Massive respect to the first 911 caller. Very clear and concise. Gave all the proper information needed and left all the unimportant details. Very aware!
@@evilbeaver1353Speaking of details, the first caller (a male) and the second caller (a female) were speaking to two different operators. They announce their operator number at the start of the call. EDIT: It looks like you’re talking about the DISPATCHER which is not a 911 OPERATOR. And she’s also doing her job because other officers responding but not yet at the scene also need to be informed.
That was probably the female tactical flight officer onboard the airship. She had the best possible view of the scene, which is why she was able to call out the driver's actions in real time.
me too, but even in the heat and adrenaline of all that mayhem, they STAYED professional and aware of their field of fire. You see it in a couple of their bodycams where they cease fire the second the suspect vehicle goes in front of fellow officers. TOTAL, TOTAL RESPECT to all of those Officers !
The commanding officer is an O.G. His awareness is insane. He keeps his team in check under fire and all that pressure and still runs a technical set-up. That's some serious skill set.
That's about the craziest pursuit I've ever seen and I have watched hundreds of them. How that vehicle and the suspect kept going so long is beyond me.
I don't think they were necessarily aiming to kill tbh but when a vehicle is driving towards you there's no choice but to shoot to try and stop it. But yeah it's definitely still amazing that he didn't get hit once or even during crossfire pretty much I was nervous that a cop was gonna shoot another cop
sometimes people get killed by one bullet and then sometimes they get like a rambo number of bullets and they dont' even get hit. It's nuts. It's so weird.

Actually, him being that level headed could have gotten his fellow officers killed. He’s part of this new weak police force that look out for criminals instead of his own men.
I’m astounded that none of the officers had rifles. Anyone that says “you don’t need an AR-15” for home defense needs to see this. Pistols are extremely ineffective against moving vehicles.
The judge that set bail for this should be in prison with this guy. It disgusts me that somebody who showed such disregard and willingness to kill people to escape would be allowed to walk outside a jail again.
But was it the judges fault or the states fault? A judge can only sentence you according to the statutes. If someone steals a candy bar, a judge can’t decide “life in prison with no parole” I know this is far worse than stealing a candy bar, just saying is it the judges fault or the law makers?
I got anxious seeing some of the shots they took. I’m guessing that’s why the guy yelled “No no no!” and thankfully they stopped after. Hope nobody caught any strays.
That’s what I thought too, the actions alone make it obvious this person is either suicidal or homicidal but after hearing him yell “matenme” it confirmed he was trying to die
It's time to start holding the DAs and judges accountable for the release of these violent maniacs back out into the streets. They are the reason for all this violent mayhem going on in our streets.
You think their buddies in power and who run in the same circles are going to actually take down their own buddies outside of theater for public consumption (where another will just take their place)?o
@@EvilAnomaly why are you expecting them to take themselves out? Of course that’s not going to happen. Meet them outside the courthouse and make their lives uncomfortable…that’s on us. I’m not promoting violence.
@natesmith4715 I was thinking the same thing! If a suspect was ever worthy of an absolute ass kicking, this guy was! Barricaded inside of the car?! Those 15 cops should have lined up and emptied full mags on him and the truck. He would have excited it pretty quickly when he saw a line up LE take aim in fring line while he was stopped at the end.
He seems kinda mentally unstable, but I haven’t seen enough of him to say he is. That may be the reason- just a thought. 🤷🏻♀️ (I went to college to be a therapist- I quit though, I’ll admit…. and this is an example of why lol)
One thing I will never understand is that a person who calls 911 may have a license plate number only in memory. However, before he/she can give the plate number to the 911 operator, the operator starts asking a bunch of questions possibly making the caller forget the plate number.
I had something like this, but not to this totality. I heard a crash behind me and I got out and called 911 and there was two vehicles one T-bone the other the dispatcher started asking me like 20 questions. What’s the make of each vehicle what is the race of each driver how many people are in each car do you know if anybody is hurt? Do you know what their injuries are can you give me the license plate numbers? Do you know when which direction the vehicle that hit the other vehicle was coming from and going to do you know the color of the vehicles? I was like shut the hell up and just send the police, fire department, and ambulance. She continue to ask me more questions and I said look! I’m not here to do your job for you as I’m here to call and tell you that there has been an accident and you need to send the police the fire department and ambulance and if any of those are not needed then they can turn around and go back to the station. To this day I have not called 911 ever again I’m sorry that sounds bad but it’s insane that they need all this information before they even asked me where the accident occurred or the address in order to send emergency personnel.
I know this is 5 months later but i hope you did realize they were trying to stop the car instead of killing him? And the gun was NOT like a pistol, it contained a fast rounds to be shot. They didn’t want to harm him, they wanted to harm the chevy so he could stop fleeting away. The whole point of an officer is too not harm the suspect unless its an armed one that has assaulted already. Therefore, the suspect was not armed with a firearm nor assaulted them physically yet during that shooting incident.
The Officer in the first car whose door got closed on him from the crash is an absolute beast. Was ready to step out every second, reacted in a millisecond to help himself and then immediantly opens the door and follows the supect without hesitation or fear of injury.
@@Boskibro Yeah it was very frustrating listening to some of those 911 calls. The guy trying to give the dispatcher the plate # while she seemed uninterested baffled me. I'm like what if you get disconnected? That's a key piece of info that you just fumbled for no apparent reason! 🥴🤦🏻♂️
Dude obviously has no regard for human life, he shouldn’t be able to post bail. This is the kind of person that ends up on trial later for something heinous.
I know these situations are unique sometimes where officers end up on both sides of the suspects vehicle, but I am amazed that no one was hit by all of that crossfire.

