must be hard not to show your feelings about the workman ship when your on those jobs
Bodgett and Leggit doing that house renovation!
Yes very strange to do a compression tee in copper like that unless it was all they had to hand
Even so, it's still mad. Short cuts making for longer walks again!
i cannot get over that wallpaper 🤣
All that shoot under the floorboards. Some builders are absolute cowboys
Buy a new house and look under the boards - bottles of piss I kid you not.
Quality mate. Your knowledge of many different systems is incredible. Did Sherlock Duck teach you or was there a human involved? 😂😂
Nice work my friend 👌👌👍👍
I can’t believe that they neither clip the pipes to the joists and don’t insulate them either so there loads do heat loss. 😂
We're so happy!
Brass olives in the compression fitting. For plastic pipe, should have been changed out for the softer copper ones
Not sure I'd be happy with any of that pipework
If its leaking it has to be under the ground floor . Surely anyone can lift a couple of boards and have a look . Save money not getting in leak finders
How many boards and finished floors are you prepared to lift then?
@@normanboyes4983 you dont need a specialist to drain the system and pressurise it with compressed air . You would hear the hissing noise from the air leaking .
Also push fit shouldn’t be used on chrome pipe
Why does the UK waste money on copper pipes? We did away with copper in the 60's and we use polyethylene pipes joined with MOD Compression fittings.
These fittings are very easy to install, very strong grip, and easy to remove and reseal without any tools.
You guys wasting time with brazed copper which corrodes over time, leaves an awful taste in the water, and reacts badly with limescale and other minerals in the water.
Poly is also more insulated, so doesn't need as much lagging on hot systems.
true, but most of my leak detection jobs are on modern buildings with poly pipe - houses fitted with copper 60 years ago are still leak free and no mouse munchey on the pipes hahaha.
