Chapman South is more spacious and suitable for larger RV's.
Both sections have some campsites along the river
*Note* - There is a 2nd Chapman Reservoir in Colorado west of Yampa with a campground known as "Chapman Reservoir Campground". Be aware of this when making reservations or getting directions.

Thanks for doing this video series. It's so difficult to get visual information on USDA campgrounds. When pulling a trailer to a new camp destination, you never really know if it's going to be appropriate for your rig. You are really rolling the dice on the campsites you are going to visit. Also, if reserving a site in an area you have never been, it's really helpful to be able to see it ahead of time. I look forward to the ever expanding video collection.

Exactly why we began including campgrounds when we first started on RUclips. We had a trip that included a campground that we loved and another one that wasn't so good. It was hard to figure out what you would get. Most of the review sites just copy and paste the USFS description. Even when the info is wrong. At some point we decided to record all of them in Colorado. Just passed 200 campgrounds last month. Best guess is we have at least another 250 to go and that doesn't include state parks.

I love the new format, the cut away to show the camp sites. I know you can't show all of them because some have campers. Thank You !!!

It helped that there were so many empty sites. We are going to run 2 cameras next year. Always improving.

New to Colorado and recently found your channel. This is SO helpful! I was a tent camper in Michigan and knew my favorite campgrounds and sites but felt overwhelmed when I got here. Thanks for making my summer more beautiful!

I want to say a BIG yee-haw on the new format. In agreement with what another person said about showing the view of the campsites. Audio is sounding great.

What an absolutely beautiful campground! The vegetation is so green and lush. For such a large campground the sites are not all bunched together. There is plenty of space between sites. Thanks for such great coverage of this campground!

Plenty of space and lots of empty sites in the middle of July. It was nice to camp here after spending the previous week at a very crowded Turquoise Lake.

@@CampgroundRecon I did!! We spent a night at the site 64. I finally found my perfect camping spot in Colorado. I had to go camping to Oregon before, because I like large camping sites, private with lots of trees and foliage around, and river close enough to hear it. I am so happy I have something now that fits my tastes here in the state. Pawnee campground (walking in sites) is in my favorites too, but it is super popular and their season is very short. Site 64 at Chapman is my #1 from now. Thanks again!
