I love how he almost instantly goes from screaming abuse at Jonah's fiance to politely escorting her to her car immediately after she dumps Jonah. He's just that happy about Jonah's misfortune.
“You’re as annoying as a condom full of fire ants” is my personal favorite and it lives rent-free in my head until the day I find a way to use it. My crotch hurts every time I think about that line 😂😂😂
Richard is my favorite side character (happy he got the best ending) but Uncle Jeff is probably second. The way he grabs the secret service agent while he's laughing in the cemetery gets me every time.
I loved Jonah’s wife Beth too! The way she just says “hi!” after furlong’s brutal insult kills me each time. Wish she had another season of screen time
Uncle Jeff stole every scene he was in. Watched this dozens of times, howl with laughter every time. His laugh, his facial expressions, everything works so well.
Quite possibly the only character in this show with the most vicious form of schadenfreude I have ever seen. He is THE most bold faced misanthrope to ever appear on screen.
Uncle Jeff is a demon... The devil sent him from hell to prop up more monsters in the halls of government... And he did it all with cheeky insults and an infectious laugh... Diabolical! Lol
Ohh man! So many sharp lines delivered to perfection. This is one of the reasons VEEP is absolutely top shelf television - every character is so well developed.. I have to say though Uncle Jeff and Congressman Furlong are my 2 guilty pleasures amongst what is a stellar cast.
Most of the insults hurled were improvised by the cast. They used to have contests as to who could get the most creative. Then after the take they would bust out laughing.
Damn I love Veep and he was one of my favorite characters. I wish there was an interaction with Uncle Jeff and Roger Furlong going at each other with vicious insults for 5 minutes. Would have been television history
That actor,Peter MacNicol, plays the best horrible douchebag! And he played a slithering creep extraordinaire in Ghostbuster II, Dr. Janosz Poha. Good work, Mr. MacNicol!
I love uncle Jeff so much, sometimes I wish I had one like him to put me straight :) :) :) plus "I will give them 5 minutes and then hit them with bad cop :) :) :) )
With the latest Mark Robinson realizations in North Carolina, this is all I can think about. The whole thing's so absurd, I can't help laughing like Uncle Jeff!
Holy shit there's so much of his portrayal of the Batman villain The Mad Hatter in his role as Uncle Jeff in this show. Except Mad Hatter is pitiful and oddly sympathetic, while Uncle Jeff is just racist and evil.
The hospital scene made me immediately dive into this series Holy mother of God I loose it everytime seeing this scene 😂😂 this and the Thanksgiving dinner scene from who made the potatoe salad ? Make me loose it every time never gets tired
I think because he is a pretty arrogant imbecile whose only merits in politics were that his family was well connected. Notably, Uncle Jeff provided him with most of his influence. Jonah is the only family member with big political aspirations, so uncle Jeff is completely disgusted.
Two reasons: 1.) everyone on this show is unimaginably rude 2.) he’s been dealing with Jonah (the rudest, most repulsive character) for 30 plus years 🤷♂️
He would make an excellent Rudy Guiliani.
Lol yeah but with credibility
rudy isn't from nh
He does look like him kinda sounds like him
I'm pretty certain he is Rudy and Selena is Hillary
@@lowkeylokii4205 no. hillary would not oppose gay marriage in the given time period.
I love how Uncle Jeff doesn't use any profanity while still absolutely tearing Jonah a new one in the elementary school.
1:03 -- my favorite part.
But in a way you can almost tell what he wanted to say!! Great writing
“For shitting the urinal so bad you made the Hindenburg look like a normal, on-time blimp landing” is beyond epic comedic writing.
It’s nuts how much the ‘on time’ takes it from an ok joke to absolute genius.
@@jr5925 How was it ''on time'' when it was built on comparison to the disaster that happened almost 100 years ago?
@@yevgeniyaleshchenko849 Do you not get the joke?
I love how he almost instantly goes from screaming abuse at Jonah's fiance to politely escorting her to her car immediately after she dumps Jonah. He's just that happy about Jonah's misfortune.
"I thought you told my mother to sell me to a child molester and use the money to have her tubes tied."
Most brutal insult every.
EH we're family!
I still can’t believe they never had a scene with Uncle Jeff and Roger Furling together.
