I like my blue Pro Diver. I like the counter-balance on the second hand. When I wear the watch, I can't see the engraving on the side of the case. When it is in my watch box, I can't see the engraving either. What I can see, and feel, is a remarkable watch with Seiko innards, a sturdy exhibition case and bracelet, that keeps good time, and was very inexpensive. I never mistook it for what it isn't and I am totally happy with what I got. Thank you for sharing your box opening experience!
@@Ferien7 I think the three best affordable dive watches are the Casio Duro (quartz), Orient Ray II and the Invicta 8926ob. I reach for the Invicta the most. The answer is yes.
I’ve had the blue Invicta 9094OB for some months and I’m extremely happy with it and the winged counterbalance on the second hand and the engraved “Invicta” on the side of the case doesn’t bother me at all. Most reviews of this watch on RUclips show the two aforementioned details under high magnification which makes them look a bit of an eyesore which may put some people off buying it. In reality, the lettering on the name “Invicta” is only a fraction over 2mm tall and as it’s on the side of the case, I tend to forget it’s there and don’t really notice it. Also, the winged counterbalance on the second hand, which I quite like really is so tiny, I don’t notice it because my eyes naturally fall on the business end of the second hand. I have no doubt that had it been Rolex or another high end watch company that had come up with the winged counterbalance, it would be regarded as a thing of beauty, but as the name Invicta is hated by some because of a few rather gaudy watches, the winged counterbalance gets unfairly maligned. My Invicta runs a few seconds fast a day which I’m happy with so every few weeks I will stop the watch and then restart it at the correct time. If another Invicta watch grabbed my interest, I would quite happily buy one again, they look great on a Classic Bond NATO strap.
i own 4 Invicta pro diver automatic watches in different colors and I absolutely love them. I have had mine for years and have never had a problem with them👍
I just got an Invicta Pro Diver 9094OB last week and I just really really love it. Very well made and uses a very nice Seiko movement (which is very well-regulated: +1 second over a period of 100 hours!). The box resembles a typical Rolex box but here it's clear Invicta had to find the cheapest contract manufacturer in China to make those yellow boxes: the edges don't line up well, the stitching is off in various places, the cushion inside is a joke... It's quite amusing really, and it may be strange to say this but I actually appreciate the box quite a lot. For $85 and the level of quality the watch actually features, we should be thankful Invicta even includes a box. Overall I can't ask for a nicer Rolex homage at this price point. The Pro Diver truly punches way way way above its weight. 1% the price of a real Submariner but the quality is astounding. Is it at the level of a real Rolex? Of course not, not even close, but it looks and feels way more than $85. I think it's more like a $300 watch. And at that level of quality you really can't complain anymore unless you're a bit of a watch snob.
Just goes to show you can't always rely on the opinion of others Guy. In comparison with your SKX the Invicta offers handwinding/hacking, applied indicies, signed crown, exhibition case back and IMHO a better bracelet and finer finish overall whilst being considerably cheaper. I suspect the stigma attached to the brand may have resulted from their larger ranges which are indeed not to every man's taste.
I'm glad I picked it up and had a chance to evaluate it myself, first hand. It's definitely much nicer than I had expected based on what I've heard. The engraving on the side of the case is a disappointment, but it does seem to be a really nice entry level automatic diver.
sorry but the bracelet on the invicta is shit. the seiko jubilee looks way better and is more comfortable. Also the quality of the case and bezel is thousand times ahead on the skx. You also have an extremely reliable in house movement and an original design. The invicta is another sub knockoff. The lume on the seiko is also way better.
The SKX has a much more solid feel to it. Yes the SKX bracelet sucks, but the watch itself doesn't feel cheap like the Invicta does. I would not trust the Invicta water resistance claims.
""I would not trust the Invicta water resistance claims" ... upon what basis is this assertion made? Prejudice, hunch, empirical evidence? Invicta is a large company and are held to observing strict standards of lawful conduct than certain microbrands I could name. As for the 'feel' of the Invicta vs SKX the reviewers impressions are entirely accurate.
The basis for that statement is from me owning this exact watch for over 5 years. There is nothing wrong with it as a beater watch. However, it feels very cheap. I don't doubt it's water resistance in shallow waters like for swimming, but based off feel alone I highly doubt it would last at true 100+ meter pressures.
Esta bonito ese reloj invicta prodiver 8926ob es un verdadero homenaje, invicta inspiro a otras marcas a hacer homenajes, Yo lo tengo es un excelente reloj, esta bien echo por lo que cuesta excelente contenido saludos...!
