- It is not everyday that you receive an email asking if you would be interested in buying a barn full of 1934 Fords, but if you do respond IMMEDETIALY. At first we thought the barn was going to be full of rusty and rotten 34s, the pictures we received told a different story. At that point we knew we had to try to buy it all. We won't spoil to much in the description so be sure to watch the entire video!!

I can only imagine the stress of figuring out the loading process to bring the stuff back home but you always seem to have it down to a science to get it done you rock Matt!!!!!
from a '34 5w owner - wow, just wow... and the 5w is your "keeper" you're only the 3rd owner of Beautiful... great video guys
I love these old cars. I have a 32 Sedan that I inherited from my dad when he passed away in '02. At some point, I want to do a ground-up restoration. Keep up the picking, Matt!!
Keep er a driver
The voice over interview discussion while pulling each car out was great. What a find!
Yeah the original owner, I would rather have seen him telling the stories. In a way it is kinda sad, old geezer hoarded these for all his life and in the end he realized he was never going to getting these 34's restored. At least he got paid. Some just die and the family calls the scrapyard and then the stuff is gone forever.
I am sure at todays lumber prices there is more value in lumber in that shed than old fords !!!!! :-)
Nah, lumber’s dropped back down close to normal.
👍🏼👍🏼
@@billbeyer657 Not in the UK it hasn`t !-that is if you can find any.
@@billbeyer657 Not here it hasn't.
@@rockettcustoms6266 well I don't know where "here" is but lumber prices on the futures market in the US are back down to Nov 20 prices so it'll be hitting the retailers PDQ
You are, indeed, amazing. It's great hearing the histories of some of the cars. Love to see that Phaeton and 'Beauty' restored to their former glory.
You've been doing this long enough that the good stuff seems to find you. What a marvelous haul. These are some of my favorite videos.
It makes me so excited for you guys when I see a major find like this and I’m just watching it on RUclips. I can’t imagine really being there.
And Matt scores another big one !
Way to go Matt !
So many new hot rods there !
Keeps the old iron on the roads !
I love how you document some of the stories of these barn finds. Keep up the good work!
Thank you Matt and friends for the adventure and seeing amazing finds ! Especially " Beautiful " !
I enjoyed how the gentleman knew when and where he got everything 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Dennis Collins has nothing on you Matt. Thanks for the heart pumping and big smile on my face from this barn find
Matt, you've turned your passion into a business, doing fine work, and keeping those old Fords alive.Enjoy your show, and really glad you are dirty and you show us how you do your magic, plus you are very keen on the parts, how to redo anything,Henry would be proud of you.
Holy Crap, Matt! It's freakin' Christmas! I'm not even thru the video yet, but had to comment because I'm tearing up watching the cars come out of the barn! Love the story on Clara Spencer's car!
All that..in one place! That's incredible!
Holy smokes, what a treasure...!
Love the Ford signs.
The guys memory was incredible.
But why didn't he ever do something with those cars after buying them 50 odd years ago when he was still young ? I am only halfway watching so I hope it does get explained
Poor old guy. He didn’t realize those Shell and Ford signs were worth more than this guy paid for all of the cars and parts combined.
I've lost track of how many barns full of cars and parts I've been in with the same story. Intentions get busted by life and then life ends. Its our responsibility as fellow car enthusiasts to finish the jobs or keep them from the scrappers.
Incredible find... you've got to keep "Beautiful" !
I agree...clean it up, get it running, just do what is necessary, with vanity plate "CLARA"
I really like how you guys edited so the owner is talking as you were pulling the car out, good job on making it interesting!
Thank you!
GOOD GAWD MATT! JUST GOES TO SHOW THAT THE HARDER YOU WORK THE LUCKIER YOU GET. CONGRATS ON THE FIND OF A LIFETIME, YOU HAVE REACHED LEGENDARY STATUS AFTER THIS FIND
These cars are like what you would find in the 50s 60s and 70s. to find these in 2021 are crazy you need a bigger shop and more people to work for you to truely save the cars you find.
