The predecessor was one of my personal favorite games and as a fan of the whole JW universe, also the best Build-up game in my opinion. There was a lot of criticism about it, but for me, it worked perfectly fine as it was. So I'm really happy for another good time with the second part and many fond memories.
I know it was a great game, I loved it to death as well. But excuse me, worked perfectly? I can't put a restaurant in a vast open area because there is a restroom 50 meters away to the left and a bowling alley 40 meters to the right of my ghost restaurant
@Michael T I mean as the first in its line of this series in specific, the second game can and likely will set out to go ahead and fill the gaps and shortcomings of the first game, and more. It’s basically part of what makes a sequel a good sequel. Giving more of what you remember and usually more.
I agree. I had some minor hiccups with Claire's Sanctuary but I fixed that pretty fast. And setting the goal of getting all islands to 5 stars is a pretty fun challenge :D

I hope they’ve learned from the mistakes of the first one. Like many, I was hoping for an expansive and updated game. Graphically it was amazing. Mechanics and gameplay is where it fell short. Islands too small, that one update with the flat open one wasn’t really what we wanted, glad to see they’re not giving up on it.
This basically sums up why I won't buy before release and I see some gameplay.
Frontier is famous for the dumping of tons of dlc and then leaving the game after a year to just dry up and die like planet coaster did 😓.
And the ranger teams🙄
They were very limited by Universal too with the first one. They could only do what they were allowed.

Can’t wait for this. First one was gorgeous but that’s it, gameplay wise and theme park building wise it was dull. Hope they really step up this time
If they make the building part like Planet Zoo, i'm sold.
Doesn't look like it, the building in the trailers look like the placeable ones like the last one. If you looking for that, might wanna stick to Prehistoric Kingdom.

I hope they make the landscaping tools a bit more user friendly, I found making ground even quite hard tbh

@@ALX65 Do yourself a favor, buy a PC with that money. You won't even have to rebuy your games as most XBOX exclusives are cross-play with PC :) Keep your bluetooth controller and you have a better XBOX.

Anyways,I'll look into that,but I'm no gamer that you know,plays games every day and would literally buy the more expensive controller just because it's the right color🤣 that's dedication. Lets hope all those expensive DLC's we bought on the first game actually are being used to make this one. Lets also hope this one doesnt have tons of cut content attached to pay walls(DLC)
It'll have those as per usual with this publisher. And seeing everyone being hyped as little children here, instead of criticizing the studio for milking the original with sub-par, over-priced DLCs, it won't be surprising they don't change their habit.
@@Klatts2 I know my man, but Frontier go a little bit overboard with their DLC policies. They're not alone, but Paradox, Dovetail, and Frontier are among the worst IMO.
The only worst I can think of on top of my head is EA with The Sims' franchise.

it makes no sense, there were like 23 dinossaurs on main laind, how the hell they multiply like that, its not like they are small either...i could see compsognatus multiplying hidden from human eyes, but stegs,trikes, brachiossaurs ?

Seriously all this game needs to be good; A decent number of modes, a decent wide variety of dinosaurs with unique features and animations. Aviaries and Aquariums and a large number of buildings and decor.

Me too my mind is blown when i saw this trailer and I was deeply surprised and I'm glad those guys at Frontier made a sequel to this video game and when i learn that you can build parks anywhere in the world alongside isla nublar i was like "this is my type of video game".

With what they've done to Elite Dangerous recently, I'm skeptical.
I mean sure i can see dec 21 with how half baked the first one was this prob just going to be a reskin of that plus a water pen.
After how they fucked the latest Elite:Dangerous expansion, I'll be extremely wary if I were you; it's clear they've gone to a model based on upping the stock price over the actual quality of the games.

I hope theres a Site B mode where you can create a functional ecosystem like on Isla sorna in the movies, and I hope the island space to build on is allot bigger than in evolution 1

@@mystere4838 so far ive heard the animals will be more territorial, picking spots in the paddocks that they like the most and making it their territory, and will fight other species of dinosaur to defend that territory
You know at some point in the future,
it would really be cool if we could create a huge ecosystem where there are no barriers to restrict dinosaur interactions and encounters.
A huge sandbox game where you could take actions to create a dynamic world based not on a restrictive park but a 'world'.
Imagine herds of herbivores or carnivores that have great AI behaviors across a gigantic map.
An ecosystem sort of thing would be cool but it relies on the animals ability to reproduce to keep the populations stable
Can't wait to down another 200 hours into this franchise

Would be cool if watering holes can be made into neutral zones like shown in the netflix show so you can have natural parks, also can't wait to see pack hunts in action along with more flyers and introduction to aquatic dinos

I’m cautiously optimistic. I so desperately want this to be better than JWE 1, and I’m hoping that the frontier devs learned from that title and are ready to move forward with something truly phenomenal here
JWE was far from a bad game. What held it back was obviously it's tie to Universal and the limits they undoubtedly put on Frontier.

I don't know man. According to the screenshots available on the official web site, it looks just like a simple copy-paste of Evolution 1. Buildings, fences, paths, visitors, power grids and dinosaur models all look same as in Evolution 1. Even the the buildable park space looks like it's going to be small and narrow, just like in JWE1. It seems that they only changed the tropical island setting into a mainland setting.
At this point, I'm very disappointed. It looks more like a DLC for JWE1 then a new game.
@@blobbertmcblob4888 I wouldn't go so far as to say that. I'd say more than anything, progression was a bit overtly complex than anything else, on top of that, the maps were a bit small for what they were.
@@blobbertmcblob4888 the maps were tiny, the path system is a nightmare, and the terrain tools are abysmal.
None of that has to do with Universal. That is engine level stuff and severely hampered the potential of the game.
Finally! After all these years with me constantly, CONSTANTLY checking RUclips for JWE update has come to an end. It really paid off

I thought the Pteranodon's shadow looking like a bird for a moment was really clever. I always did like seeing pterosaurs fold their wings like a bird rather than the usual quadrupedal bat-like stance.

I’m so excited! But I’m a bit afraid that they’ll reuse animations, and models, i really hope this game goes beyond the previous game!
The Rex has a model change and they guaranteed new hunting, territorial display, and a lot more to make the dinosaurs feel as real as possible, so I doubt they'll use the same animations, very exited!
Rex got a new model, hopefully more new ones are on the rise!
