I can't quite remember what I said but I'm assuming it's for identifying marks etc, so there is "The Broad Arrow mk2" by Ian Skennerton and you can buy the old army armourer's booklet for the rifle too.

But Sir, if you had to, how would remove the front Dog Ear Sight assembly from the rifle? It is the only way to remove the receiver band and the bayonet log off the barrel, correct??

Personally, I'd take it to a gunsmith. I'm sure it's just a matter of knocking pins through but mine don't want to budge so that's where I drew the line with my tinkering.

@@jabbott376 Update - I did take my action in and found some news for everyone...there is a small raised groove under the sight that keeps the Front sight from rolling left or right, and the small pin (seen under the sight block) fits in a channel between the groove that prevent the Front sight from moving forwards and backwards. So, in other words, if you pop out the small pin and tap it with a small block of soft wood forward towards the muzzle, the Front sight comes off Very Easily...and goes back on just as easily, so you cannot screw it up!!! I would send you pics if I could of my disassembly.

Hi, i have a question! Can i fire with pattern p 14 if it hasnt the bolt stop ?

I mean bolt lock like 11:12 on video

Bolt stop is the right terminology (this is why I should probably plan these videos 😅). Without having any firearms expertise - my opinion would be that the bolt stop isn't intended to secure the bolt during firing. The locking lugs on the bolt (and locking recesses around the chamber) are designed to hold the bolt in place during firing. At 50,000psi, if the locking lugs failed, I wouldn't expect the bolt stop to catch the bolt from being propelled out of the rear of the rifle anyway, so I don't think missing the bolt stop would make the rifle any less safe to fire than if it was present :).

Huh' the bolt on mine doesn't have a hole in it. Mine is a 1915.. Maybe they lightened up the bolt later? Mine is a Winchester, perhaps that is the difference too?

The action on mine is a Winchester. I know i've read about that bolt hole somewhere. I'll need to have a dig around - but i think you might be right about it being a lightening cut.
