Ugh, this spot is quite depressing. The animals all look miserable. Their enclosures are pitiful and they feed them garbage. I wish they would shut it down and send those poor animals to proper zoos.
Proper zoos don't want them. They are all terribly inbred with health issues. Most of them aren't even one pure subspecies of tiger. There are sanctuaries but tigers are more expensive to feed then to produce so if they take them from places like this without laws to prevent more being born next year its the same issue over and over again.
I couldn’t really finish this episode solely because you could see boredom and agony. They are not meant to be in cages or a compound. And Jacob kinda made it worse for me just walking around calling them and saying hey buddy can I pet you.

I believe 5 or 7 of these big cats, including white tigers and a liliger were rescued to The Wildcat Sanctuary in Minnesota. A truly wonderful sanctuary for the rest of their lives. Check it out. They will never be exploited again.
As someone who has worked at a bunch of zoo's and actually studied management for care wildlife I can honestly tell you that Those animals look horrible. The habitats are terrible the animals look everything except for happy and healthy. They should shut that down shit down immediatly

How is it that this documentary is the most normal think of 2020? I saw this at the beginning of the pandemic as well. Each episode kept getting crazier and crazier. Being in Oklahoma we already knew how crazy Joe was. His campaigns were entertaining!

The place as had many staff employees hurt. Place is NOT licensed by the state, it's NOT regulated, not inspected and has No certifications. Like ZAA, AZA. Shall I go on? Bored, stressed whatever. But its clear they aren't happy. If they had a very very large outdoor area run and play and spacious cages they would be somewhat happier. I like zoos if the animals are looked after properly and suitable housing cause they can be quite educational for children and adults alike

The size and state of most of the enclosures are sad. The animals give the impression of not being happy. I'm not against places that can house animals properly but bad vibes from this place.
Went to T.I.G.E.R.S. in Myrtle Beach for a entire day, before the documentary came out, for my 30th birthday with my parents. You are correct about not allowing photos or cameras inside. They do film and take photos of your entire day and sell at the end of your visit (I believe we got over 300 pics and videos throughout the visit, I don't remember for how much, each package is a different price). The animals looked to be taken care of very well in a beautiful world class setting (at least all of the areas they let us see) and they seemed to watch everyone interacting with their animals like a hawk. Overlooking all of the now known controversy...It was a ONCE in a lifetime experience that we will never forget!!
This really broke my heart, I don't like visiting regular zoos either though but I used to take my daughter. Wild animals should be free. These poor creatures all looked so miserable and the cages were so small...I wish with all of the money that the netflix series made that a wildlife rescue would come in to save ALL of these beautiful animals❤thanks for sharing your video.
Jacob, I recommend you visit the Center for Animal Research & Education (CARE) In Bridgeport, north Texas. They have 27 tigers, 4 lions, and about 20 other animals. CARE is sanctuary. Most of the animals are former exotic pets, or have been re-homed from other sanctuaries which were forced to close. You can stand about 4 feet from the fences, and you can take all the photos and videos you want. Right now CARE is closed due to Covid, but it’s definitely worth putting on your to-do list!
The animals getting medical care are a couple big cats whose ears were fly bitten and bloody! They are under investigation by the USDA because they’re hurt and emaciated😢. If you go to the fb group Oklahoma day trips(and side stops) put in Wynnewood zoo and you’ll see a post from Thursday. Sad stuff!

You could check out the Wisconsin Big Cat Rescue, which houses big cats rescued from zoos who can no longer care for them. It's like a retirement for cats who are unable to care for themselves in the wild. Wanted to pass along the suggestion. I've not seen the documentary about Tiger King. Nice video, Jacob. :)

The staff is trying their best with what they have but they definitely need a better space for the animals a lot of them looked sad and most where just pacing cause they are bored. I hope the new space has lots more room for the tigers to roam around and more space for the other animals to roam around and actually play.

I've seen petting zoo's that are far more generous with an animal's living space. These roadside zoo's need to be eliminated. If people really want to work with exotic animals, they should get a job at a real zoo.
Don't say all road side zoo's are bad. That is a misconception. This one yes. Not all road side zoo's are like this. Matter of fact a good and reputable road side zoo is regulated and inspected by the state! And the keepers are college graduates in zoology. And several road side zoo's are involved with species survival programs. This place on the other hand is a disgrace.

I grew up going here a lot in the early 2000s. It was different back then but still not the best conditions. Once they started the cub petting and breeding we stopped going. It’s really weird having the whole world talking about some small place from your childhood.

Go to preservation station and you can get a pic with a baby lion or tiger (I’m too afraid to but I’ve watched other people do it)

Ugh poor animals. They all need more room. I really hope Carol does what is best for those animals. Even though she was my least favorite person in the documentary. I hope she does what’s best for them.
Carole is taking the land. None of the animals. She doesn’t care about these animals. She’s only worried about money. Jeff Lowe is keeping the animals.
When I was a young boy,I was fascinated by observing wild animals in a zoo....but now I dont think that way...they are like in prison...they need to be free in the wild...i dont go to zoos anymore and by the way I actually worked in a zoo assigned to a polar bear lair...these animals are not happy encaged...

💔🐻 The clearly malnourished bear eating just a little bit of watermelon, eggs, and peanut butter was particularly heartbreaking to watch. It looks like it’s starving and only getting scraps of how much it really should be eating
The staff is trying their best with what they have but they definitely need a better space for the animals a lot of them looked sad and most where just pacing cause they are bored. I hope the new space has lots more room for the tigers to roam around and more space for the other animals to roam around and actually play.
When the person that still works there flipped off all the carpetbagger viewers it told me all I needed to know about this place and the people that work there.

I binged Tiger King in one night too! I stayed up until 6am. It was like an incredibly horrible train wreck, I was shocked at what I was seeing but I Could NOT look away!!!!

I've seen petting zoo's that are far more generous with an animal's living space. These roadside zoo's need to be eliminated. If people really want to work with exotic animals, they should get a job at a real zoo.
Don't say all road side zoo's are bad. That is a misconception. This one yes. Not all road side zoo's are like this. Matter of fact a good and reputable road side zoo is regulated and inspected by the state! And the keepers are college graduates in zoology. And several road side zoo's are involved with species survival programs. This place on the other hand is a disgrace.
I've seen actual zoos that are way worse than this.
Getting job at zoo is very difficult normally need to know someone there.
You know, we watched Tiger King so we knew what the conditions looked like but somehow seeing it in your video really just drove home how many tigers are there and how little space they have. I truly hope those animals have a better life in their future.

I grew up going here a lot in the early 2000s. It was different back then but still not the best conditions. Once they started the cub petting and breeding we stopped going. It’s really weird having the whole world talking about some small place from your childhood.
