Hey. Like your review. It’s quite funny to search internet because when you type NAS you get music videos. 😅 anyway that qnap is quite a discovery for me. It’s good I found your video. It raises my expectations from NAS.
It seriously looks like he barely got 2.5 GBe speeds while on 10 GBE, and 1 GBE speeds when supposedly testing 2.5 GBE. Testing large files is the best way to test to show faster speeds; so I typically use ISO files, like Windows ISO's ( about 5 to 6 Gigabytes ). Been playing with the CM3588 NAS KIT from Amazon, and it routinely transfers at 2.5 GBE speeds- or about 260 MB/sec ; when a $215 device gets the same performance as a $1500 device.... Reality is- if he has a 10GBE system, he should plug it in using the 10GBE connection, and transfer everywhere with 10GBE going to the QNAP device; I think he screwed something up; like a managed switch that has incorrect settings on it, or something...
I got these "MTFDKBZ3T8TFR-1BC1ZABYY Data Center 7450 PRO" from QNAP compatibility list but can't seems to fit in the casing. I tried both ways with adapter and removing but the Micron 7450 SSD doesn't align. DO you know if theres anyway i can install these.
Bro I don't know if you ever had math but what you're showing here are connections at 1 gigabit speed. I reach the same speed with my old NAS with no cache enabled and normal HDDs 😂 I'd suggest to check whether you're using the right cable and if you're using a switch which is capable of doing 2.5/10 gigabit speeds. Also check your computer's network card. You should get around 350 mb/s on 2.5 GbE and 1200 mb/s on 10 GbE.

You probably tested the speed over 1Gb ethernet cable or connection that's why you didn't get 2.5Gb speeds or 10Gb speeds.

It seems like it would be a headache considering how SSDs work.
wonderful
