I'm not sure why folks like to cluster together too, maybe they feel like there's safety in numbers. Some of us I think are built different and absolutely love the solitude and being self sufficient; nothing against anyone some just love to be left alone because they enjoy their our own company (i'm probably in this bracket too) LOL. Thank you for taking us along sir !!!
From Nebraska and I like that you gave us a shot. People always give us a hard time about our state being BORING... always say, you HAVE to get off Interstate and take routes like you are doing here. We have a cabin at Lake Mcconaughy in western Nebraska and I absolutely know the smell you are talking about.... I did a little research and the the University of Nebraska told me its a blend of several wildflowers and wild sage out of all things... I love it.
Thinking of the smell brings me right back there. It was like no other. That was some beautiful land and I'll definitely be back. Thanks for checking out the video!
I don’t know Black Hills are beautiful, and Sturgis is a cool town if you get there, And out of there before the bike rally starts. Was there last year the week before rally had a great time.
My wife retires at the end of '23. Hoping to talk her into traveling. If not, see ya when I see ya honey! Haha it might end up being me and my best friend Roxy, my choc. Lab. I have an old 01 Dodge dually Cummins 4x4 that I'm upgrading and want to put a flatbed model camper on. Waiting to see what the King star model will be. Also looking at the Alaskan model for lower clearance and there is a company in Jersey , New Jersey outdoor adventures I think, they are designing a flatbed model. Their's are called Beach Roamers.
Been watching your videos for awhile now…but only just saw your one on Chadron State Park. Took a cross country trip with my wife back in 2017. Stayed at Chadron SP…pretty much in the same section of the park as you cause we like being by ourselves too! Ha ha! You had me smiling and reminiscing while watching. Thanks. Keep up the great content.
I love Nebraska! There is so much to see and learn. The beauty is breathtaking. Chadron State Park is amazing and so is Niobrara State Park in the northeast section of the state on the Missouri River! My Mother's ancestrsl home. My ancestors came from Germany prior to the civil war and 22 family members crosed the country in two prairie schooners to settle in Nebraska! Thank you for this wonderful video Kenny. Be well, be safe and be happy. ☮️💜😊
A lot of people can't be alone - makes them uncomfortable. I'm the opposite - after working and talking with people all week, I want to be away from them. Great channel, am enjoying watching all your past episodes.
So happy that you put up another episode, Kenny! Laundry, food shopping, regulat campground...Wow- the things we'll do for normalcy. And NO- I have no idea why everyone parks side by side when there's a WHOLE campground to choose from? Those seem like foothills, Kenny- foothills to what? Much cooler than I thought- the initial ride in is more of what I expected....
Episode 20!!!! Who knew, Kenny! That's HUGE!!! I was hoping you'd get to say 14, but- here you are with 20 in the bag- and every one is better than the last! Honestly, I prolly would've skipped Nebraska- and look at what I would've missed!!! Good On YOU, brother! What an awesome State Park- lots of amernities (most I wouldn't use, but: gun range & archery range with caution!) dump my tanks, and did I here you say hookups? Wow and beautiful to boot. Thank for taking us along- it's appreciated.
I agree, I did not think I would see 20 videos. The good news is that I don't plan on stopping anytime soon. There are times I wish I had more subscribers......but that just an ego thing.....I started the videos for Mandi and the kids, but have picked up some really cool subscribers along the way, that's all that matters. In the next few videos you will get to meet my youngest daughter. She was a natural on the camera! I think you all will get a kick out of her. I'm debating on putting out two videos a week. Or maybe just a few bonus videos. The smaller one night trips I make when I go fishing and stuff. What do you think? And seeing how you were one of my first subscribers, what do you think about Tuesdays for the videos....I seem to get more views on Sundays rather then any other days.
I grew up in the Sandhills of Nebraska, that smell is like no other, it’s awesome! I appreciate how you genuinely enjoy the places you go and thank you for sharing!
I think that's a lot of it...and I noticed there's also a group of campers that love to socialize. It's like a retirement community. The good news is that they were all together which left the rear of the campground all to myself. It's all good!