I'm sick of people bashing Invicta's. I have at least 10 in my collection. I'm had them for many years and have NEVER had any problems with any of them. Although they are cheaper movements on some, they are very beautiful and classy and you get more watch for the price than alot of other brands. Of course this one is not a Rolex, but we can't all afford one. It's an excellent watch for the price and is worth at least 3 times what he paid for it. I think the counter balance symbol on the second hand is classy. People just don't like it because it's associated with the connotation of Invicta's. I wear all of mine all of the time and I am proud of them.
You are never going to get this watch again for $49 again... now it's 2021 so it is $80 to $85 Biden American Pesos. But still a good deal compared to other watches.
I like the logo on the side, and if Seiko or other brand had it like that no one would make a fuzz over it. I think all started by one person talking about it, and then everyone just follow. I own the same watch and very happy with it. Accurate and beautiful for what I paid.
I have the all gold version of this and I just ADORE it despite the counterweight and the side engraving! You get no complaints from me!If you don’t want this sell it to me!
I think your complaints about the Invicta logos on the case and on the second hand were way too dramatic. Both are design elements that make this watch LESS generic or replica looking. No doubt it's a straight up Sub homage, but they're not trying hide who makes it. Nothing more entertaining by the way, to hear another would-be watch snob trying choke back their surprise and amazement when they finally realize what a terrific watch the 8926s are! Just say it out loud--you'll feel better! Yes, most of their watches look like Christmas trees in heat, but not the 8926. I've owned a first generation (no display back) for more than 10 years now and still looks and works great. Find me another Diver with these features (especially winding and hacking) at this price and I'll buy that one too. My only complaint is that by today's standards it's a little smaller than I prefer and the lug/strap dimension is only 20mm. That said, it still wears quite nicely.
Well said Ray. I recently purchased the 8926 and I've been wearing it daily for the past month. Excellent watch, which I enjoy very much. I don't care about the yellow box, it came in a lot of reviewers focus on it for some reason. I like the counterweight on the second hand, I think it gives the watch it's own character, and the engraving on the side of the case is not an issue for me. What I like is knowing that I got a fantastic watch for a very affordable price. In fact, I am about to order the blue version as soon as it goes on sale this Black Friday.
no its not but they got sued after this model was sold OB original bezel or old bezel the newer model didn't have it. Rolex sued them and in the lawsuit they weren't allowed to use a coin edge bezel and whatever models they r still selling with a coin edge bezel they had to pay royalties to rolex for each watch they sold
Great video. I have an original pro diver ( first run) that I have had for nearly 20 years. It still runs great ( it has the non hacking Miyota 8215). The early models were a lot less flashy, but Invicta was sued by Rolex for the similarity, and the engraving on the side and the counterbalance were a stipulation of the settlement. Mine has been a great beater watch, and has gone with me to Iraq and been on my wrist underwater and in extreme environments. Mind you, it is not by any means a true premium watch, but it works, and has not let me down yet. It has not been serviced as long as I have owned it, and still keeps as good time as any of my Citizen or Seiko divers.
I've got a full review coming. Aside from the couple of aesthetic complaints I'm pretty impressed. I'm not sure why there's so much hate out there on this watch even at it's normal $80-90 price it's a good value.
Hey Al, thanks for watching. What specifically is too critical? Overall I was fairly impressed with the watch given how bad of a reputation Invicta has. Watch my full review for a more indepth look at the watch if you've got some time.
It’s beautiful just the kind of watch you want for everyday looks great great movement something you can scratch up and not feel bad about it.. I love that watch
Lol been watching your channel for a while and just heard you mention that you're a fellow graphic/web designer :) Now I see why your attention to detail is so high (and maybe why I keep coming back to this channel lol).
Invictas are not considered trash because of its performance, people usually don’t like them because f it’s styling but usually some sort f watch snob these are great watches! I have 3 invictas and have never had any issues with them and I like how most of them look! They must be doing something right they sell a lot of watches!!
I bought the blue dial version on Prime Day and have to say I am surprised how attractive it looks in person. It wears a little bigger than my SKX 175. I don't find the logo engraved on the case too distracting. The biggest negative I have is the glossy blue bezel. It shines like an aluminum Pepsi can. For the price point, I can't complain.
This bezel is a bit glossy too, but probably not as bad as what you're describing on the blue. When I do a more thorough review I'm sure I'll discuss those types of things in more detail.