Just curious how much everything cost because Holy shit that's a load of gold
@Stephen Schneider well really it's nobody's business, but yes we all are dying to know. We already know he's going to resell for a profit. 😀
Generally iron trap pays a fair wholesale price so most sellers are quite happy
@Stephen Schneider Because he ripped this old man off. No way that old man realized the value of those extremely rare Shell and Ford signs or he would have took them to auction. I bet he makes his money back and profits off of the signs alone. Clean up that old original 5 window and send it to Meecum and it would go for a crazy amount of money. This is the find of a lifetime.
@@sickstuff7624 Well I don't think the old guy wrote the email... So family would be involved. and nowadays nobody is so stupid for selling it for the price of scrap metal. Also prices can be looked up easily online. If het got what he wanted then it's fine. Just like you said it is the deal of a lifetime and also for Irontrap Garage.
That guy had great collection. If it were me I'd keep the little old lady's car and getting running and driving and leave the 80+ year old patina on it.
Yes, wash it and out the oil to it! Polish it! Leave it pretty!
100%
Yes...absolutely!
If that car gets rodded I will personally fly to the US and punch whoever does it in the face!
I would love to see a full restoration for the Phaeton.
That is a once in a lifetime haul! I would have bought it even if I had to hock everything that I own to do it. Congratulations!👏🏻
Matt, my money is on you keeping the 34 three window... Personally I would keep the 34 five window, get it mechanically sound, interior, spit shine, and drive it just like it is with its barn find "patina" 😁... Awesome video, thanks as always for the awesome content and inspiration! 🤘🤘🤘
christmas in july....nice haul. We expect these cars to be road ready by then end of the month, you have your assignment.
Goddamn what a haul!
this was a great episode, that barn is amazing, to think that stuff has been waiting all this time for you to come along and rescue it, some real friends you got there, i see where you got the wood floor idea for your shop expansion!
This barn was amazing! We’d love to recreate the look and feel!
Great video Matt like always! It was awesome seeing all of those cars and parts saved! My guess is that you'll either keep the green coupe or 'Beautiful' the 5-window. But i put my bet on 'Beautiful' because she is complete and would probably need some work and a good cleaning to get back on the road!
I guess the only thing I can say is how lucky I am to be part of the Iron Trap Garage family even if I live in another country. What an opportunity for you Matt! I just watched in awe! Keep up the great work and as you see, the rewards follow! Thanks for the videos, from your friend, Trevor Calhoun, Peterborough Ontario Canada.
My family had a 34 Ford 2 d-oor sedan, From 1940 till 1953. A great car.
The guy's memory was stellar. I wonder how long its been since the little old ladies ran ?...It would be cool to get it running and driving and just clean it up...that one is the keeper in my opinion.
Awesome score Matt. I officially hate you now. Keep on hunting!
I’m betting on you getting the 5 window ‘beautiful’ back on the road!
I think you’ll keep the little lady from California beauty coupe.
He likes green.
Awesome great find of all ford cars and parts
What an incredible collection! I don't think rolling a body off the frame like that was in the Ford Shop manual!😆😅😆😅
I guess when you give the respect to the cars that previous owners gave them, they will call you to take on there prized positions as the New care giver this fine rides. You are one blessed man to be able to take on such a task. that old man loved his stuff, just wanted them to be taken care of by some else who appreciated them that's all these old timers want. great job.
He will sell the majority of it and triple his money! You quite obviously don't follow him on social media! If he had to pay anywhere near market value on that big of a haul he wouldn't have been able to afford it. The road to hell is paved with good intentions .
@@andrewevans1658So it's better to just let these cars sit until the barn collapses on them? He is rescuing this stuff and making it available to the public. Besides I'd say by the time all this stuff has been re sold he will have earned every cent of profit that he makes.
@@andrewevans1658 yes i know he sales the stuff, but at least for moment of the items he gains has one last hope going onto well deserving person. but pretty sure most of people buying don't care just a "deal" is all every one is after.
Sorry I’m not an independently wealthy hoarder and I need to sell some of this stuff to afford to live and keep buying other stuff. Owner was well aware I wasn’t keeping it all but was more happy I was saving the stuff and passing what I don’t keep onto new owners that will use the cars and parts.
@@IronTrapGarage I own a business and yes it takes money to make money. It also takes money to support hobbies and addictions. I flip tools, shop equipment and parts constantly so please don't feel that I'm against you making money. As for "saving" that stuff you have no clue what the people you sell that stuff to will do with it , despite what they may tell you!
