Wow, camping trip is really awesome, I'd buy that for sure. Deep Sea build is a bit 'cluttered'. Treasure cave could go into my light house/pirate type moc, cave is excellent. Polar Express is a day 1 buy, this needs to be made, hopefully they don't do it in 'UCS' Hogwart's scale...Roman Temple.ok...would go nicely next to Colosseum if they do it at the correct scale...Penguin build is cool, could fit into a nice winter moc, medieval museum is interesting, I think I supported this one already...Ver informative and interesting post my British AFOL friend.
Thank you, some really good designs here, its fascinating to see what people can come up with in Lego. I'm in awe of people who have these visions don't have a creative gene at all lol
Really liked the camping adventure and the underwater ship wreck. That Swamp house was amazing too. They probably would be better on Bricklink so Lego cant mess with them too much.
Yeah that's what I do like about Bricklink, pretty much what you see is a final design. Most Ideas sets get changed quite drastically from concept to final design, which can be good or bad
@@LiamBrickedTheBed Oh I totally agree, Lego for some reason skimp out on trees so often. I do really like the A-Frame set but the final design was a massive downgrade from the concept
It got harder and harder to pick just one from these sets as the video progresses. But my top one remains the Camping Trip. Hopefully LEGO picks this when it got the required votes and rework it to have leas pieces for lower cost. But the details are so amazing. I had difficulty choosing between the Island Treasure Cave (the surprise reveal was awesome) and the Train Station Wild West. The Ancient Roman Temple takes the fourth spot for me. The other sets are either not appealing to me or there were too much going on. I’ll go and cast my votes now.
Yeah its not easy picking favourites is it, I cant imagine how Lego go about it. I guess it comes down to what designs can realistically be done in a retail set for a reasonable budget. Like the Swamp Hideout looks like it would be very expensive to make.
Love the Lego Ideas. Bricklink sets seem to be a faster way to production. After the foosball table debacle, don't look at Lego Ideas that much anymore. Just check and see who's getting support.
Yeah I do think the Bricklink sets are much more interesting than Ideas. I think it helps that what you see are more or less final designs where Ideas sets can drastically change. I dowonder if Lego will increase production sizes from 30k units, as one design always sells out very quick. Or maybe Lego like that so people will come back for the next series etc
Haha yeah its getting harder to keep up, sets getting more and more expensive. Money isn't the only issue, its having enough room to display sets. I don't know what I'm going to do in a another year or two lol
Haha yeah does look like a bit of an essential after the General Store and the upcoming train in series 4. My gut feeling is it wont get selected but I'm happy to be proven wrong🙂
@@TheDyslexicGeak me too!!!I got the general store and sure i'm going to get the train when it comes in February for funding on the next series. They all look so good.If is not choosen in Lego Ideias i'm pretty sure that ILucky will submit that train Station into one of the upcomming briklink series. The guy when it comes to wil west is a master
I do think they actually co-exist very well together both have their unique selling points. For example I don't think we will ever see any kind of licensed sets for Bricklink like we do with Ideas. Also Ideas are wide releases, where Bricklink sets are of course limited to 30k. But that Transylvania set looks insanely good lol, that is going to sell out so fast but I wonder just how expensive it will end up costing
Same company, different divisions geared for different targets. Ideas focuses on a larger retail audience. BDP is a specific target towards die-hard fans. Both have pros and cons. Personally I prefer the BDP but the drawback for designers is that they are limited to a 4K pcs count, which theme they are allowed, and a restricted in-stock pallet. Still, I'm all for BDP.
@@vietrounder I'm pretty sure I read that for both Bricklink and Ideas that the maximum piece cap will be increased, which could lead to some amazing detailed sets, especially for Bricklink
What Lego Ideas designs are your favourites?

@@TheDyslexicGeak Still an amazing set though.
@@LiamBrickedTheBed Oh absolutely, cant believe its retiring this year
Curious to see the botanical garden and also future sets
Yeah should get revealed very soon, very curious to see what Lego end up making🙂
@@TheDyslexicGeak yeah man. Ideas is my favourite theme as you vote for what you want
@@sampower1735 Certainly is one of my most collected themes that's for sure

these ideas set are really impressive, what's a guy to do, have a second career simply to fund Lego!

hide out in the swamp !!!! great but PIZZA in a swamp??
Haha only just noticed that, maybe its a nod to The Goonies film🙂
I vote for the wild west train station 🚉
Ahh well done, lets hope it reaches 10k votes and get selected by Lego🙏
Honestly, Lego ideas is washed compared to BDP. Are Lego really going to do anything as good as Adventures in Transylvania….absolutely not 😂