Bad Egg: Hey Buddy! I also bought the 9094ob on primeday and mine came with the ultra light blue bezel, too. Older models had the same blurple color bezel as the blurple dial. I guess they make them with the brighter blue color bezels now. Thought about returning it.. The colors just look mismatched to me. I have a 9094a that doesn't fit into my Pro Diver collection due to its scalloped bezel, but it has the blue bezel I hoped the 9094ob would also have. What to do, what to do?
My 8926 was very accurate (as mentioned in the video) at +2-3sec/day. Kept this accuracy for one year. After that year it became quite unsteady gaining or losing about 30secs/day. No it was not magnetized. I serviced it and now the accuracy is at +9sec/day which i thnk is very good. My guess is that the movement was made years ago before the watch was manufactured and the lube was all dried.
It's become my experience that Seiko movements can be very inconsistent, being well regulated at one point and seemingly out of nowhere and for no reason become very erratic.
Looks like a fun modding project to me. Polish out the side, some new hands and whatever else you like to make it your own and if you still don't like it you are only out $49 and you might gain some modification skills. A gift is another great idea since it looks like it keeps excellent time. Looking forward to the review. I always thought it was overpriced at msrp but $49 seems fair if you like homage watches.
I have a friend that's already said he wants it so I'm going to peel off the plastic, give it a test drive, do a full review, and send it on to him. Changing the hands and polishing the logo off the case was a backup plan, because I do actually like the watch. Sort of makes me wish I had a Submariner, but I don't think I'm ready to go down that road.
I bought the gold version of the bay exactly for modding. I'll do it in phases. 1) sand out and polish/brush branding + replace bezel insert to a red vintage one + swap to vintage leather strap. In a year or so 2) change second hand and replace to sapphire glass. Eventually if I get tired of it I'll find a new dial and hand set.
Thanks for the vid. I'd say keep it long enough for a review. On paper, it looks pretty good. Decent movement, decent box, even comes with a 3yr warranty if you purchase it from an AD. I despise the homage styling but for $50, not bad
I have this watch and it's a pretty solid automatic for the price...the things you don't like I love.....the second hand counter balance and the engraving...it's different....I bought this to see if I'd like a submariner...i have the sub now and still love this dive watch...
smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B004P74USM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 picked that one up in januari 2012 changed battery on it that's it, ok i did remove som links on the bracelet but not a fault :)
I could see the price point world make their watches a hell for a modding community. For all I know there is one, that would be worth it in my eyes. Polishing the logo off would be my first move lol. Hacking and hand winding is pretty good at sub $100.
I used 1000 and 3000 grit to take the polish off of the center links. It makes it look much more expensive. I love mine and it gets noticed. Great beater.
Ball has a busy second hand counter balance also. The side brand is unique but I generally look at the face of the watch. People should just enjoy the watch.
I wish my Rolex was this accurate. Oh Well need to put the datejust in the shop. What's sad is that I can buy at least 15 Invicta Pro-Divers for the cost of one Rolex service. Great Review and Thanks for sharing.
Love my Invicta , ltd addition popeye ,, 32 of 3000 , comfortable hacking and hand wind and is more accurate than my seiko 009 Pepsi ,, I’m that impressed will buy another this yr ,, it is featured on my RUclips chan. Thanks Shane uk 🇬🇧
I like the counter balance a lot and I should mention that Squale does the same thing as Invicta and etches its name onto the left side of the case. I believe some Breitlings do that as well...
I have two of these. Both are fine quality. I had a third that was a train wreck on the Time Grapher. I speculate that Invicta received the movement from Seiko excessively lubed, or the watch endured a major shock (I hadn't dropped it, but maybe UPS tossed it around).
Yeah that would be my guess, it got tossed by the package handling gorillas at UPS. Could happen to any automatic watch that isn't especially shock resistant.
wow, because of a counterbalance on the sweep that you do not like thats a huge issue.I generally like your reviews and I know you are new to watches but the Pro-divers series 8926/9094 are pretty damm good.I.m a R**lex sub,Breitling Super O,Tudor blackbay, etc, etc, owner, blah, blah, blah, and wear my 3 different NH35 Seiko powered examples on different Barton Nato,s.
just snagged one of these in the basic black, box is no longer this type, its more basic like the outer white box is, but yellow and has the invicta logo on the top. watch has a basic tiny pillow thing through the bracelet, with a random desiccant pack just tossed in (and thus it broke, and left brown desiccant all over, though the bracelet and watch had plastic covering the steel/glass), and the warranty info. unsure if this is the new norm for the low tier models or if its just due to supply chain issues/materials cost for the while.