Omg. Could you imagine? 😂
It’s a crime that there wasn’t
It would've been too much for us to handle, like gazing upon a Lovecraftian god
It’s the death of a star. We aren’t ready yet
Oh my god.. that would've been an all-timer..
I'M SO GLAD I CAME IN PERSON AND DIDN'T CALL!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Man, Richard’s right. His laughter really is infectious.
He must be part Hyena.
but the fact that he chose to use that term at the funeral of a guy who died from a contagious disease seems to go over some viewers' heads
"Sentient enema" is a god level insult.
epileptic Picasso painting wins best insult of all time
“You’re as annoying as a condom full of fire ants” is my personal favorite and it lives rent-free in my head until the day I find a way to use it. My crotch hurts every time I think about that line 😂😂😂
No one in all of history has ever said "SHUT THE FUCK UP" with such power and venom as Uncle Jeff
"People are going to be so grateful I'm going to look like a disability check wrapped around unfiltered cigarettes." **SPITS OUT DRINK**
Wish she had another season of screen time
Mine is always Rodger furlong then Jeff 😂
Richard and Catherine got the best ending
Uncle Jeff stole every scene he was in. Watched this dozens of times, howl with laughter every time. His laugh, his facial expressions, everything works so well.
This man is quite possibly the funniest fictional character, up there with Walter from Lebowski. His "shut the fuck up"s are legendary.
Malcom Tucker is all illl say
The hospital scene with Jonah, and his very-soon-to-be-ex-fiance, is a masterpiece! He came out firing on all cylinders!
"I always had you pegged as an AIDS guy." Absolute Gold!!!
Uncle Jeff needs his own show. Period.
No one in the whole world can say STFU like Uncle Jeff
“No…wishes belong at the bottom of a well with unwanted girl children…”
HBO has to get his own show "the uncle Jeff show" that be so wonderful
Quite possibly the only character in this show with the most vicious form of schadenfreude I have ever seen. He is THE most bold faced misanthrope to ever appear on screen.
Jeff Cane is like, a comedic
character written by HP Lovecraft.
Uncle Jeff is a demon... The devil sent him from hell to prop up more monsters in the halls of government... And he did it all with cheeky insults and an infectious laugh... Diabolical! Lol
"Thanks Jeff, see you in church on Sunday."
There needed to be more Uncle Jeff in the show. He should have been apart of the main cast.
“I’ll give em five mins then hit em with bad cop..”😂😂😂😂😂😂
The range of this actor is amazing.
From John Cage on ally mcbeal to uncle Jeff 😂
And Janosz from Ghostbusters 2.
Quite the trifecta.😂
Omg he came to my restaurant and he’s my very first celebrity encounter, I couldn’t have had a better one and he couldn’t be nicer
Sometimes Jeff Kanes rage can be so extreme at times
Just a touch

The Jewish word that he can't remember had me on the floor!!
Fun fact - Peter MacNicol voiced Doctor Octopus on the Spectacular Spider-Man show. Imagine Doctor Octopus yelling these lines…
I did not know this! Kinda cool. He was also the voice of the Mad Hatter in the Arkham games.
Uncle Jeff was my favorite character. Among a cast of horrible, nasty, cruel characters he was the cruelest. He could go so cruel and so quickly.
every second in the hospital scene is just gold
I just keep going to around 3:00 to enjoy the beauty of Peter MacNicol's laugh.
This is a masterpiece.. I'm so glad he came in person and didn't called..
It’s the laugh. The best laugh on screen 🫣🫢😂
2:30 "Creature from the jizz lagoon" definitely using that shit..lmao
How much fun must Peter MacNicol be having doing multiple takes of these lines?
The hospital scene is some of the best comedic acting of all time !!!
Peter Macnicol has the Greatest Joker laugh in human history
"[...]he gets to be the easier person, and I have to be me." Is possibly the greatest self own in history.
Came at a perfect time, I just finished Veep
I’m just bout to start
Damn I love Veep and he was one of my favorite characters. I wish there was an interaction with Uncle Jeff and Roger Furlong going at each other with vicious insults for 5 minutes. Would have been television history
That is one hell of a good cop at the end
Lol! - "... human pool skimmer used to clean the spunk after a Provincetown gay hot tub party"
Brilliant Writing, Amazing Cast!
Uncle Jeff is the OG.
