This is kinda funny, because despite following googles advice for the last decade, I find my sites getting out ranked by low quality top 10 SaaS lists going on 5 years now.
As a website owner and content creator, I try to remember that people these days are reading less and less. I used to read long blog pages, but now I watch videos! Maybe instead of constantly trying to get more traffic to blog posts and product reviews, we should concentrate our efforts on making useful, entertaining, and quality videoes. And it touched a nerve when the speakers mentioned redundency. Really, how many pages about tomatoes do we need? Not 1,770,000,000, that's for sure!
Feedback?? About 2 months ago, I spent 20 minutes typing a comment in direct relation to my UK business site, and within 30 minutes your channel deleted it. Google doesn't do feedback. I hear you having a good laugh there, and as they say, Nero fiddled while Rome burned. It's not much of a laugh for me.
Without a technically sound website, google can't or will have issues finding your content in the first place. So many people don't understand this. Good content is worthless if it isn't being indexed appropriately or at all. Cheers,
So to summarise Google wants you to: 1. De-SEO your pages. 2. Produce less content. 3. If you are still going produce content, do it for topics that make no money. Clowns!
Yeah this is a "I can't interpret information correctly" issue and maybe read their actual in-depth webmaster documentation instead of trying to understand a vertical in a 20 minute video.
What happened to indexing videos on my site. I have large video above the fold only thing on the page but not ranked. Also, the videos i create are great for users to understanding but are not indexed? could you give a buff to websites that use videos to help explain topics. Can google integrate with youtube captions to confirm high quality content?
And sometimes these don't need to be fixed (like nonindexed pages that don't need to be!) or if you're just validating and not making any changes, it's going to take longer because you're wasting their crawlers time if nothing changes and they bump a pages priority in the que
Being super brand new to seo and understanding google in the context of my blog I’m not smart enough for this video I guess. A lot of the sarcasm (I think) went over my head. Not sure what is important and what isn’t. Do you have suggestions of yt channels, or videos I should watch on this channel to learn the basics of getting my blog posts to be seen and rank on google search?
I am an SEO web developer who knows the basics. My website can't create duplicate URLs because I create them myself with html. I have checked the server, my files only contain the pages I have created.
@@janiceboling Are you on WordPress using a plugin for SEO? I would start with digging around in your SEO plugin settings and see if there are some canonical URLs that are being indexed that shouldn't be. Yoast tends to turn several unnecessary server folders on for index that should be turned off, especially if you've recently migrated your site. I'm of course making a lot of assumptions about your particular set up...
Lol don't use SEO tools to gauge your websites health. Also, you need to review it's technical health. Without a technically sound website, your content is worthless if it can't rank in search.

I'm pretty sure that not even Google knows exactly how the bots rank sites 100 percent.
It was great to hear your thoughts on different topics.
Thanks for it. Regarding Technical SEO issues, how to deal with UTM parameters on Google sites ?

I want to know why Search Console says I have over 1000 unindexed pages but my site only has 200 pages!
your website might be creating duplicate urls,
you need consult a good web developer who know SEO stuff basics, he can resolve the problem

@@janicebolingCheck the urls reported, they might be feeds or other links with parameters.