I got the black ..I'm thinking about a red dial swap ..would have done it the other way around, it's a lot easier to change the bezel insert bt 50 bucks on prime day ,I'm thrilled so far .they should ditch the show back and use a standard screw type for better fit and true diving potential.
I didn't know about the bezel color change. Overall, not a bad watch. I've decided to take this opportunity to mod it (new dial, hands, and bezel). There's good articles and vids to show how to do it. Can't beat the movement for the price. It's running better than my SKX.
JustBlueFish I just finished my Invicta mod. I used a D23 Mickey Mouse dial (white) from a cheap Disney watch, Seiko hands with red second hand, flat sapphire crystal and a red/black bezel insert. I also removed all the Invicta logos on the case and band. The most challenging part was removing the crown guards. It was pretty fun to do.
JustBlueFish I leave the vids to the pros like yourself. This was my first mod. I looked online for guidance and tips. Buying the tools and parts took some time and I learned a lot. I can send you pictures if you are interested. Just tell me where to send it.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but the first sets of Invicta 8926OB didn’t have the number “10” second indicator on the rotating bezel. It wasn’t until I saw the Invicta 24760 that I noticed that difference. Now, it seems the company has re-branded the 8926OB to look like the 24760. If anyone has got any idea why this happened, please share. Nice video BTW!
Thanks for watching Dami. Sorry I can't answer your question I don't have a working knowledge of the details of the history or different variations they've produced.
I can't fault someone for liking something that's very subjective like this. Your opinion certainly isn't wrong, but for me I'd prefer a clean/polished case with no markings. At least it's not super visible when it's on the wrist.
I think the haters are Rolex snobs that are insecure because they believe you must mortgage your life to have a good time piece and these look expensive and are actually very very inexpensive ...
I agree that the INVICTA on the side of the case is off-putting, but it's not something you notice when you're actually wearing it, and I don't think anyone would notice it if they saw you wearing it, either.
what I don't like about this one is the bracelet, I went for the biggest one, I'm wearing it right now it says grand diver and is solid, not the nicest watch, big and heavy with that omega bezel... but feels solid and have been very reliable
Let's stop the hate on Invicta and appreciate the value for what it is..... Great watch with interesting details to like or not, but why the hate, because it looks like a Rollie Pollie.... at 14:15 your subject matter became very based! Wear the dam thing first and give it a try! You may find out, that the things you don't need... you just can't live without......
I have one exactly like yours , it is 25 years old , it has never been serviced and it works as well as any other watch in the world . Mine did not come with the logo on the seconds hand ( why , I don't know ) the only downside is the lume which it always has been very weak , other than that , the watch is perfect .
My father was a master watch maker ( in Cuba ) and a professor at the Horology academy and he had a very kind opinion about the Pro Divers , matter of fact , he wore one as a daily beater , alternating it with a 1996 SKX009J .
Well it's hard to say based off of one timegrapher reading. What matters is how it keeps time on the wrist, getting moved around all day, but it looks like it has the potential to be very accurate.
Translation............crap it just might keep better time than my rolex????? Lol jk seriously though I have the black and gold version of this watch and all it does is keep great time, looks good, and gets many compliments.if you charged hundreds of dollars more a lot more watch snobs would be trampling g over each other at their local healer to get one but instead of its lower price they will still all fall over each other in their way into their local healer but only because their noses are so high in the air!
I don't mind or like the second hand. Take it or leave it I'd just as soon leave it. I can't stand the massive "Invicta" on the side of the case. Other than that, so far it's worth the $60 I paid for mine.
and these watches are why invicta is considered cheap and makes there higher end models not worth. just like people seeing a grand seiko and think it's just a seiko. because they think of seikos cheapest offerings the seiko 5. yes some of there watches are cheaply made and some are made vary robust.
I did a full review video on this watch. The full review video is probably better. This is just the inboxing I didn't even peel the plastic off at this point.
I'd love to see you run some water resistance tests on this watch if you don't return or sell it. I used to own one of these years ago and didn't mind the watch. It has an overall cheap feel to it I think, but it lasted for me. I never wore it much, but it lasted at least 6-7 years before I sold it. The biggest issue most people have is the blatant Rolex design copy more than anything else. I personally always assumed their water resistance claims were total BS as well.
