Y’all hearing what they saying. They are from the below side, poverty. Just cause he ain’t talking about killing don’t mean they ain’t hard. They trying to give tools and tips for Consciousness to push the black community up. Instead of being soulless people. This is the only platform form black folk have to put there message out

SMH....comparing Slimkid3 to Young Thug? Really?? lol...you gotta remember back in the 90s there was a million different styles of rap compared to how it is today where everybody sounds the same. Please open ya minds and respect! That's the God producer J. Dilla on the beat, as well.

Things were far more creative back then, nobody sounded like one another, you had to be different and bring your own style or you were wack. There were a bunch of groups that were in the same lane as the pharcyde (a tribe called quest, de la soul. Digable planets, Pete Rock & C.L Smooth, etc etc) . This is what was on the radio at the time as well.

There were other rappers like them back then. The whole Jungle brothers crew including Tribe Called Quest and also Digable Planets. There was alot of variety in the early 90s. That was what was so great about it to me.

The early to mid-90s were by far the most creative time for hip hop and every artist was attempting to bring something new to the scene just so they could stand out from the crowd. What you need to keep in mind is that hip hop was all underground back then as it didn’t really start selling major units until the late 90s/early 2000s. Because of this artists knew they weren’t going to make a lot of money from rap and so felt more free to just be experimental.
Today’s scene is preoccupied with selling units, merch, collecting views etc which has resulted in the most conservative period in hip hops history, where everyone is scared of taking risks, either stylistically or thematically.

Are you guys don't understand the difference between rap and hip hop man that's the problem that's having with you...... Hip hop is different type of beats it's holistic you know it's positive energy they don't brag about how rich they are their cars or fucking women....... Man you got to figure that out before you going to do reviews on it

Clearly you guys have kibbles and bits knowledge about Hip Hop and life in general. Expanding your dome piece, thats what the golden era of hip hop was about. Being conscious don't make you soft.