Glad to see a comment on this, thought the same thing! It’s like he knew the officer could get in a lot of trouble for leaving equipment behind, and wanted to save him the paperwork or from being disciplined
Sitting at home watching this my biggest fear was that with all the adrenaline pumping that there would be a misstep by one officer by their actions as opposed to their training, resulting in an officer down.
Adrenaline is a hell of a thing. At least he realized the threat, got the fuck back in the truck, and most importantly jumped as close to the middle of it as possible.
This is probably one of the most frightening videos of violence in the Valley I've seen. Major change needs to happen in LA county. Big props to the Officers for keeping their cool and getting the job done.
What kind of change? Another law for him not to steal property? Not to grand theft an auto? Not to destroy public property? Not to ram cars and hit people? Not to commit hit n run? Attempted murder of several police officers? Only thing that would stop him is if he stays in prison and not let go from lax la prosecutors who value criminal lives more then the law abiding lives. No law would have stopped him from commiting his heinous act.
That dispatcher knows her job!! It’s like she was in a helicopter and could see all this going down. That Incident Commander knew his job as well. His whole concern was preserving all life. They both did great jobs!
There are departments with GPS live tracking, so a dispatcher can see in real time the location and probably speed of an officer. There’s phone apps nowadays for that as well to help family members monitor each others locations for safety.
Umm no that SUV should have been blocked, he even said all he has is a screwdriver. At that point the vehicle is primary weapon. Bad call, luckily his men were spared
Rather routine from what I've seen. During stress it's hard to hold a handgun level, plus he was behind a lot of metal. I did see some blood so there must have been some injuries on the perp.