I have a friend that said he wants it, so I'm going to keep it for a little test drive, do a full review, then send it off to him. I don't mind the Rolex homage/copy at all, I kinda like it, I always assumed the hate was over quality or something. It seems like decent quality so far, for a sub-$100 watch.
Most of the gripes I've seen has been based off the design and pricing/advertising. In a sense it is looked at as a fake watch because it uses the Rolex Submariner design and changes nothing of their own . They also have one that copies the Rolex Daytona called the Speedway chronograph. Those two are their best selling watches, so in a sense they make the majority of their money off the recognizability and design of Rolex. As for pricing, they kind of dupe non-watch people into purchasing by thinking they are getting a deal. All their watches have ridiculous MSRP listing. Many watch companies have marked up MSRP, but not to the extent of Invicta. I do believe they have finally started phasing this out in recent years, but for a long time this exact watch was advertised as an MSRP of almost $600.I believe the box I had from mine stated like $595 or something like that. They also used to throw a lot of wording in the advertising to make their watches sound like they were Swiss despite not being Swiss. Anyway, hope your friend enjoys the watch. It's a solid beater watch but I've never been a big fan of the company.
What u want a happy meal to go with the rest of the watch. Nice watch but my wrist are big or fat so i like the invicta bigger watch. Wish they could make this model to a bigger exact one.
The ‚first‘ dive watch, the ca. $ 7000.- Blancpain fifty fathoms has the name of the brand engraved in the same way the Invicta has. So what? So why the hate? (of the ‚watch community). Btw, that would lead to the conclusion that the Pro Diver actually is a Blancpain homage and not Rolex.
Ya I'd say it presents small, which I think is good. I'm fairly impressed based off my very short time with it so far, but it won't replace my Seiko diver's.
We have been taught to hate this watch before having a personal experience with it. It is very clear why is so hated. You don´t have to crash the piggy bank for a diver watch. Just $50USD.
Bad reviews are by watch snobs brilliant value for money lovely watch extremely accurate people buy audi because they think its better than vw exactly the same products in different caseings badge snobbery
Interesting. A Seiko 4R36 machine for $50? What a deal. The design sins are just tacky to the refined eye, not fatal and not junk at least for now.and I don't mean to infer that anything is tacky, what do I know?
For $50 bucks how can you go wrong. It even comes Inna 1996 Breitling Style box. I know because my 1996 Breitling came in one. They were ripping off Breitling then and still are.
Yeah those two things bugged me as well. I ended up giving the watch to a buddy and he's loved it, so if you can overlook those little things there's not much to dislike.
Nice. Yeah, I can't overlook it. I want an automatic Submariner "homage" that doesn't have "extra" manufacturer gaudiness. Any thoughts on Gigandet G2-002, or other suggestions? Seems right enough from what little I know. Their Speed Timer is really nice.
I think I'm going with the Gigandet G2-002. You should do a review on it, because I cannot find an English one. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00851R9LY/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A129Y62WKXC56Y&psc=1
It's a little more expensive but have you looked at the Steinhart brand? I have one someone loaned me and a review of it will be coming next week. Spoiler alert, it's pretty awesome.
Good review but not for me . I purchased a similar watch but quartz movement. The watch after about 8-10 years literally fell apart. I can show you pics of the rust on the crown stem. The invicta watches are complete garbage and do not hold up to the test of time . Also, the pro diver I owned was never used for harsh activities . Pool, beach , gym etc.
Thanks for watching and the comments. I'd honestly be pretty happy with getting 8-10 years out of a sub $100 watch. I consider watches at that price point disposable. I'd never spend the money to have them serviced so anything over 5 years would be acceptable to me.
8-10 years? That's not bad at all considering the price. I've had quartz Seikos last less time than that. I could see your point if the watch was a major financial investment but a quartz Invicta is absolutely not an heirloom level timepiece and to hold it to the same standard is frankly ridiculous.
If you dont have much use of it? Why buy it in the first place? As there are many utube reviews of this sub invecta watch!!? I think it's a fad of yours who as to much disposable cash!! Why dont you give it to someone who would appreciate a quality item such as this!!!
Must be nice to order a watch I don’t want or need just because I’ve never seen one in person lol I’m not judging you lol I just wouldn’t do that in my world lol
Yeah I know it’s your job I was just admiring your ability to just pick one up! Most people can’t do that it’s great you can do it! I’m not sure you got the sarcasm in my post ?
