Hi Kevin, what a beautiful garden and location you have, and with that back drop of those amazing spuces are just jaw dropping. How long have you been living there to create such beauty? uk.
About 14 years now. The spruce that you see surrounding the property were about 10-12 feet tall when I moved here, planted about 10 years prior. The Green Ash and Canada Red Chokecherry shown in the video were also established upon my arrival. Pretty much everything else you see, I planted over the years. Still a bit of a mystery to me how it all turned out so nice. Glad I don’t have to grab the shovel quite as much anymore though 😊. Glad you enjoyed it….fun to share. Cheers
I have most of the trees that you mentioned in this video, although they are bonsai trees. Just found this channel. Where abouts do you live? I am in zone 4, so these are very appropriate for me.
Nice property sir! How old is the Canadian cherry tree? The ones here in Detroit area never live longer than 20 years with black knot,,humid summers here.
About 20-25 years old. It’s less humid here so easier to keep it in check with pruning. I came across one earlier this summer that had a trunk 3 times the size of the one shown in the video; couldn’t believe it. I used to live in Minnesota with that higher humidity and remember how severe the black knot could be.
I have a small “brush box” for smaller branches where they slowly degrade. For larger branches, my city also has a collection site for trees/woody brush. They grind all the material into mulch that is re-sold to the community.
I love your space. Thanks for sharing how you keep up with everything. Soo peaceful! ❤
I love your property with all of the beautiful evergreen trees 🌲👍

Love your videos and enthusiasm around the yard! It was fun to see the before and after pruning! Thank you for sharing :)

What zone are you in?
Zone 4
What do you do with all the branches you cut off?
I have a small “brush box” for smaller branches where they slowly degrade. For larger branches, my city also has a collection site for trees/woody brush. They grind all the material into mulch that is re-sold to the community.
