Yes, insane musician! Of course, just a bit of light relief here but we started out with just me and Marc singing. It wasn’t until maybe 82 that we got our first real singer.
Wow, this brings back memories! I was probably there - some of the most enjoyable and uplifting gigs I've ever been to. Are there more live recordings from the 80s?
Yeah, took me back too. What an audience!!! This tracks from the extras on the New Life Definitive Edition but there’s plenty of bootlegs around from those gigs.
@@solsticeuk Thanks for the reply. I have the CD so should've known - I'll be giving the bonus tracks disc another listen soon - mainly I play the first disc. The gigs are such a great memory - I always continued grinning from ear to ear all the way home. The current gigs look amazing too - I can't wait to get to the UK to see you play again.
I've got a CD with bootlegs from The Venue, BBC rock show & some other stuff but not sure on the legality of sharing it. I have no issues but..... Any comments or thoughts Andy? (And yes, I will get back eventually so you need to rehearse The Sea !!)
This is from the Nee Life reissue extras which were taken from the many bootlegs in circulation. They’re definitely out there. I remastered this track which improved the audio quite a bit 👌
🤣 yes, I think you kinda had to have been there 😁 Also explains why when we got in the front door of a record label they were only interested in making a novelty hoedown single 😁
Thank you for setting the time machine back to the Marquee, 1985. Remarkably good quality. Quite the hoedown going on here!
Great fun!! 😁 Good times!!😍
Thanks for that Andy, great playing from Marc there and a pleasant surprise to hear a male vocal instead of it always being female lead.
Nice change 😋

Ditto for me, happy days! So good to have Solstice back firing on all cylinders.

@@david3302 I hope you make it over one of these days. Incidentally, New Life is coming out in vinyl later this year.

Nice quality. Is there more from this gig? Chances are I was there - I don't think I missed a Marquee gig between '83 and '85.

Well, that was kinda different! Good fun, though. 🤠

I think that might be my school friend Rob in the foreground. He went on to make lot of money in banking... :/
Ooh nice… perhaps he’d like to produce a video currently in pre-pro 😉😁