I'd never spend the money to get a sub-$100 watch serviced unless it had some sort of sentimental value. If it fails in a month that'll let me know why it doesn't have a favorable reputation and that I need to avoid the brand.
For goodness sake bro, rate tge watch on what it is not on your stupid and ignorant preconceptions! Can't you put your prejudices aside long enough to be honest?
I have this accurate Invicta and do not complain ,on the contrary I am PROUD to wear Invicta!!
Thanks for watching.
Me too buddy love mine!!
Same here I have the same model and LOVE it
I like my blue Pro Diver.
Thanks for watching and for the comments Tom. Check out my full review if you get a chance.
I own this piece. One of the best watches ever created in its price point!
Thanks for watching.
Skyfall 007 worth buying? I currently have the orient ray ii
I've owned a Rolex Oyster Datejust, Seikos SKX and Monsters, even 2 Casio's. Also a proud owner of a Invicta Pro Diver 9094OB :) Go Invicta..!!
I have a full review of the Invicta coming in the next few days, stay tuned.
I like the counterbalance on the second hand
So do I.
I like the fact that Invicta owns this watch. It'd be much worse, in my opinion, to have a Rolex branded fake.
i own 4 Invicta pro diver automatic watches in different colors and I absolutely love them.
Wow +1 second over 100 hours is outstanding. Very nice.
JustBlueFish Watch Reviews yep. Invicta did the regulation on this one really well.
These are built a sturdy as a tank. I've had mine for several years and still enjoy wearing it.
Always cool to hear stories about guys that have had these for years. Thanks for watching and the comments.
Your never going to find a better watch for $49.
I think I'd even like it at the normal retail price but $49 was a crazy steal.
Thanks for watching.
If I recall correctly that invicta logo on the side was part of some lawsuit agreement with Rolex.
Interesting, I didn't realize that. It's a shame, it really is an eyesore to me.
no its not but they got sued after this model was sold OB original bezel or old bezel the newer model didn't have it. Rolex sued them and in the lawsuit they weren't allowed to use a coin edge bezel and whatever models they r still selling with a coin edge bezel they had to pay royalties to rolex for each watch they sold
Also, if some unsavory character decides to releive you of your Rolex, the Invicta on the side proves you're not worth robbing 😂
No. Wrong.
I love my Invictas!
Thanks for watching.
I own 3 and they are great and reliable watches at a very low price point ... Great buy on your part ...
I've got a full review coming. Aside from the couple of aesthetic complaints I'm pretty impressed. I'm not sure why there's so much hate out there on this watch even at it's normal $80-90 price it's a good value.
Thumbs down. You never peeled the plastic off
Being too critical. Good points but what do you want for this price?
LOVE MINE!
Thanks for watching.
Thanks for the vid. I'd say keep it long enough for a review. On paper, it looks pretty good. Decent movement, decent box, even comes with a 3yr warranty if you purchase it from an AD. I despise the homage styling but for $50, not bad
I have a friend that has already said he wants it when I'm done with it, so I'll probably give it a test drive and review before passing it on to him.
I have this watch and it's a pretty solid automatic for the price...the things you don't like I love.....the second hand counter balance and the engraving...it's different....I bought this to see if I'd like a submariner...i have the sub now and still love this dive watch...
Thanks for watching and for the comments, I appreciate it. Enjoy the Sub!
Had my invicta as a daily wear for years, no problems at all.
Nice, always good to hear that kind of experience.
smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B004P74USM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 picked that one up in januari 2012 changed battery on it that's it, ok i did remove som links on the bracelet but not a fault :)
I could see the price point world make their watches a hell for a modding community. For all I know there is one, that would be worth it in my eyes. Polishing the logo off would be my first move lol. Hacking and hand winding is pretty good at sub $100.
Thanks for watching. I have a full length review of the swatch if you haven’t seen it yet check it out.
I used 1000 and 3000 grit to take the polish off of the center links. It makes it look much more expensive. I love mine and it gets noticed. Great beater.
Thanks for watching.
Ball has a busy second hand counter balance also. The side brand is unique but I generally look at the face of the watch. People should just enjoy the watch.
Underrated if we look at price-quality
Thanks for watching.
Great review! Love this watch 😉
Thanks for watching.
Simply the best
Superb watch for the price ..... I have two. Amazing value !
I wish my Rolex was this accurate. Oh Well need to put the datejust in the shop. What's sad is that I can buy at least 15 Invicta Pro-Divers for the cost of one Rolex service. Great Review and Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching Eddie, I appreciate it.
