Finally, a Pianist that demonstrates nuance, mystery, and atmosphere with their playing during a demo instead of just playing as quickly as they can in an obvious attempt to be flashy instead of expressive. I cannot thank you enough for this.
I totally agree. I've seen far too many demos done by Jordan Rudess and other players in that same vein. While they're undoubtedly amazingly players and their virtuosic mastery of their instrument is impressive, they often prefer to show off and play as fast as they can, and play the most complex lines they can conceive. And in that regard, you don't get a good sense of the sound and timbre of the patches, which is actually supposed to be the purpose of a demo in the first place. So in doing that, they defeat the whole purpose of the demo.
OK... finally a keyboard with ALL controllers a keyboardist need, beautifully arranged... 88 high quality piano keys, joystick, pitch bender, modulation, 8 knobs + 8 sliders with light indicators, a big dial, lots of assignable buttons... it's a gorgeous MIDI controller and also a massive stage piano.... Good job Roland! I want this....
You guys look like have access to test different pianos, have you ever tested the Kurzweil Forte or the Physis K4 EX to see how they fare against the RD2000?
Also, it has the V-Piano sounds as well with no velocity switching.
@@bengieg3152 In fact, the Super Natural tech takes the all hole advanced specs and capabilities sported in the Vpiano.. and started to empowered all the "minor" models from top end Fantom, Integra and some other as the RD NX stage piano series.. such Rd3000nx 700nx, 800nx until we arrive to this rd2000 ;) for me, one of the truly TOPS (NO, not the Kronos in this league), I'd love to see a comparison against the Kurzweil Upgraded... but, I'm afraid.. there's not still a board to match with it! The new Forte is 5 in 1 (a stage piano, an arranger, a workstation, a synth and still. a master controller).
Demos don't get much better than this. Of course it helps when you've got this kind of talent on the keys. Great job!

Jeffrey Kaufmann Modern stage pianos ARE digital pianos! If you prefer a home piano with a traditional look, buy one. Be aware, however, that:
- you pay additional money for the furniture,
- stage pianos generally offer more technical features, e.g. sounds and controllers, as you can see here.

Excellent demo! Haven’t heard much about this particular keyboard but it sounds like it can easily rub shoulders with the Kurzweils and Nords. And delightful to hear demonstrated by an outstanding player!

1) Does it have PORTAMENTO function? 2) does it have HAMMOND sound? and can we manage it with BARS? 3) how can we put WAH WAH Efect to CLAV sound?
1) No. Why should a piano have portamento?
2) Yes. Tonewheel sounds are pretty good, esp. those in the free expansion board.
And yes, you can use the sliders as drawbars (and the lever as halfmoon switch).
3) There are ready-to-play clav tones with wha wha. And I there are probably stand-alone wha whas in the huge and excellent FX section; can’t have a look at it right now.

I was really disappointed with the keyboard - but maybe the expectations are just too high. In particular, I can't understand why the Ultimate Piano Sound (my favorite sound, perfect for Chopin) has been left out. It was a wunderful piano sound. So I stay with my RD-700GX with piano extension.