How Cool. Now i am not a Ford man, yet i can appreciate the Americana aspect to those cars. I Hit the thumbs up when he Gentleman explained about the first car & the lady who owned it. When he said the cars name was Beautiful, (which is the one i guess you keep) Thumbs Up. Then watching the rest & the backstories were dubbed over for the vehicles, led me to subscribe & see what these cars become under your care. Ty for recording these finds for us to see.
wow! that is insane! if i hadn't seen it, i would never have believed it possible to find a stash of cars of this age, in this good of shape. you have to be the luckiest guy i know. not only did you get to pick them up, but the owner contacted you. you better not buy a lottery ticket for the rest of the year, 'cause i think you've used up your spare luck for the foreseeable future.
15:50. Don't lose that beautiful roadster down the hole!
WoW that's all I can say and y'all must have good luck also money . Love the videos 🙂
I'd Fix Or Repair Daily any one of those. What an amazing haul.👍
Matt; You are going to put the "Beautiful" coupe back on the road as a tribute to the woman who owned it. Great companion piece to the 34 2Dr. C J
If it were me I would keep the 34 five window, and sell the rest. Just me.
That warehouse is going to fill up fast!
Brother Matt, I am So Freakin Jealous, my Friend!
👍😁👍
I'm guessing the 5 window. clean it up get it running and drive it.
What a score! Unbelievable! Awesome!
Great to see you got the find of this awesomeness you are truly the keeper for this old stuff you know how to get it with the right people to keep the cars to keep living!!!! Thanks for sharing this awesome content with us I had a sad week and you brightened my spirit by allowing us to see all this great stuff!!!!!
Man , makes me think back say 60 years to my uncles old garage I would go in to look at his cars 34s model a and 40 coupe with olds rocket 88
Just want to say , still like to see these old cars being found , but my wife wonders why I love old cars so much. Thanks a lot matt.
Tell her because new cars are junk!
Wow - Incredible find !..... Whoever the owner is - he is LEGEND
He should write a book, tracing some of the history of early Fords in the West.
When you have enough holy grails to make a full dinner set. 😉👍 Id love to see the tan 5 window restored back to original, its escaped being a hot rod this long it would be ashame to cut it up now.
Plus its not like he doesn't have enough parts to build five customs lol.
It should be put back on the road as is, a full restoration would spoil everything that makes the car special
@@lobmin Your totally right, In my head I meant cleaned up and made working again missing parts replaced, original survivor style, but yeah, I guess the word "restoration" does mean a full redo of the body interior etc........Ive been watching "sh-itina" cars built on ITG for so long I forgot there are guys who do the "full restorations" LOL
@@jasonrackawack9369 ah gotcha, I was thinking you were one of the "showroom restore everything" guys :)
Hot damn, a 33 5 window is my holy grail of hot rods.
Someone building a fleet of 32 to 35 Fords so he can have his own parades. :)
WOW! What a gold mine of Model 40's.
I can see you and Kate cruising in the 5 window “Beautiful” 👍👍👍
That needs to be Kate's coupe until she's too old to drive it!
Great, great vid. You hit mother load, really dig the signs now what a lifetime of projects? Or flip what you can. Think you’ll keep the 5 window. Beautiful car.
Beautiful is beautiful. I would love to have the 5 window. Thanks Matt.
Just incredible, what a find! Good for you! 👍
Congrats on hitting the jackpot Matt. That's just one reason why I love growing up and living in Michigan.
The 5 window from California will be your pick!
Great work Matt getting these old Ford back out where people can enjoy them.
Keep the 5w or the Roadster! Great video.
Nice collection, now Mike can start a project 👍
Wow, is about all I can say ! Matt you make Mike Wolfe and the American pickers look like amateurs ! Lol
That’s right, why run and get one when you can walk and get them all!
luv it when you can smell the car through the RUclips video :)
With every vintage tin national park that is found and preserved there are always stories. I know everyone is curious what such a find cost you after the negotiating. Having video and audio recordings of the historical significance of each and every car and part is amazing given most of the time when it gets to this stage it is the family members that are liquidating an estate and know little about any of it but here the owner, purchaser, collector is still alive and well and his recollection is remarkable. The fact there are clear titles is amazing. The guy obviously enjoyed sharing his love of every piece with you. In today's tech world and kid's that grew up post Vietnam this stuff is of no interest to them as millennial's who probably see it all as junk. I personally have had the pleasure of meeting many elder's that were a treasure trove of information. Sad most have passed on. But their legacy's remain for us to enjoy. Thanks for sharing this adventure.