Thanks for watching.
I like the counter balance a lot and I should mention that Squale does the same thing as Invicta and etches its name onto the left side of the case. I believe some Breitlings do that as well...
Thanks for watching Jeffrey, if you haven’t seen it I have a full length review of the Invicta in my video library you should check out.
JustBlueFish Watch Reviews will do!
love this video. keep it coming sir. :)
Thanks I'll do my best.
It is such a great watch day on day and I have a 14060 sub.
6:08 my favorite part.
haha, I forgot all about that. Thanks for reminding that with me.
wow, because of a counterbalance on the sweep that you do not like thats a huge issue.I generally like your reviews and I know you are new to watches but the Pro-divers series 8926/9094 are pretty damm good.I.m a R**lex sub,Breitling Super O,Tudor blackbay, etc, etc, owner, blah, blah, blah, and wear my 3 different NH35 Seiko powered examples on different Barton Nato,s.
just snagged one of these in the basic black, box is no longer this type, its more basic like the outer white box is, but yellow and has the invicta logo on the top. watch has a basic tiny pillow thing through the bracelet, with a random desiccant pack just tossed in (and thus it broke, and left brown desiccant all over, though the bracelet and watch had plastic covering the steel/glass), and the warranty info. unsure if this is the new norm for the low tier models or if its just due to supply chain issues/materials cost for the while.
Just bought one don't have enough to buy a rolex haven't received it yet but anxious to receive it !
I would feel like an Idiot to try to impress with a LOLEX. The SEIKO Movement is FIRST CLASS! The polishing finish is great.
I also did a full length review of this watch, check that out too. Thanks!
Come on man. U only paid 50 bucks. I'll take it
I got the black ..I'm thinking about a red dial swap ..would have done it the other way around, it's a lot easier to change the bezel insert bt 50 bucks on prime day ,I'm thrilled so far .they should ditch the show back and use a standard screw type for better fit and true diving potential.
I didn't know about the bezel color change. Overall, not a bad watch. I've decided to take this opportunity to mod it (new dial, hands, and bezel). There's good articles and vids to show how to do it. Can't beat the movement for the price. It's running better than my SKX.
Enjoy the modding. I'm not brave enough to jump into that but it seems like there's a lot of cool stuff you can do with it.
Wow that's crazy. I'd like to see that did you document the process at all? Would make for a cool video.
JustBlueFish I leave the vids to the pros like yourself. This was my first mod. I looked online for guidance and tips. Buying the tools and parts took some time and I learned a lot. I can send you pictures if you are interested. Just tell me where to send it.
Cool, Justbluefish@gmail.com if you get time.
Keep it it's beautiful
Invicta ( quality wise ) are very good watches , what people hate are the horrid monstruosities in 55 mm and half a pound in weight .
Haha, yeah those are ridiculous.
JustBlueFish Watch Reviews That's fine. Cheers!
Other people reviewing this watch liked the Invicta on side. I myself kind of like it.
I can't fault someone for liking something that's very subjective like this. Your opinion certainly isn't wrong, but for me I'd prefer a clean/polished case with no markings. At least it's not super visible when it's on the wrist.
A personal preference thing. I was just pointing that out.
For the money can't beat that watch..
Yeah especially the $49 crazy sale price I picked it up for.
JustBlueFish WoW!!I thought I got a deal at 80..Nice Grab
I think the haters are Rolex snobs that are insecure because they believe you must mortgage your life to have a good time piece and these look expensive and are actually very very inexpensive ...
I'll be posting my full review soon, it's filmed and will be ready to upload in the next few days.
I agree that the INVICTA on the side of the case is off-putting, but it's not something you notice when you're actually wearing it, and I don't think anyone would notice it if they saw you wearing it, either.
Cool
it's a great watch dude especially the price. I mean a Rolex is a rolex but think about it for a second they alllllllll tell time
Thanks for watching.
I like it.
If it holds up and doesn't have any sort of failure I agree, it's not bad at all. Only time will tell.
what I don't like about this one is the bracelet, I went for the biggest one, I'm wearing it right now it says grand diver and is solid, not the nicest watch, big and heavy with that omega bezel... but feels solid and have been very reliable
Thanks for watching. I appreciate it.
JustBlueFish Watch Reviews thanks to you for the awesome videos man!
25 years! That’s awesome.
