Thank you! We definitely plan to do these for the foreseeable future for WizKids Pathfinder Battles and Icons of the Realms booster sets. We are trying to do retroactive coverage of older sets, though there's a few Pathfinder Battles ones we're having a lot of trouble tracking down. There are some non random releases coming up like the Icons of the Realms Waterdeep Statues that we may skip like we did with the Falling Star simply because we don't have storage space.
Mark Moreland from Paizo here. Great review, and thanks for the shout-out. Glad you liked the set and the subscription model. Keep up the great work, goblins!
Thanks so much for watching and for the positive feedback! Looking forward to diving more into Pathfinder this year. We have high hopes for 2e and future minis! -Theo
Glad to hear that it didn’t cost too much to get a case. Where I am in Newfoundland, Canada it’s very costly to get a case. Online is the only really option since only one LGS is willing to order them for customers. Last case I bought (Maze of Death) cost me close to $600. :( I’ve been collecting since the Aberration set but it’s getting quite expensive in the last 5+ years
Yikes! Is the extra cost import taxes/VAT? Seems like it might be worth a vacation across the border and pick up a bunch of minis at once! I apologize that I forgot to add a disclaimer about price differences and that the US gets a much better deal. I know Europeans also pay a lot more and get the releases often several weeks later, but I didn't realize it was such a big difference for Canada. -Grady
Great video, thanks a lot, I was thinking about getting this. Is it me or all of those minis needs one second hand at painting...at least half of them their faces says "please kill me" and they are undeads mostly...
Man, that Empyrean Angel is awesome! I liked the parallel between the minis and DnD, but i think is good to valorize other systems o/ Was there a case incentive for this set?
Gamarishi He’s wild isn’t he? That’s a very valid point. Hopefully the addition of how to adapt them to D&D comes across as just a value-add to the video and not a knock against Pathfinder. It’s mainly an issue of me barely having enough time to fully learn one system. :-P Though I may try to onboard myself to Pathfinder with 2e coming out this year. -Theo
Yeah I didn’t realize it was broken until people pointed it out. Thought the rocks were just supposed to be different sizes, haha. Was able to find the broken piece in the box and glue it back on! Thanks! -Grady
Yes. Currently there’s the 5 chromatic (red, green, blue, black, and red) and 5 metallic (gold, silver, bronze, copper, and brass). Later this year they’re reintroducing the gem dragons (amethyst, crystal, emerald, sapphire, and topaz) so I assume any remaining ones from earlier editions will come eventually but are not in right now. -Grady
Yes! The 4th rock broke off and I found it later in the box. It needs to be superglued back on. At the time of filming I thought maybe they were being cute and had the 4th rock just being really small, not remembering that they had released a render that showed it was supposed to be a full pillar. -Grady
Thanks for the information! Our lack of experience in Pathfinder makes these videos more difficult than the D&D ones. We'll update the video description with the additional information! We appreciate it! -Theo
A quick google search seems to indicate that mohrgs aren't officially published yet in D&D 5e (though there appears to be homebrew conversions), but they are very much a D&D monster (they were in the MM1 in 3rd edition).
Ah, interesting. Doing my research on them now. I appreciate the tip. They were also made a playable character class in an official supplement. Wild. -Theo
Yeah, there was a high desire by some to play really wild stuff. Vampires and Werewolves, etc., all got "player race" options in Savage Species and the 3.5 Monster Manual. Libris Mortis added how to play a Mohrg as a (somewhat) balanced PC race. As a 14 HD undead, it was treated as a 20th level character in power, but Libris Mortis broke that down as a 1-20 level "class" so you could play (a weakened version) at any level.
As someone who came in during 5e (two years ago to be exact) it’s fascinating to hear and read about what they did with prior editions. Just flipping through the old guides at the book store, I can see that they really had a wide variety of options for the players. I’m trying to imagine what role playing some of those creatures would be like for a full campaign. -Theo
Me at the start of the episode: "Boo! Grady go away! Bring Theo back! He has a better voi-huh. Grady isn't that bad. Alright, I'll stay and watch =)" Good job Grady, you put your own spin on it.
siddlicious Haha! Change is hard! We gotta keep you on your toes! :-P But yes, thanks for the positive feedback! We’re doing our best to keep the content coming with this big move. -Theo
@@TheGallantGoblin I honestly didn't have an issue with it. It just took me off-guard haha. I prefer Theo because he has that natural enthusiasm in his voice and his facial expressions are great.
Haha, thanks! I bring a bit of a theatre background and a complete lack of shame. Grady I think definitely brings the gravitas. We may start doing a few videos together as well. -Theo
...... No gobbies, WTF man? That's like the one thing IMO that they really got right with Pathfinder. This is a mixed bag for me, like most of the Pathfinder sets there are just way to many minis I will flat out never use. I'm glad you guys always try to give us potential ideas for how to use them but I have a better idea for Wizkids, make sets without the niche unusable trash. Yes goblins, orcs, and skeletons are done to death but there's a good reason for that it's because we use them in our games so much . I would love to see box sets called basic undead/ basic humanoid monsters, give us no hero figures and all basic usable monsters and I guarantee the idea will be Wizkids best selling line of all time
@@TheGallantGoblin I'll keep that in mind thanks! You guys really deserve a much higher sub count, your content is great and the fact you go the extra mile for your fans really shows! I'll probably get the TOA board game, those games are a gift from great Cthulhu to any DM that needs quality minis at a great price even if one never plays the games ( but they are to much fun to pass up and an awesome way to get newbies and kids into D&D).
Sort of, yes! That's how it arrived. The bottom of the crypt wall is flat/untextured and has the WizKids copyright printed on it, so the wall itself is positioned correctly in the video. I agree that the bodies should be flipped to lie face up but since they arrived face down, I decided to film them as they came out of the box. -Grady
I was extremely new to Pathfinder when I reviewed this set, so I apologize for the mistake. Thanks for pointing it out! I've learned in the ensuing years how deep the lore goes and I love it, but it definitely takes a long time to really be familiar with it! -Grady
Won't go anywhere else for mini reviews, the most thorough and comprehensive reviews available!
Hey, thanks, Cory! We appreciate it! -Theo
These are the best miniature reviews around! Thanks for the hard work!
Thanks for much for your kind words! Stay tuned for more! :-) -Theo
Amazing job on how you do your reviews. This is definitely my go to channel for miniatures from now on!
This video format is phenomenal. Keep doing these!

