@@adekunleadeniran7583 No, am not an American, but the way Americans had spun the F-16 like a magic weapon that can take down any plane including say Su-35, Su-30SM or even Su-57. But fact remains that these are older F-16 A/B from NATO allies, the so called hand me downs. Also the pilots are not trained to the level of top NATO pilots who have years of training on this plane. These F-16 A & Bs never really had a chance against Russian Su-35 & Su-30 SM which have modern avionics and weapons, so these F-16s are just a better and expensive cannon fodder. Would USA give their F-16 Block 60 to ukraine, which are top of the F-16 ladder. i dont think so, USA is still trying to sell F-16 to many countries in South America, Middle east and south Asia. They would not pit their modern iteration against Su-30 SM s as there is good chance that Su-30SM will easily take down any version of F-16 hands down. thats why we dont see countries donating the likes of Eurofighter, Rafale or Gripen to Ukraine to fight. These are top 4th gen planes but they are also trying to be sold to countries like India. With actual combat happening, these countries might actually lose the plane as well as the market.
