Wow again Paul. Absolutely beautiful locations and your stunning images are amazing. I particularly like the second cove images with the yachts and the cliffs on the right hand side. It's a typical astrophotographers mindset with things beyond our control with light pollution, people shining torches and the sea movement but the yacht lights were really nice in your image with reflections on the water. The astronomy constellation tour was a great touch and interesting to watch, I do love the star glow filter, one for my wishlist I'll never afford haha. It really does make the constellations pop. I did see another meteor at 29.57 over your right shoulder at the lighthouse cove. I'm looking forward to your autumnal milky-way videos. I do learn so much and inspired about night scaping and Widefield astrophotography from you. It's a real joy to simply take out a dslr and tripod. It's easy to take everything in one go set up and start shooting the images. Keep up the fantastic work and I love your website. Kind regards

How great to get out and visit 5 locations for Milky Way shots! Great relaxed video Paul 😀 Excellent images mate! Love the website too! Your aurora images are great, as well as East Anglia, all good in fact! We were lucky to go to Northern Finland, Karesuvanto, in 2020 just before Covid, we stayed at Davvi Artic Lodge, fantastic place, we could walk across the border to Sweden! We were 300km above the Artic Circle, saw the aurora three nights out of four😀 Very lucky! I need to do some serious Milky Way shots Paul! Your videos are a great reference mate👍 Clear skies!

Very relaxing video Paul! I love how you always get to set the atmosphere of the scene so well. I agree it is often times more enjoyable on vacation to shoot at easy to get to locations since you just don't know what the dangers are of driving and/or hiking somewhere sketchy in unknown terrain 😅.

Thanks Paul. I had got very lazy with tracked shots (always a massive faff in the field!) but trying to make amends now. I still like the simplicity of static stacked shots, but for certain parts of the sky the extra detail is worthwhile. Now I just need the discipline!!
Another great video Paul, love the guided tour of the night sky 👍. I'm impressed with the almost night vision your vlogging camera gives you - what are you using and are you shooting super high ISO?
Thanks Greg. I’m using a first generation Sony A7S and a Samyang 24mm f/1.4 lens. The Sony is good High-ISO performance (I think most of my night footage is shot at about ISO 160,000), although naturally it’s noisy (I deal with some of that in post using NEAT video) and I have to crop the left 10% of the image as it leaves a horrible magenta cast. But I’m generally quite pleased with it’s performed given used examples can be picked up relatively affordable (compared to new mk3!!).
@@nightscapejournals Wow, ISO 160k, no wonder it looks like night vision. I'm using either a Nikon Z6 or Z30 - I might experiment with using higher ISO for the night vlogs.
