- Got a 1971 Dodge Coronet Custom sedan with a big block 383 from a friend who purchased it from the original owner. Going to sell it to another friend who really really wants it. Decided to shoot a video on the car while it's here.

I got a '76 Valiant from the original owner on the Tulalip Rez; it was parked when the heater core let loose & the radiator was weeping at the upper tank in the late 1980's. I had to promise not to cut it up or flip it, which I have honored- I took it from Seattle to NC when I sold off & escaped the nuttiness that is the Seattle area. Probably helped I'm Choctaw/Chickasaw, too, 😆
Today it has 88k miles. It has 12" rotors, full 340/A38 suspension, mild modifications to make it tighter, KYB shocks, cop car wheels with 60-series blackwall Bridgestones, dual exhaust, Edelbrock intake & 650 cfm carb (318 for now), Comp Cam whose power band is 1,800-5,800.
It will be running in a TDS event in January from Atlanta to Texas
Very cool car. I am now looking for a 1971 -1972 Dodge Coronet sedan and Plymouth Satellite sedan to have both models to drive.
Mike, that is a nice car. She took great care of it . That pry bar is for the hub caps.
Yeah, it’s getting harder and harder to find these old cars in this sort of original condition. It’s funnier to say the pry bar is for popping trunks.
@@MikeFrankovich of course it’s funnier!😆
Nice car Mike! My dad had a 72 Crestwood wagon that had the 400 in it. It would move quite well with the low compression 2bbl 400.
One of my oldest friends has this car now. He's been driving it.
this model (318) was our high school driver's ed car; five dudes, plus the PE coach driving around Huntsville, Alabama. LOVE your truck tour...breaking and entering, tagging...lol
Very nice survivor. Sand the roof down and paint it white, that would be period correct.
Me gusta el carro un Dodge Coronet 1971; es uno de mis favoritos; saludos.
Love the old Cornet…if your friend does not buy it I’d welcome the chance to give it a new home. 1 owner rot free Cali car with a 383 and AC. Mike what would something like that sell for in your area?

Cool ride to have as your first car
Man I love it sell it to me!!!
Thanks, oddly interesting.. *& nice car to rebuild, etc. my first New Car purchase ( after College)was a **Coronet 2DR/500/1970** loaded , with the 383 TURQUIOSE/DUAL SNORKEL , which I had to switch to ELECTRONIC IGN, GOOD SHOCKS, ETC…I did like that 1970 Looks, better, especially SPECIAL SUPER BEE/ RT, MODELS, ETC. ..INTERESTINGLY, I BADELG GOT 16 years out of that Dodge before Northern Indiana salt ate it all,up, etc….
