I was served a subpoena for something I know nothing about. I was told two different things. A package of mine was stolen and then I was told someone was found with documents that belong to me. I’m assuming someone went through the trash bin where I live and took mail I had tossed. I never witnessed anything. I’m very irritated because I have several medical issues and I cannot go to court and I have no way there either. I’ve asked the DA if I can sign a paper or possibly do virtual court or something. I get ignored. I’ve told him I will not be there due to my health issues and no way to get there. What do I do? I’m upfront with him and he says nothing. I’m scared to go to jail, but I’m kinda stuck. I have terrible anxiety and IBS and need to be near a restroom at all times. I have back pain and cannot walk far or stand for more than a few minutes. I’m unable to go to court. Will I go to jail even though I told the DA all this? I never witnessed anything either.
UPDATE: DA ignored me and I never showed up. I did not go to jail either.

Very similar situation for me. They came to my home and delivered it to my hand. After I refused to testify for something I knew nothing about

Same, my mom is a victim (she has schizophrenia also diabetes). I have an older brother with bad schizophrenia and she kicked him out the house like two years ago for being violent and refusing to get treatments, he keeps trying to come back and break in. We went to court several times when summoned about his arrest. The DA said they've settled for an agreement to send my brother to a mental hospital and we don't have to come back up there again, that we were free to leave. But two days later, we get two copied subpoena letters in the mail about appearing in court, that same week...which we'd missed?.. like wtf?!

The law isn't very friendly to minorities either. Left that part out

They are friendly to minorities. Only the dangerous ones need to worry.
