One other thing is make sure the snorkel is well sealed. The factory snorkel only butts up against the inner guard with a flange, the same as the airbox does on the inside. From the factory they are generally not watertight.
That's a very good suggestion, might put that one the list. Could be handy to attach things to as well. Funny you mentioned the snorkel, it was one of the first things I did when I got the car and I'm glad I did. Couldnt believe how poorly it was sealed up!
Thanks Jason, I might have to make a separate video on how I did it. In the meantime if you want some more info feel free to shoot me a dm on my Instagram @adventure0n and I can send you through some closer up photos
Nice - I would definitely agree with the post below about investing in a cargo barrier - lot's of things in the back that could kill you in an accident that you would otherwise survive!! I'm also not too keen on having a gas bottle inside the cabin (maybe something to consider if you get a rear bar??) and I'm pretty sure that if you do transport them inside the car that you are supposed to have a plastic cap fitted (might be worth checking). One suggestion for your solar panel - maybe think about making a permanent connection to the battery and then running it to an Anderson Plug and mounting it on or behind the bull bar (maybe through a circuit breaker or switch so you can disable it) - this would allow you to connect the solar panel without popping the bonnet and would also give you an Anderson Plug outlet that you could use for compressor, spotlight, etc. Keep up the good work!!!!
@@AdventureONTV did you change your diff centre to run 35s? If so to what 4.3 or 4.6 or are you still running the standard 3.9? I was thinking about running 35s but can't justify the cost of changing diff ratios, paying more for tyres, more weight when 33s on 2 inch lift gets me everywhere I need to go otherwise the winch gets a workout
My car was originally an RD28 before I swapped in the TD42 so it has 4.6s. I'd say 4.3 is more ideal for 35s but it still goes fine and gets good fuel economy.
Who’s a clever boy then? Love the solar panel setup!! 👍
Looks good Mate, but I urge you to get a cargo barrier behind the front seats. I a crash all that stuff in the back will do you some serious damage.

Great rig! Can you show how you set the solar panel up to slide out?

Nice simple set up. That's what you want for easy overnighters or just for convenience sake 👍
Yep, love being able to throw a couple of tubs in the car and just go!
So simple and basic. Some.peeps get caught up so much in modding and needing things. Well done
Cheers Gavin, couldn't agree more
Nice setup. I like how you stashed the solar panel away.
Thanks Anthony!
Great stuff mate, set up looking good.....
Cheers Boyd!
i love you're set up..
now i've got an idea
Alus pisan euy jadi kabita ningalina 👍
Nice setup man. Would definitely be getting a jack though. And even a winch depending on what sort of terrain you tackle
good set up, the gas bottle inside may not be legal in most states, mate
Hi, nice patrol! Can you tell me what rims and tires set up do you use? Thanks from a chilean Patrol driver !
Aha hell yes, thanks mate! Rims are 16x8 and the tyres are 315/75r16
@@AdventureONTV offset? Thanks!!!
