    Here in Norway when they have the drills one can sometimes see these on the roads, truly amazing machines, the sound of the Leopard 2 makes my hair stand, best sounding vehicle on earth.

      And I, for one, can't stop thinking "please, god, don't put me into a situation where I have to fight these monsters (be they Leopards, T72, T90, Abrams, T14, Merkhava, Leclerc, Challenger or whatever else...)"! One of these can ruin your whole day (or life) as an infantryman.

    Greetings from the United States! I wish the U.S would look more into the Leopard 2! It truly is the best MBT in the world! Amazing Mobility, Armor and Firepower all in one package! I mean, our M1 has the shorter version of the Leopard's Rheinmetall 120mm! Countries that use the Leopard 2 are smart. I would take the Leopard 2 over the M1A2 any day!

      @nagmashot 7 лет назад +13

      sure it would the T-90 is just a renamed T-72 (T-72 BU).... the T-72 is the tank the Leo2 was designed to kill quick in masses

    • @Schallrausch
      @Schallrausch 7 лет назад +1

      T90 MS is a modern MBT.
      And T14 would eat Leopard 2 A7!

    • @nagmashot
      @nagmashot 7 лет назад +10

      a T90 MS is a 45year old design with tonns of upgrade to hold it little bit battle worth... its like a canadian Leopard 1 C2... a very old base tank with shitloads of upgrades
      The T-14 lacks the gun to eat a Leo2A7 ...till today the T-14 only carrys a updated stoneage old 125mm gun which is according to russian sources finaly on the quality level of the Rheinmetal 120L44...
      The Leo2 A7V the Bundeswehr has ordered (104 units) this year will be fitted with the best thermal view avaible in the world..it will be the first of all MBT´s with third generation thermal view... the new optics firecontroll will outclass the T-14 by miles... and with improved frontal protection
      ever wondered why russia updated the T-90 with western thermal view from frensh Thales company the Catherine-FC thermal sights...because they are MUCH better than anything they could produce themself.
      The T-14 is more or less a marketing gag so far...
      claimed to have 2000hp... reality 1500hp and that with a overcomplicated unreliable X12 engine, they were forced to reduce the poweroutput to 1500hp to get a minimum relaibilty out of the engine... they are only good for 1200hours running befor rebuild... after that time the engine of the Leo2 is run in and that is a old brick producing 1500hp since decades ... and that with rev limiter to keep the drivers from racing around... without limiter the Leo2 engine delivers far north of 2000hp..
      They claimed it could go 90km/h... the russian Army claim it can go 70km/h... with 1500hp and over 5
      they claimed the T-14 should have 152mm gun... not realy it has a 125mm gun ...even the russian realized that 152mm gun reduce the ammo load to a bad joke... btw there are several 140mm guns redy developt in the west if russians realy get a big step in protection... Swiss, Germany and USA have independently developt 140mm guns ... till today the USA does not even think to change to 120L55 because their latest ammo specialy build to deal with T-14 is still abel to do the job
      The Israel LAHAT ATGM which could be fired from Leo2 is equipped with jammer that strip down the active hard kill systems of the T-14 befor impact..
      overall the T-14 is hugely overengineered..
      X12 engine
      12spped transmission
      hey at least finaly the russian realized to mount engine and transmission into one pack...standart in the west since DECADES..
      at the moment the Afghanit active hard kill system cant cope with modern kenetic energy rounds... it is only able to deal with rounds flying up to 1700m/s´(russian claims) ... everything faster is to quick for the system to react.. means DM43A1, DM53, DM53A1 and DM63 are to fast for the T-14 hard kill system...
      So there is a big? what would happen if they meat... The one who see the other first will be most likely the winner... old tactic of the Bundeswehr, see first, shoot first, kill first

      There is a term used in Germany: "...in Frieden..." translates to "...in peace...". This generally means, there is more where this came from. Like with the speed of ~70km/h. I can assure you, it is well above that. But Germany only ever reveals numbers with the addendum "in Frieden". Same goes with the range.