Another great episode, Kenny! That state park looks like a great place. As soon as my wife saw the lake and you mentioned fishing, she was sold.! Haha We love to fish. Our new truck camper won’t get here soon enough! Safe travels and may God bless.
Thank you for doing this video. We just got a truck camper and want to explore Nebraska. Your video has inspired us to stay here in April. Thanks again
Really glad I discovered your channel. Great videos! Been contemplating doing this after retiring. You make it seem very appealing and peaceful. Keep up the great videos.
I really do love it. For the most part the travels have been care free. Some advice I wish I was told.... stay away from places like Yellowstone and other popular tourist destinations. I hope to be able to travel 365 days at some point. I miss the road when I'm back at home.
For sure! I was thinking about making that video today actually. As you see in my videos I take my camper places the manufacturer really never intended these campers to go. I've had the truck on two wheels with the camper in the back. It definitely takes a lot of maintenance. Any time you come up with a video suggestion please let me know!
Just got around to watching this one. Very nice. We are planning a trip and spots like this along the way are perfect. Cold in MN is going to break a bit soon.... Enjoy and take care. Look forward to Tuesday.
Love the sand hills of NE. If you’re ever headed through eastern Montana check out Makoshika state park, near Glendive just off I94. There are some boondock sites deeper into the park, away from the main campground.
You do such an amazing job. Clearly you are an artistic person and highly talented. Thank you for making these videos. Your editing is perfect and - you are the perfect ambassador for our park systems
I really should do more research on the places I visit....I bet I miss a lot! I have always been the type of person that just drives uninformed and hopes for the best......I should slow down a little and do some research. I randomly came across this park. I have been to hundreds of State and National Parks, this was one of the best! It had stuff for a guy like me that appreciates peaceful quiet scenery. And things for people with kids to enjoy, truly had it all. Such a cool Park and the National Forest was in biking distance. If I go back all make sure I check out the Museum. Thanks!!
Just found your channel few months ago, but love going back to watch old ones.. I love Nebraska, South Dakota and Wyoming, was there in 2018...in June, was gorgeous and fresh❤
Hey, Kenny got another for you since I live in Nebraska. Next time instead of going to Chadron state park check out Ft. Robinson linked again to another movie with Kevin Costner-" Dancing with Wolves". Towards the end of the movie to where the credits roll on the screen that valley, they are in the teepee's is Ft Robinson.
Loved your video!! Can't believe they all stayed on top of each other!! Gorgeous drone footage!! What kind do you have? We are new to it and have some drone footage on our videos on our channel!! Melissa from RV Rolling with MJ
I thought when you started in Wyoming and went through Lusk, you were going to Fort Robinson State Park! Chadron is good though! Chadron State Park, Indian Cave, and of course Fort Robinson are my favourite Nebraska State Parks. A few years back Great Adventure found a great boondocking spot outside Chadron.
That's what my plan initially was. I saw there was some public land just south of Chadron. I was hoping to find a dispersed campsite. That's when I came upon the state park. The temperatures were so hot that weekend. And I was really looking forward to running my air conditioner. Ending up there was such a delightful surprise.
Take note (pictures) of all plants (even the ones without visible blooms) Id later and plant them in your home garden/yard. You might even like to try out a nursery (state plant society) in that area for seeds. Or id and find online. Texas has many local options for regional plants mixes.

So true! I watched Dancing with Wolfs last week ( for the 27th time ). It amazes me how early settlers and indigenous people were able to thrive in those environments and handle the elements.
@A C That is the Rad Mini 4. It's an awesome bike. I recently started riding an Engwe Pro-2. It has been in most of my recent videos. It is also a great bike. The Rad feels more refined and smoother. The Engwe is about 800 bucks cheaper but is still a great bike at the 1000 dollar price point.
Kenny, I noticed in one of your Videos that you Paid $35 for A Campsite of the STATE. We are in SC. Would pay $35-$40 EXCEPT we got a State Pass Card, and that cut our Costs in HALF!!!
