I am sorry to be so negative, but when you said her normals are very good, I think to myself... Is this copium? I can't bring myself to agree her normals are very good when that 5A is 10f with that range. Enchantress 5B literally goes further than Inq 5C, and is the same 10f as Inq 5A. But thanks for putting the work into making a guide for Inquisitor.
Idk I think their normals just have different applications. Inquisitor to me is more about controlling space rather than the advancing normals that some have like enchantress. While enchantress has a nice forward moving 5B she lacks and immediate follow low since her 2B is (mid, low). Inquisitor has 5C servers as a good confirm tool off 5A for her as well as a natural frame trap which can also bait most DP’s with 5MS if you read one. The applications of this along with a command dash make for more mind games that some character can apply in their pressure a simple space control tool. Now her normals do have some wild recovery that’s why I prioritize simple 5M baits to start off.
@@DaikenFGC I see your point, and I think what you said is valid. It is true enchantress don't have reliable link after landing a max spaced 5B. My problem with her normal is more on the raw usage. For me, what concerns me is how neutral are played base on her normal and their slow frame data. When playing footies, we often get our buttons stuffed by either range or frame. With Inquisitor longest ground button being 5C, and that 5C is on a 16f start up, you need to pick your options faster compare to you opponent. That is what makes me dislike her normal. It has one of the slowest frame data for melee character, and they don't convert into significant damage. Landing 5A would net her around 250 average damage combo (without spending excessive mana), but when her 5A is as slow as majority of cast's 5B, that seems quite a bit on the low side. What happen most of the time is her 5C gets outframed while not having exactly longer range than most other's C options, and up close she lacks fast button to contest. Her normal to me are restricted in their raw data much like how they give her low hp and massive mana usage. I will keep your point in mind, though! I did focus too much on the raw stats of her moves and didn't compare the character as a whole. Even though I do still feel her normals are outclassed, but I will look for new perspective. Thank you for the discussion.
i appreciate this guide since i kinda was lost with how to play her and kept eating half health bar off one hit lol what tier would you put inquisitor in comparison to other characters?
oh shit I didn'T realize you could continue after the first divekick! I was doing divekick into Wheel into flask and then tried to catch them blocking low on wakeup, What you did is a whole lot more damage. I'll have to try that!
@@DaikenFGC yeah terminology is not my strong suit. I can regular crouch and poke and get a counter. But that seems to be about it, I can never confirm into a real combo after the poke. I have a little over 300 games played and a little over 100 wins so I'm still a baby haha
@@somature2106 do you mean 2B? You can do 2B 5S and then go on to the BNB. If 2B and 5S are blocked you just keep the pressure going. The lower their guard bar is, the more they'll want to press a button. That's when you delay stuff. Your BNB can start from the same moves as your pressure, so you generally will have 2 moves to notice that you're hitting them
The wheel is sooo expensive! And only do about a bar and a half of guard bar along with no real mix from it. I like it for when I feel I can guard break tho. I personally feel wheel should do a bit more guard damage for how expensive it is.
@@DaikenFGC I just mistime my punishes on her alot, just doesn't sit right I'm my head, the only matchup I've run into that is actually bad is Berserker, that sucks
She’s the first character I started using in the game. I find her gameplay a lot better than Striker
Rip striker? Hopefully my striker guide coming soon make you a striker believer again as well!
Commenting for love, thanks for the vid man!
Appreciate the support as always! 🙏
I really appreciate the guide, you made her a hella lot more fun for me now that I understand her character
Lord Daiken, any chance of more DNF guides and gameplay? Lovin the content bro

I checked rankings yesterday and at the time the top player plays inquisitor lol
Interesting… lol
Wow really?

Inquisitor kinda reminds me of hakumen in bb but faster and no counters but her buttons feel similar
I have had a lot of success using your videos, thanks a ton.
Is it possible to combo off a crouching counter or is that more of a neutral reset?
Im glad they are helping you out! Also what exactly do you mean by crouching counter?

I needed this one!! Definitely going to main her
What's also insanely fun to do is wheel combos wich I barely saw him do.
Thanks for the guide looking to learn her after playing ranger and Hitman.
Oh no not the hitman… idk if he needs a guide but I may do him after striker. Everyone can have a 30 min hitman 💀
@@DaikenFGC I already play both yea hitman does not need a guide 🤣😂
Thanks for the guide!
dnf duel is my 2nd fighting game to play, and i wanted character similar to pyra/mythra. The wheel reminded me alot of pyra 🤣
play on PC > download dragon knight Mythra mod > Profit?
Can somebody help me please? When I'm going for the combo at 8:35 the 6SS after the vial doesn't connect. Any ideas why?
Thank you!
I noticed you don't go for the wheel much to apply pressure

Perfect timing
There was a loop for her before. Not sure if they patched it. But it also depends if you had mana to do so.
There was another loop? I know the j.S > 6SS loops but that’s all I remember from beta inquisitor
@@DaikenFGC I saw it before. I just don't remember it.
@@DaikenFGC he could be talking about 6MS loops in the corner. It’s used in her more damaging corner routes.
Noooooo she keeps bullying my striker

Cool but where’s the Striker guide 😝