Props to dispatch for communicating and relaying clear and exact locations to the other officers. Props to the on scene commander that made sure everyone was safe and for giving clear orders. Props to the officer that was giving the commands. Props to all the officers for not shooting each other when the car drove in-between the police cars. Just a fantastic job done by all the officers that responded. *edit*. I forgot to give props to that CHP officer for quickly opening their passenger door so that LAPD officer could get cover. Just one hell of a job. Hope that officer that held on for dear life is ok.
Nah, that “pursuit” was fucking painful to watch! If someone flees from a traffic stop, you fucking chase after them! None of that pansy ass shit, no wonder it went on for so long.
The guy talking at 11:45 getting it all wrong. "The car is disable he isn't going anywhere" Really? "We don't want to hurt him" Really? He just almost killed a couple of officers, that's more than justified. Officers like this reflect the change in the force that has caused many to leave. They don't act on the fear their bosses might get bullied on social media.
@NonnofYobiznes There's definitely a lot of hesitancy with law enforcement that I've never seen until just recently. I understand where it comes from. I also feel badly for them. It makes decisive action-- and I mean professional, justified action-- much more risky. It can't be easy. As long as they're not abusive, I support them and respect them, tremendously.
Aint going to happen, citizens are too passive to take action and protest in numbers demanding change and instead just whine about it between themselves. Meanwhile the criminals take full advantage of the law changes to protect them.
All the people who called 911 were so freaking polite they were just chill nice the answered questions. Well, nobody seemed to freak out. It was amazing.
This footage was unreal, almost like GTA. Extremely intense to watch. Everyone who has a lack of respect for Police Officers needs to watch this and understand what they go through on a seemingly daily basis.
@batfleckforever7 I’ve never understood why people hate on local police while simultaneously fondling the nuts of ACTUAL tyrannical agencies like the FBI and the ATF. Get a grip on reality dude.
Also, the only career that strips you of you is constitutionally protected rights. The thugs will enforce anything as long as politicians draft it and stupid people vote on it.
There are many police officers who were close to being maimed or killed by this criminal. And the incident commander was more interested in less lethal than eliminating the threat. 12:27 “The car is disabled bro, it’s not going anywhere”. That did not wear well!
Exactly. He was really lame with that. Clearly, he might be more use to a desk than on the streets. LAPD has gotten so P.C now with their handling of suspects.
Imagine being a rookie officer, and this is your first real case! Much respect to these men. And the commanding officer for keeping things together in this very stressful case.
Always a learning experience. At least they were all able to run without losing their breath lol. He's gna be out in 2.5 hrs tops. As long as they discharge one bullet they get paid leave... Never really thought of it that way but it's true. It's a different game for these guys and they're all super nervous not to do the single tiny thing wrong so I definitely commend them for the endless ridicule they face and still go out doing gods work...
These cops do worse everyday AND cops and the judicial system covering for them things you and me could never even dream of getting away with. They will be fine😂
What the F', is the LAPD "The Gang That Couldn't Shoot Straight" now? Why does not a single one of these LAPD officers have a patrol rifle out?? Those first two officers must have been driving "Car 54". Holly ****, what a pair of goofballs. Love that backseat driving! I'd issue some AR10s in .308/7.62x51 with black tip tungsten rounds to disable that truck for real & forever, as in making lotsa holes in the engine block.
@@gm6034Is this a bot account or something? It makes no sense contextually and just sounds like something a Russian bot would say trying to be all “Hur dur popo bad!!!”
I give him credit for telling one officer to give command to the suspect but his assessment of the situation was bad. 1) the suspect had already rammed 3 police cars prior, and he told some officers to go non-lethal. 2) the suspect’s truck was still drivable from other officers viewpoint and he said the truck ain’t going anywhere. 3) knowing that the suspect would ram again, he should’ve ordered them to stand on one side instead.
It's people like this that make cops so difficult for everyone else. What a dangerous day at the office. God bless these cops for putting up with that and being so professional. Amazing.
@derjoh1986 they're saying that this is why cops are always on edge, because crazy people doing crazy things at a moments notice making cops more jumpy because of more apparent threats.
The guy in the black van - what an ace. That reverse move and then the sense to pull out of the way when officers showed up. I hope he gets recognized by the city and doesn’t get in trouble with whoever he works for.
You made me double check and yeah of course it's California there's so much red tape down there when situations like this are happening it's ridiculous it's surprising that they ever catch anybody.
When they mentioned a screw driver, I remember seeing the later part of this chase from the news helicopter cam. Dudes leg was completely broken, and he still tried to escape after being boxed in by the swat trucks. I feel sorry for the innocent people who got hit by this dude.