Amazing how you guys manhandled getting the cars out
Made me exhausted just watching those young guys work lol.
Super good haul and ome really good 34s and 35s ! Beautiful is the car your going to put back on the road . Cool stories with all the cars . I would like to know what happened with the firetruck and the other big trucks . Cause I would have brought back a couple of those back with me . They are really cool when they are restored and running . Again great find and keep bring the great content .
Omg like a kid in a candy store I hate you Matt lol 😂😂
what a wonderful treasures, awesome cars. Congrats Matt,Exellent find. My best regars From Argentina!
Amazing collection, the 34 five window is the keeper of the bunch.
You've got to keep "Beautiful" !
Wow Matt what a Great Find n Now Mike Could have his Car Huh n He Can Finally Build his Family a Dream Hot Rot
You are one lucky fella. I think you'll keep the 3 window.
Rob Felten put me down for the roadster
What dreams are made of 🤩
Отличная покупка ! Молодцы.
Unreal treasure uncovered. It looked like a movie set for a Dick Tracy movie lol 👍
I'm sure your keeping the 5 window!
Matt that first big barn that you went into and showed just how tall it was, have you considered offering to buy it from the gent?
With timber prices as they are are the already atmospheric feel of it it could be used to expand your original garage and make it look like it was always there all for a reasonable price.
Tony from Western Australia 🇦🇺
Jesus, you would tear down the that great barn to cannabalise the wood - good thing youre not the one that found these cars - like the sellers story - guy saved some ofvthese from the hot rod cutters
Anytime you want to shoot a 2 hour video of finds like this is fine with me. Enjoy
That 5 window is amazing. They are such a good looking car. Pickup cab is awesome too!
Your going to keep what is on your truck and trailer. As a team you all really worked well together and knocked it out.
Excellent video ! Love the editing of Owner telling each story as the cars are being pulled out ; ) Great find Matt can see the excitement of getting the cars outweighed all the hard work. Thanks for all your videos
I think you should keep the three window coupe. It looks coolest.
Matt, for the last couple of years you have been just killin' it on these incredible finds!!! Your hard work and dedication to the hobby is really paying off for you now!! Congrats on another AMAZING score!!!
Well said Brian!!! My thoughts exactly!!
Thank you Brian!!
@@IronTrapGarage Matt, I thought you said you were looking to find homes for the cars you picked up in Michigan? I'm looking to buy a 1930 to 1934 Ford for myself, preferrable a coupe. Any chance some of these are available? Thanks in advance.
Totally amazing. Just great. ( two thumbs up )
What an epic find! How many of those Ford signs you gonna keep? I’d love to get my hands on one if it’s in my budget. I know they won’t be cheap.
Hi. I want one too.
This should keep you busy for a few weeks. As for the keeper? The yellow phaeton.
On one hand I am inspired by the gentleman's collection, fantastic.
He has great taste, passion, and enthusiasm for what are top shelf cars. He clearly worked hard, saw value in things many didn't, and pursued his dreams.
The kicker is, despite busting his arse, none of these dreams made it back into a living breathing car, that he got to share with his family and friends.
I'm sure it was a bit bitter-sweet seeing them all loaded, and headed off for a new lease of life, and new caretakers.
The previous owner has passed these forward, and grateful to see and hear their story so far.
Looking forward to seeing their transformation.
Cheers, Drewfus
One sunny day in Michigan…
Holy cow 👍🏽
my jaw is on the floor...with interview...just amazing ....it looks like a trip to the bank will be indicated in the future also....thanks for the trip
What a fantastic find !! I predicted the three window coupe ! Great video brother !!
Hey Matt would like to see a iron trap shop truck out of the 33 cab great videos
Wow! What a hoard! Amazing how much stuff is still hiding out there.
Wow, what a haul !
I have Model A’s, but I’ve always loved the 34’s and 36’s.
You will keep the 5 Window.