That actor,Peter MacNicol, plays the best horrible douchebag! And he played a slithering creep extraordinaire in Ghostbuster II, Dr. Janosz Poha. Good work, Mr. MacNicol!
He has the greatest laugh ever.
Schadenfreude personified
I have never seen this show, but now I clearly need to for this man 😂
1:43 he’s trying so hard not to laugh
"He puts the 'Jew' in 'Why people hate Jews'"
Idk if you even think to write that
Uncle Jeff is a goddamn legend.
1:48 I was...not expecting a man to be capable of producing sounds like that
His laugh!!!! Man I miss this show!
Peter MacNicol playing both Larry Fleinhardt and Uncle Jeff is range on a superhero level.
"You pileptic picasso paintings!" oh man that right there is an insult! XD
I love uncle Jeff so much, sometimes I wish I had one like him to put me straight :) :) :) plus "I will give them 5 minutes and then hit them with bad cop :) :) :) )
5:03 - This line is *GOLD* ! 😂🤣
Love him smacking the casket
I also pegged that as the best one
I have to watch this show. The writing is insane.
“I can’t breathe” 🤣🤣🤣
he looked genuinely concerned 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I love the way he tells Jonah to shut up 😂😂😂 and I love uncle Jeff his laugh truly is infectious❤❤❤❤
"I'll give him 5 minutes and hit him with the "bad" guy....lol
Jeff: the uncle Jonah deserves.
This guy and Malcolm Tucker. OMG.
This guy would be a great Mad Hatter :)
“Thanks Jeff, I’ll see you in church on Sunday”

"HEY! This is an elementary school…" 😂🤣🤣
One of the funniest scenes and grossest boasts ever.
The writing is so fucking good! Armando Lannucci is a genius hahaha
Holy shit there's so much of his portrayal of the Batman villain The Mad Hatter in his role as Uncle Jeff in this show.

Is he really racist? I actually didn't notice lol
Peter never disappoints …..
FORTY PIECE SET OF DANISH CUTLERY
Spoiler alert
0:26 When he gets angry that always gets me 🤣
Most vicious man ever
“Who puts the jew in why people hate Jews” that’s so wrong🤣🤣🤣
The school scene is pure gold!
The people of New Hampshire are gonna be so grateful to me, I’m gonna be a disability check wrapped around a pack of no filter cigarettes
The elementary school scene caught me so completely off guard.
Hard to believe that Uncle Jeff and the Mad Hatter are the same person.
Can you imagine. Jeff Kane & Logan Roy in the same room. They would make The Devil weep🤣🤣🤣🤣
The hospital scene made me immediately dive into this series Holy mother of God I loose it everytime seeing this scene 😂😂 this and the Thanksgiving dinner scene from who made the potatoe salad ? Make me loose it every time never gets tired
The best 6 minutes in television.
He’s like if a beardless, utterly profane and mean spirited Papa Smurf came to life.
I hate that we never got to see cousin Ezra
My favourite laugh ever
fucking hilarious. I love his sudden creulty xD
Beautiful stuff!
peter macnicol is a treasure
1:45 is still my favorite quote of his.
He has the best laugh
Wish they did a thick of it crossover just so jeff could meet tucker
1:01 makes me scream laughing every time.
Jeff Kane, "Does Blondie (Amy) choke for coke?" Dan, "You should ask her!" Gosh, I wish that scene was shown! haha
Jeff Kane has a extremely short temper
❤ was Jeff Kane strict or uptight on veep
How did Uncle Jeff not win a Grammy ???
I didn't know he was a singer.
Was there a main reason Uncle Jeff was always so rude to Jonah Ryan just asking
I think because he is a pretty arrogant imbecile whose only merits in politics were that his family was well connected. Notably, Uncle Jeff provided him with most of his influence. Jonah is the only family member with big political aspirations, so uncle Jeff is completely disgusted.

Uncle Jeff never cared about Jonah. He just wanted more power. He was hysterical.
What does Uncle Jeff say to Amy at the funeral - "Here is my hotel room key..." and then?
“If you got a dick I’ll pay double” lmao
"......if you have a dick, I'll pay double".
you got a dick i’ll pay double.
"If you've got a dick I'll pay double"
How bad can Jeff Kanes rage be real extreme or very extreme