MAN! That was better than the movies. Spectacular. That guy was invincible surviving that hail of bullets. He obviously was on something. I can appreciate what those officers went through and how yet they had the compassion to not kill the guy. That's the mark of a true police officer.
@@speedybob9119Quit spouting that nonsense, when they fired they all aimed for the tires, the police handled this better than most could have, setting up road blocks and worried about the other civilian by trying to get him out of there
What worried me more was that nobody ever once called out, "Watch for crossfire!" It's hard to tell if they were failing to watch for crossfire, because there were so many angles and so many shooters.
Its a leftist state they dont know how to shoot. Gun culture there is bad they actually tell everyone guns are bad. So most people do not grow up shooting.
They did a terrible job. Everyone opening fire in a terrible cross-fire situation was ridiculous. Why didn't they pin the vehicle when they had a chance. They could have easily walked up and tased this guy.
You can see the shot pattern in the windshield, pretty on point. Glass does really weird things to bullet trajectory and so do metal doors on vehicles.
I used to be a cop here in Europe for almost a decade, I don’t know much about American police work, but the incident commander should be retrained. They had countless opportunities to eliminate the threat. That nobody of the officers involved or a civilian died was a miracle. "The car is disabled, he’s not going anywhere bro“. Could’ve been another famous last words. Edit: I tried to read all your comments and answering those who are worth it. Just a few additions: I’m well aware that the departments policy’s between Europe and US are very different. But over the last years the usage of deadly force and usage of duty-weapons in Europe has been increased. Also OIS. So yes, believe it or not, we have similar problems and criminals here.
Yep, this is not a good example of good police work. The vehicle could have been stopped from moving at all by just driving two or three cop cars right up to it. Take the fucking guy out! Then he takes off and all sorts of crazy gunfire. Amazing no one was hurt in cross fire. Just bad police work.
LAPD police officers including the Commander should be back to LAPD Academy for Retrained and lean how to handle the situation and must be Retrained how to shoot "Straight" .
Since he was sitting there they couldn't just shoot. They have to try to talk him out because that's what the public wants.if anything the cops need more shooting time because they missed so many opportunities when they were deploying their firearms.
All those Policemen will need to go back to Basic Training on How to Shoot Straight without Missing Your Intended Target....That Lunatic should have never come out of that set of circumstances alive
The guy directing everyone at the final crash scene is what a real cop looks like. That guy is professional. When they started to do a crossfire towards each other when the truck took off that was bad news and he was yelling stop. Then he yelled "use non lethal force", that is the type of police we need. We need to get rid of the macho guys and many ex-military Police that were trained to kill and maybe have PTSD. Notice I never said woman, well because I think they would do a better job than most men because they are more likely to "Protect and Serve". No they can't wrestle a perp as well but that is what tasers and pepper spray are for. I speak from decades of experience, personally knowing many Police officers in my life. The nicest guy I met was a Detective.
". . . many ex-military Police that were trained to kill and maybe have PTSD." That's a scumbag thing to say. First you slam military cops and then you slam people with PTSD. You're a real piece of work.
Speaking as a 25-year LEO, this is one of the worst handled incidents I have seen. There were literally countless opportunities for large number of police vehicles to actually use their vehicles to disable the SUV, yet time-and-again, the officers opted to wildly (obviously missing their target) shoot hundreds of rounds at the suspect vehicle. It would appear the LAPD and CHP were more concerned about not damaging their own cars. The IC Lieutenant obviously was attempting to avoid unnecessary gunfire and confusion with control of directives toward the suspect, but he missed the obvious, which was to immediately disable the SUV by ramming its rear wheels and boxing it in with the numerous patrol cars on scene. This video definitely should be used as a training tool on how NOT to handle a situation like this.
I agree. This was a train wreck from start to finish and I was waiting to see how many officers were wounded by their fellow officers. This man should be in prison for quite some time but I have a feeling he’s already walking the streets. Our judicial system is broken and I can’t imagine how LEO’s feel when they put their lives on the line to catch people like this and then see them be released right back onto the streets. Someone needs to be held accountable for allowing criminals like this to run amuck in a civilized community. If they hold LEO’s accountable they need to hold Judges and DA’s accountable too.

Do you know when which direction the vehicle that hit the other vehicle was coming from and going to do you know the color of the vehicles? Very impressed with the intellegence and composure of these 911 callers!
Way too often they can be unprofessional and sometimes even lack empathy and humanity. Nice to see some good ones among the bad.
Exactly, the first male was so casual like it this happens to him twice a week 🤣🤣
I am not, the cop trying to be in command said the truck wasn't going anywhere
¡Orale!
Well, when you live in LA, thid sort of thing happens several times a day so, it's kind of like describing what you just saw on television.
There are many police officers who were close to being maimed or killed by this criminal. And the incident commander was more interested in less lethal than eliminating the threat. 12:27 “The car is disabled bro, it’s not going anywhere”. That did not wear well!
Honestly he was negligent, he should be relieved and demoted
Exactly!
Amateur hour 🤦♂️
Exactly. He was really lame with that. Clearly, he might be more use to a desk than on the streets. LAPD has gotten so P.C now with their handling of suspects.
I used to be against building in a vehicle kill switch in new cars until I watched this you tube video.
This 911 calls sounds like something that happen in GTA while I'm on a mission😅
Imagine being a rookie officer, and this is your first real case! Much respect to these men. And the commanding officer for keeping things together in this very stressful case.
Shh 🤫
Always a learning experience. At least they were all able to run without losing their breath lol. He's gna be out in 2.5 hrs tops. As long as they discharge one bullet they get paid leave... Never really thought of it that way but it's true. It's a different game for these guys and they're all super nervous not to do the single tiny thing wrong so I definitely commend them for the endless ridicule they face and still go out doing gods work...
With open borders this is going to be a regular day 🤷

@@Amanda_Hugnkiss_ Yeah right about it on your blog, is it computer hour at the geriatric housing facility? Fucking lol.

Yeah, I know one way to quiet him down....permanently.

