Justin Thomas is incredible, making the playoff from 7 strokes back starting the final round, during a week that he was struggling with his golf swing and over-analysing, going on to win the second major of his career. That is something special, extraordinary player.
He was 8 strokes back with only 11 holes left in his round.
You are correct 7 strokes back at the start is all that matters for the record books. Ignore the bozos that don’t understand the game of golf. Cheers!!

JT! One thing he did better than most players this week was play well out of the sand. A lot of players struggled with the unique bunkers this week but JT excelled.

The fact he has to stand up in the interview is yet another sign of why the Masters and the British Open is more prestigious. (You also have to stand up at the US Open which a sign why it is the 3rd most prestigious.)

I was in a tournament yesterday, and WE CHECKED the scores... and I SAW J.T on 18 and just the NUMBERS... and I SAID... IF HE MAKES BIRDIE he wins. AND IF HE DOESN"T SHANK IT HE WINS!!! BUT everyone said OH PIERRA only has 2 holes left... AND I SAID LOOK AT HIS SCORE... LOOK WHERE HE STARTED the DAY, and LOOK AT HOW MANY TIMES HE"S BEEN HERE!! I guaranteed HE WOULDN"T EVEN BE IN THE PLAYOFF... I TOLD THEM, I"D BET MY HOUSE ON IT if I HAD ONE!

This is a win for experience and having no major weaknesses. Mito just had the pressure get to him all day. He made 5 bogeys leading up to 18. Zalatoris might be the worst putter that's ever played on Tour. He needs to break his putter and start over completely. I've never seen such a bad stroke. JT didn't let the pressure get to him and has no major weaknesses.
Imagine that putting stroke going to a playoff in a major, let alone his insane major contention record. That’s how good Z is. He’s young, I hope he gets it figured out because the kid is an absolute DOG in the big ones
