yay You defo want Advanced Enginering upgraded now you transition into traps. The reduced crafting time is also nice, but that could be fixed with more workstations. The exp-gain from trap-kills is something you cant get elsewhere. And you worked hard for those kills. Days and nights mining, hours of crafting, building, designing and what have we. Its NOT cheap to run turrets. its NOT easy exp. Things to consider; shotgunturrets work at close range, SMG turrets at medium range. They will set off the demoguys if you hit the detonator. 1 pellet is enough. The blade will be shot to pieces where its at. And same as electric fences, then its probable a good idea to place blades so they can be repaired during BM. - But GREAT for getting started. Electric traps is a chapter of its own in this game. And only way to git gud is to just try. Trial and error is wtg. Blades n turrets are great for conveyorbelt level of killing. But long range shot gun turrets are no good. - What you can do is to place the turrets right above the catwalk and flip them so they shoot top-down. Give them only 1 block opening, 2 blocks distance from the head of the upright Zs, and 1-2degree angle AWAY from the stairs so the turrets kinda shoot them in the neck, if that makes any sense. You waste less ammo, and you blow up the base less often ie. Make 2 catwalks, one to lead the zombies,(you have that alrdy) and one above that for the stationary turrets. Use enough blocks in between so the turrets dont glitch out and start to shoot through the blocks, thus wasting all ammo. Its same problem when cops see/shoot through walls. You want to avoid that. ie, when you place the turrets on the catwalk, then you flip them STRAIGHT down (minus 1-2 degree) so they dont oscillate. You want them to only shoot the zombies as they pass under the turret, to avoid setting off the demoguys. Place them on scaffolding or other stuff you can shoot through. I love the idea with the panic-mode triggerplate. but mebbi you want to place the "dispenser" on same fire-line as you? Most darts will fly into cyberspace when you shoot from the side. You want to shoot along their lines of approach Its a mystery to me why turrets isnt meta - guess its the demoguys.. I still use them to great effect when placed as described. But you have the chance to be the first who post a vid exploiting this. (top-down turrets that doesnt set of demo-guys) Mebbi itl bring back turrets to the spotlight they deserve??
@@martinwinther6013 Thanks!! Yeah this is all trial and error. I am not 100% confident on my turret placement and I know the demo's are gonna be a problem. The blades feel useless but I wanted to try them at least. The dart traps placement made sense cause that's usually where the zeds bunch up so hopefully the darts will get a few of them. To be honest, I am expecting a breach on horde night. I am expecting demo explosions and I will probably lose my ramp which will force the zeds to destroy the main area where I stand. I am expecting the worse.
You might want to consider laying down a layer of plate blocks on the ground and upgrading them to steel to prevent Demos from undermining your base. Looks very solid for now.

Hey Fire, Such an industrious episode. Mining, crafting, building... 😺 Looking forward to seeing how all your new gadgets work during Horde Night. I have also forgotten to unfreeze my drone after doing so to keep her out of the way. lol She means well, but I think they did something to the drone AI, because she gets in the way much more than I remember before. Except when you want in her inventory, then you are chasing her all over the place. 😼 Another tip I hope is helpful; I noticed when you were crafting Gunpowder you selected 'Gunpowder' rather than the 'Stack of Gunpowder'. Double check me, but I think the Stack of Gunpowder and Stack of Gas Cans will make more using less resources. Oh, and I think the latest update fixed some of the exploits with the vending machines. You can still use them to sell, but some items or pricing exploits may no longer work. Again not real sure on that, but I thought I saw or read something about that somewhere.

@@firesonggamer No, not boring at all. I enjoy watching and learning how people do all aspects of 7dtd. Building, crafting, etc.... as well as dealing with the quests and zombies. The stack crafting (gunpowder, gas cans and ammunition) do craft in bundles that you have to open. But it is crafting new, not bundling what you already have. Keeping them bundled until needed, does help save space in inventory and storage chests. It would be neat if you could bundle items you already have full stacks of for that purpose. Maybe you can and I just have not figured out how yet.

You should replace all the non sell items with 6 stone spears. Those help to sell your stones in the vending machine.