11:31 Much respect to this cop for making sure only one cop talks to the suspect and for handling the situation very well overall.
Foreal Sarge took charge.
3) knowing that the suspect would ram again, he should’ve ordered them to stand on one side instead.
mans was moving around like the zombie in the window in bo1 menu when he got shot after ramming that gray truck
It's people like this that make cops so difficult for everyone else. What a dangerous day at the office. God bless these cops for putting up with that and being so professional. Amazing.
and woke entitled people.
No, it's all the democrats in California making cops job so difficult.
I'm so confused about your point. "Make cops so difficult for everyone else?!" What does that even mean?!
@BrianHallmond an idiotic negative IQ keyboard warrior
@derjoh1986 they're saying that this is why cops are always on edge, because crazy people doing crazy things at a moments notice making cops more jumpy because of more apparent threats.
The guy in the black van - what an ace. That reverse move and then the sense to pull out of the way when officers showed up. I hope he gets recognized by the city and doesn’t get in trouble with whoever he works for.
its california though, so usually doing the right thing is a wrong thing there.

how'd they let him get away so many times is baffling.
.. he was ramming them with a Tahoe? Big fucks small.
You made me double check and yeah of course it's California there's so much red tape down there when situations like this are happening it's ridiculous it's surprising that they ever catch anybody.
Los Angeles, California.

Straight outta GTA 💀 insane dashcam footage
When they mentioned a screw driver, I remember seeing the later part of this chase from the news helicopter cam. Dudes leg was completely broken, and he still tried to escape after being boxed in by the swat trucks. I feel sorry for the innocent people who got hit by this dude.

MAN! That was better than the movies. Spectacular. That guy was invincible surviving that hail of bullets. He obviously was on something. I can appreciate what those officers went through and how yet they had the compassion to not kill the guy. That's the mark of a true police officer.
They all tried and wanted to kill him, they just had to stop whenever their intentions were too obvious lol.
@@speedybob9119Quit spouting that nonsense, when they fired they all aimed for the tires, the police handled this better than most could have, setting up road blocks and worried about the other civilian by trying to get him out of there

That truck was built tough, ramming all the cars before hitting the cops and still running.

That cross fire had me worried. How this guy survived all those rounds is nothing short of a miracle😧

I'm mostly jk but that was WILD.
It's lucky no one shot each other. What a bunch of apes just shooting willy nilly without thinking about what was on the other side of the car.
What worried me more was that nobody ever once called out, "Watch for crossfire!" It's hard to tell if they were failing to watch for crossfire, because there were so many angles and so many shooters.
Holy Shit! This was intense! Good job to the officer giving orders and getting everyone else calm and on the same page
how on earth did he manage to survive all the bullets fired is beyond me
Bad shots? 🤷🏻♀️

I stood up out of my chair I was so anxious watching that.
let me fix that bad luck
Crossfire had me ducking and rolling around behind my tablet ..😱 🥺 😳
Yeah, I think that's why one of the officers was shouting "No no no" at that moment.
I can't even begin to imagine the giant mess of paperwork this will need to be resolved, not to mention the hours of clean up
and having to fix the patrol cars
I agree. The crime scene tape must be as long as California to NY.
The OIS investigation and report is going to be a novel by the time it’s done. 😅
bro thought he was in GTA V at this point since LAPD
The fact that he survived all that lead tells me that those officers need to spend more time at the range
They probably wasn’t trying to hit him. It’s nothing to do with needing more time at the range.
You can see the shot pattern in the windshield, pretty on point. Glass does really weird things to bullet trajectory and so do metal doors on vehicles.
they weren't trying to hit him 💀

I’m just saying, that looked like a really hard hit
@@jamesdavis8731 well if the police did that, then their lives would be 2% in danger and they definitely can’t have that (sarcasm).
LAPD police officers including the Commander should be back to LAPD Academy for Retrained and lean how to handle the situation and must be Retrained how to shoot "Straight" .
Well the suspect was non white and that’s all you need to know about the current state of affairs in America.
Since he was sitting there they couldn't just shoot. They have to try to talk him out because that's what the public wants.if anything the cops need more shooting time because they missed so many opportunities when they were deploying their firearms.

This video definitely should be used as a training tool on how NOT to handle a situation like this.
this is the wisest opinion so far in the discussion here, thank you.
Totally agree!! Lost count how many times they could've stopped that idiot with ONE cop car giving him a well deserved ram
Literally countless opportunities? How is that possible?
If they hold LEO’s accountable they need to hold Judges and DA’s accountable too.
thank you for your honesty. I totally agree 100% very badly done
