He has the "right to" remain silent. However, the police prefer the suspect talking. So they will push, convince, trick or guilt him into talking.
Of course he isn't. He's acting confused to get him to answer. It's his job dude what do you expect?

In a recent U.S. Supreme Court ruling, the Court held in a 5-4 decision that in order to invoke the right to remain silent, one must do so unambiguously. What this means is that simply being silent is not enough to invoke the right to remain silent. you have to verbally (or in writing or any other form of communication) say that you're using your right to be silent.

The most telling thing in the whole video is the transition from the second interview to the third. That second interview ended because the suspect asked for a lawyer. He should not have been questioned again with out one present. If he later refused a lawyer that should have been on camera as well.

Interestingly, I'm currently studying Game Design in college, and the Antihero discussion from the start of this is pretty clean and clear. He sums up the entire idea pretty well. Most of our discussion of the Antihero was based in Mythology though, so there are some parts that are slightly different, most of it's pretty spot on.

The leveraging information thing is actually very useful. If people make stories without all the information, they will steadily come up with stories with holes that will incriminate them or blatantly prove their lies which makes them panic.
Proving a whole story wrong, is a lot easier when you do it after completion rather than step by step.

I have been watching JCS from the very beginning, all of their videos are in depth and worth a watch

They made a fallow up video about this: apparently Jeff became clean soon after and now owns a RUclips channel
He didn't get "framed" on this one, but his parole officer got the report and added time to his parole. Jeff has his own YT channel and is now doing well.

I never understood why anyone talks to interrogators. It's quite literally the worst thing you can do. Even if you are innocent lmfao this guy is actually really smart though in choosing which questions to answer he a vet
He has a RUclips channel, and in one of the videos, he explains how cops have their own language and way of talking. Even if they are saying something verbatim, they can basically mean something extremely different and trap you, especially using terms to confuse people.
Listening to the description of an antihero confirms my suspicion that Jesse Pinkmans’ (Breaking Bad) character is an antihero. He shows glimpses of humanity throughout, and shows remorse while playing the part of a drug empire. His famous quote is “I know who I am in the story. The bad guy.” It made the audience defend him, to once again be on his side. Thanks a lot psychology! Haha Just wanted to share this observation. Thanks for the video!
