I don't think it was a "shot in the dark" like X said. DaBaby was aware of the process. In most cases, they wouldn't take you in for questioning without a warrant unless they had next to no evidence of you committing the crime. Them going from asking him his side of what happened to claiming they had undeniable proof of his crime is telling of these situations.

He kinda explained his point afterwards. The "shot in the dark" here would be in DaBaby's position and assume that no camera around would get a clear shot of him beating up that promoter and robbing his stuff, what xqc thought was that in todays day in age, you can safely assume that some place or someone, will have a recording device that can confirm your incrimination.
Yeah the statistics say that police only interrogate when they can't press charges because of insufficient proof, but to be there being interrogated and facing 15 years of jail and assume all of that it's a shot in the dark in my opinion aswell.

the reason it's smart is because if there WAS CLEAR FOOTAGE they wouldnt be interrogating him and instead charging him, as explained by Baby himself to the detectives
@@gipperbark as its seen in other videos, you can actually be interrogated regardless if they know you are guilty or have a footage, it is better to have more proofs and know his part of the story to compare it to previus evidence, understanding this, your ultimate resource will ever be calling a lawyer, the only real reason on why he was "smart" while they interrogated him was because he didnt admit nothing and said he doesnt have a reason to rob nobody, things that, in fact, a lawyer could have said better.

Say his story is real, its more than fair to assume the person you had a disagreement over ‘bad business’ is the person who lied about you assaulting them.