My father was a master watch maker ( in Cuba ) and a professor at the Horology academy and he had a very kind opinion about the Pro Divers , matter of fact , he wore one as a daily beater , alternating it with a 1996 SKX009J .
wait so this keeps better time than the rolex?
You want to likethis watch! Give in lol wear it for awhile I was on the fence to now it’s getting tons of wrist time!!
Some incredible footage until 1:22.
Thanks
I don't mind or like the second hand. Take it or leave it I'd just as soon leave it. I can't stand the massive "Invicta" on the side of the case. Other than that, so far it's worth the $60 I paid for mine.
and these watches are why invicta is considered cheap and makes there higher end models not worth. just like people seeing a grand seiko and think it's just a seiko. because they think of seikos cheapest offerings the seiko 5. yes some of there watches are cheaply made and some are made vary robust.
Thanks for watching.
You used a nice, sharp camera, but forgot to clean the watch glass, it's full of dust specks.
They do. it's called the Grand Diver.
You couldn’t peel off the plastic from the crystal?
its not his watch, he is going to return it..he just needed more subscribers
I've had this watch, wears like a 38 on my wrist...I didn't like the look, not a bad watch but it's not my swag, good luck with it though.
Ya I'd say it presents small, which I think is good. I'm fairly impressed based off my very short time with it so far, but it won't replace my Seiko diver's.
Invicta, the yugo of watches. Actually a better value than shinola!
Speaking of Shinola, I have a Shinola Runwell on loan that I'm about to review...
that invicta name they engraved on the side of the case is horrible.. but great video and first impressions
Thanks for check out the video.
yesssir! Did you end up returning this watch or are you going to gift it. I think you mentioned that as well
A friend wants it so I am taking it for a test drive right now. I'll review it and send it to him when I'm done with it.
That's makes it easy for you! Nice :)
We have been taught to hate this watch before having a personal experience with it. It is very clear why is so hated. You don´t have to crash the piggy bank for a diver watch. Just $50USD.
What's in the box!!.. Guess the movie? 🤔
7
@@JustBlueFish Indeed.. Scared the hell out of me that film.
why do you never wear the watches!!!
Bad reviews are by watch snobs brilliant value for money lovely watch extremely accurate people buy audi because they think its better than vw exactly the same products in different caseings badge snobbery
You probably should've already known about the hacking feature, but I'll assume that you just want to attack the brand
Interesting. A Seiko 4R36 machine for $50? What a deal. The design sins are just tacky to the refined eye, not fatal and not junk at least for now.and I don't mean to infer that anything is tacky, what do I know?
haha, it's ok it is tacky, but even at the normal retail price it might be a decent value.
hi, any chance that i get this watch as a gift? :)
Sorry a friend of mine already appropriated it.
You say cost 45 I don't see that price?
I said I got it on sale on a special Amazon Prime day. The normal price ranges from $75-$90 in my experience.
For $50 bucks how can you go wrong. It even comes Inna 1996 Breitling Style box. I know because my 1996 Breitling came in one. They were ripping off Breitling then and still are.
The second hand counter balance is my favourite part of the watch. makes it unique and it looks beautiful too. you must be gay to not like it. gay
Funny, that hand stood out and bugged me too as soon as I saw it. And especially the side logo. Unnecessary.
No I have not. I'll check it out. I'm not buying until next month, so I'll wait for your vid. Thanks!
Buy this thing and beat it up. It's just a watch
Well this is sort of my job.
Yeah I know it’s your job I was just admiring your ability to just pick one up! Most people can’t do that it’s great you can do it! I’m not sure you got the sarcasm in my post ?
take the plastic off the face!!!! I have one of these, as well as a real Submariner. Invicta has it's use when I trravel out of the USA.
Invicta logo on the side?
Get over it.
JUNK, wait until you need service! Invicta is the worst of all time! At 49 bones you can just throw it away when it takes a crap in the next month..
I'd never spend the money to get a sub-$100 watch serviced unless it had some sort of sentimental value. If it fails in a month that'll let me know why it doesn't have a favorable reputation and that I need to avoid the brand.
trevor walker Nice uninformed comment sir...
true, thought about it after posting, just chuck it and buy another if you're into invicta..
A man's voice with a women's hands
Thanks for watching I appreciate it.
Nice watch! I'll be very happy to have it...send me as gift, it Will be very helpfull mate...
For goodness sake bro, rate tge watch on what it is not on your stupid and ignorant preconceptions! Can't you put your prejudices aside long enough to be honest?
