Hi Ed great videos for the RD2000, however when I visited the Axial site I was disappointed with the amount of voices available for this piano. Considering this is Roland's flagship stage piano. There is more voices for the Roland FA08, compared to both the RD2000 and the new Fantom 8. I was considering purchasing the new Fantom 8, but it seems the Roland FA08 has been better looked after, with available sounds, and at a much lower price point. Thanks for your videos, they really help, and are put together in a easy to understand way, that both the novice, and veterans can easily understand, great job Andy.
I absolutely LOVE this piano... bought the first one and had issue with keys double triggering and random velocity jumps. Got the second one... same problem happening. Very sad! Wish it could be working just right since it's not a cheap keyboard. :(
Hi Ed, Great video - just wondering is there any kind of guide on which piano fits best with a given style? I have been listening to all genres of music for years but still when I listen to an individual instrument it is a struggle to determine where a given preset fits. Somethings are more obvious like compression, but it isn't clear why a piano preset is better suited to rock, jazz, classical, etc.
Hi. Thanks for at great video. Is it possible to adjust the EQ on one particular sound on a preset with several sounds in it? I often use all 8 faders for live performances and I find that the piano sounds doesn't have as much output as the rest.
Hi Ed, thanks for the amazing videos that you make for Roland. When I started to change the EQ on my RD2000, I really heard the pianos pop. One question I had, is there any way to set EQ per instrument in an 8 layer/instrument set? or is it an overall eq?
Sorry it isn´t (?) The RD2000 is an awesome instrument with multiple options where there are often "multiple paths to the goal" You have a "2 band equalizer" for the TONE EFFECTS with LOW GAIN and HIG GAIN that you can route for SuperNatural Pianos on channel 2-8. It is not quite the same as for the V-PIANOS on channel 1 which has a 5 band equalizer available (the V-Pianos is only on channel 1) You can also use the same principle for eg. Reverb and Delay on Channels 2-8 for the SuperNatural Pianos! Hope this makes some sense to you! By the way... I LOVE MY RD2000
Hi. I think that you can do it for the SuperNatural pianos, but not the MD ones. This guy talks about it up at the end. ruclips.net/video/aur-eSLiaWs/видео.html
@@DamienSawyer Interesting dialogue... I have to correct myself a bit ... have looked at the link that you attach which I think is "partially correct".
Hi .. i tried to get a good sound from my rd 2000 by connecting it to yamaha hs7..i connected the monitors directly to the keyboard without any interface..and i got a mud sound from the speakers.. My question is shall i use interface to get a clear crystal sound like monitor headphones ? 🙏🙏
for 2-1/2 to 3 grand it ought play/sound like a real piano, This is for people who prefer tinkering and adjusting, instead of paying. Question to ask is,,, if you buy this because of-so called- authentic sound,,,,,they why the 1000 plus option sounds, is this an electric piano or is it not? Roland obviously admits it does not sound real, as they and you and others say just in and adjust it, so there you admit it does not sound authentic and that it needs adjusting. And I'm no pro. It's a must to hear one before you get one. thnaks for letting me comment, before that feature is removed.
As always, you are very knowledgable about Roland products

I am so in love with this piano. I wouldn't switch it for anything. Thanks for the tutorials. I need to learn this stuff.
Dear Ed, you are awesome to provide these tutorials. Thanks a ton. 👍

Very usefull. Every user should know that
Would have been nice to have had an editor for Mac for the RD-2000
