Great build and excellent video production! I am amazed by how smoothly the installation went for your first RC, I wanted to get into RC once but the electronics looked pretty complicated so I never went for it. But after watching you build it I might give it a try in the future👍
I think we have all the WPL models. C14 , C24, B16 , B36, B24? I dunno? My favorite is the C14. I think I paid about $33 5 years ago. It's crazy, but we've added/upgraded all of em with all the best parts. 370 moto, w sp trans, metal D shafts, oil-filled coil over shocks, better TX/RX and ESC. Aluminum wheels, wheel weights, dual wheel kits on some 😁. All told, we probably put $/50 in upgrades on $30 trucks. Best bet, upgrade everything with metal. I mean EVERYTHING. If you do that , they're not bad
Thanks for input :) I am not competing, so stock model is perfectly fine for my needs. In future I would like to get something smaller to play around indoors, maybe orlando or similar model :)
@@StaticModel Yeah I've seen those Orlando models. Its been a while though. Maybe out of business? From what I remember, they were pretty nice. A bit smaller than WPL, maybe 1/18 0 or 1/24 scale? But high quality, and scale size too. A little higher than WPL, .but RC is one of those hobbies like coins/currency or astronomy. You REALLY get what you pay for. You can spend $30-50 for an el cheapo Tasco 70mm refractor telescope and see the moon. Or spend $1500 for a SCT or 8-10" reflector and Plossl lenses and the delicate, intricate colors and shadows on the polar ice caps on Mars, or the subtle cloud bandson Jupiter or Saturn. I've imaged the ISS in stacked photos that rival NASA or the ESA. I've got sun spot or CME pics NASA has offered to purchase. "but they'd claim ownership rights. and take credit ". And, my work, their money. But, WPL. I paid like $33 or so for the C24. Blue Toyota 4X4 with a topper. plastic everything!!!! Then the disease got me. WPL Disorder. I upgrade the D-shafts, motor and 2-sp trans. A 6 ch TX-RX, alum wheels, oil-field coil over shocks. Custom paint. Then got the C14 w/ rock crawler bed. Spent prolly $50-60 on parts. A $30 toy RC. Then I got the B36 Ural 6X6. Added a Heng Long smoke generator, full LED lights, and a sound module. Easy $100.More research. found JJRC, and Fayee Same stuff, different name. Now I have all of them I think? Except the 1/12 scale JJRC? Jeep I think, and the new D121 1/10 scale. Will order tomorrow 😁. I really wanna put a 500 or 5t0 12 turn crawler motor in it. And, maybe? if I can find/modify/make a front steerable diff. Some longer oil filled dual shocks, full LEDs, and hide a smoke generator in the cab? or under the bed. Yeah, that means a lift kit.So? We/I currently have over 100+ RC vehicles, 3 nitro off-,road, prolly 10 or 15 1/10, 1/12 elec off road, 20+ cars, 6 boats, w5+ CoAx helis, about 10 FPV quads, some were stunt quads I I modded to FPV. Have a TMAXX, EMAXX, SLAS6 w/ OBA, even a HPI Big Block nitro 4X4 w/ elec start. Invested over $1000 in it. I used to have an office at home. Now no floor left. LOL Can't really see the walls either. I collect WW11 rifles, and coins too. And currency, ammo too. Ya know, silver and gold is real money All else is credit. Here's a tip. Very, very soon ammo will be REAL money too. Invest now!!! I know you can't eat it. BUT pretty soon. there will only be two kinds of people. Slaves, and those that can shoot back. SORRY. Didn't mean to get on a rant. I just see our great nation going to the New World Order.. Most are too busy with America's Got Talent, NASCAR, and watching govt scripted fake news. It's almost too late. So, again about going on and on. Maybe it's the drugs? Huh? Been disabled 10 yrs now, so I'm out here in the sticks (Alabama), not much to do except shoot guns, fly my toys, and try to prep for the UGLY days ahead. Be safe.
@@StaticModel Oh. I got sidetracked. LOL but they make these RC POCKET RACERS." As seen on TV" LOL They're full function, w/ lights, HO scale, cars. The charger/controller/carry case smaller than a pack of smokes, uses one AA battery. Charge 30 sec, runs 5 minutes. FAST!!! 2.4 gHz all different freq. Can all run same time Highly recommend
@@StaticModel thanks bro going to pick up a good rc soon mite even get yours but see what happens plenty to choose from ill be watchin buddy keep up the good work mate, 👍keith
That's a TS-34, but not gonna lie - retro rc's is what inspired me customizing this truck, lunchbox is one of them - sadly never had opportunity to get one at the time :)
Hi, thank you for this great video! I wonder if you have a video where you show how to do "enamel wash"? Ratio of paint to thinner, what can be used to clean up the paint bleed, etc. Thank you so much!
Defining ratio is not so straight forward, paint viscosity may differ from brand to brand, also factor like temperature and how old paint is also has effect. Just thin paint till it starts to flow freely into panel line, and test on scrap plastic or parts that won't be seen much... :)
@@StaticModel hahaha... Youre right! I just want to hold that mirror in place strong enough for running before I take it off easily enough to paint the body (dont know when).
Great build. I just finished a lunchbox build in tamiya T34 colour scheme. Great choice of colour.
Your paint work and attention to detail is amazing! Thanks for the video!
Thanks for watching! Glad you like it :)

I might be a bit late but, what grit of sandpaper did u use for the body before painting?? Hopefully u answer my question. Thanks!!
What a good video
Thank You:)
se tiene que comprar aparte el control remoto.?
The paint he is using for the body is Tamiya TS-34 camel yellow.
Is the blue pouch grease or lock tite?
Grease
Lock tite in the diff 😑
What grit of sand paper did you use?
Don't know, just whatever felt right :)
How did you connect the lights to the receiver?
Since lights came with pre-soldered "futaba" type plug, i connected it to the one of free channels in my flysky receiver.
@@StaticModel Ahhh okay not the stock lights?
@@cizardev Stock, keep in mind I have ordered kit version, not the RTR, they are slightly different.
@@StaticModel that makes sense! Will probably have to resolder the wires or try and buy the kit lights!

do you glue the rear view mirror? what glue?
Just a CA glue
@@StaticModel its permanent then?
@@arievianza in some sense - yes
But nothing is permanent in rc hobby :)

@@arievianza it should hold secure enough without a glue, pins are quite long.