Most definitely the best mini reviews on RUclips.

well done, gentleman! excellent reviews and great quality video. the way you show the minis in detail on a turntable is brilliant!
Thank you, kind stranger. :-) It’ll look better when we get fully moved in and set up! -Theo
I love these vids best mini figure vids on all youtube ask around

CUTE KITTY IN THE BACKGROUND during the intro!!
Hehe, good eye, Cassie! I posted a little explanation and picture over on Instagram. instagram.com/p/Bx8Rvygh9tz/?igshid=1kxcxc3i94c3d
Missing a floating stone on the raven queen miniature

I see some Minis for the Mummy's Mask Module! This is gonna be good.
Good point! I missed that adventure path in my research but the set dressing and multiple of the minis could be used there as well! -Grady
No purple dragons in D&D? Did 5th ed do away with deep dragons? ( they were purple in 2nd ed AD&D).
Yes. Currently there’s the 5 chromatic (red, green, blue, black, and red) and 5 metallic (gold, silver, bronze, copper, and brass). @@TheGallantGoblin thanks for the info, I'm fixing to make the jump finally to 5th after all these years so it's good to know
Isn't Pharasma supposed to have 4 stone thingies, not 3?
Yes! The 4th rock broke off and I found it later in the box. It needs to be superglued back on. Murderous Undead 19/44 are obviously Mohrg
