I feel like some of these maps could be replicated in arma quite well (perhaps as part of larger maps since they are all very small) Russian propaganda has some good level design
It’s kinda funny how this game portrayed the Russian naval infantry/marines as unstoppable gigachads considering their current reputation of getting absolutely stomped in Ukraine. The 810th naval infantry brigade for example was one of the main Russian naval infantry units in Syria, and now look at it - got wrecked so hard at Krynky it had to return to Crimea for reorganisation.
That's just real war. At the same time, the Ukrainians will sit back and pretend they didn't lose SEVERAL marine brigades' worth of soldiers. So much so that, by the end of the battle, they were throwing in conscripts that were "marines" in name only.
@@ДмитрийЛайкин-ц7зbuddy they got BTFO’d so hard they had to fuck off to Crimea to recover, long before any plans of turning them into a division materialised. Also, Krinky happened a year after Mariupol. It’s not hard to understand that time is linear and goes in exactly one direction. They took Mariupol, a year later they get sent to fight the Ukrainian landing at Krynky, and get demolished so thoroughly by gigachads like Madyar they run away shitting themselves, completely unable to beat a couple companies of Ukrainian marines. That’s what we call a failure despite your cope.
I love this game, and would really like to see you do the expansions too. The first two missions of Return to Palmyra are, in my opinion, the absolute best the game has to offer, even if the others after it are a bit more of a slog. I haven't started the other DLC yet, but I'll be having a go at some point.
For anyone interested: The music during the sacrifice scene was from a youtuber by the name Grishanov. The name of the song is "Dying but not surrendering". He has an entire music video which ends in a similar manner to the scenario in the game. The music is in-sync with the video.
if you haven't played it, I would recommend World in Conflict: Complete Edition it's a really great rts with great campaign with a good choices of artillery and fire support and intense battles. It's a pretty old game.
"Fox tail, Wolf's mouth" "There are only stars above us" These are the two most memorable phrases from the GRU special forces spoken in the voice of a robot. And yes, I love the Mi-28 helicopters in the last mission. Two flying Rambo blow everyone to smithereens. "Лисий хвост, Волчья пасть" "Выше нас - только звезды" Это две самые запоминающиеся фразы от спецназа ГРУ сказанные голосом робота. И да, обожаю в последней миссии вертолеты Ми-28. Два летающих Рэмбо разносят всех в пух и прах.
About DLC’s The Return to Palmyra is really challenging. REALLY. If in base campaign in 3 or 4-rd mission you gain access to AT squads with ATGM-launchers, in DLC you will get one in final mission, but you will have access to СПГ-9 (basically a buffed version of RPG, that have more ammunition, range of fire and accuracy), that can deal with enemy armor (unless it’s T-72), and in almost every mission you will have a Syrian SpecOp squad, that armed with anti-material rifle and ATGM-launcher. The story is decent, but amount of terrorists forces is equal to Orks hordes in Warhammer. The quality of they’re gun truck is equal too. The Battlefields DLC don’t have it’s campaign, rather it gives you an access to Workshop mission, 2 of them is story driven. Also, in Workshop, they’re few mods that still beings updated to this day and 2-mission campaign, which is basically an old Warfare 2008, but on newer engine, which mean US marines, Abrams and Air forces. It’s fun, but some units dies really quick.
Again i hope rimmy sees this as there is a prequel of sorts called Warfare its old but its the same style but following the US. its a bit old but still just as fun.
Love this game, it's great to hear different prespective of the war especially for the Russians side. Play the DLC, its more chaotic than the main game. Short, the mission available will let you control numerous units.

Honestly i dont know what was the logic behind that law, there no real punishment for not saying it, its litteral "terrorists are bad, mkay?"... tho these people who made this law aka Roskomnadzor are the same who blocked half of internet in russia when tried to block Telegram, at which they eventually give up, as well as now threating Google and RUclips cuz 1 russian propagandist is "not trending on RUclips", wihch is not caused by his unpopularity, cuz alot of folk here hate him or usial bugs of youtube but cuz of evil lizard men sitting in White house and ordering Google to block his progress.
Those folk are not clowns, they are entire circus industry.
Higher ups of google really are lizard bug people though.
Well it's easy. When you everyday reminded that ISIS, Taliban, or something else - is a bad, terrorist force - you are less likely compel to think "well, maybe they are not that bad?"
So what this thing does is just remind you, that yes- they ARE bad. They blow people lulz only, they forcing sharia law, which is kinda barbaric, they cut off heads just for propaganda. So yap, terrorists.
Imagine being a pilot dropping bombs on an enemy position then finding out afterward that it was a suicide strike. That'd fuck some people up for sure.

Daily reminder the CIA never sponsored isis it sponsored other groups that isis anihiliated and took their weapons, you know who actually did sponsor isis? Assad. The Assad regime sponsored ISIS while it was only fighting against the Iraqi goverment, then now it turned on it and Assad has to be rescued.

I love the hell out of this game, I own it myself and have thoroughly enjoyed the way it portrays Russia and Syria's government. A shame no Kurdish fighters were put up as allies in the game, or that the game never had a multiplayer. You should try the really well-done Workshop mods out there, there is a whole total conversion mod for this game that sets it in Japan against North Korea I think.
4:30 yep. You gonna love JTF rimmy.
You are one of the best things to come out of Australia Rimmy, you, Timtams and Paul Hogan
By the way, check out games like Alfa: Antiterror, Paradise Cracked, COPS 2170: The Power of Law and Warfare. All these games were made by MiST Land South studio, aka GFI Russia. And the funny thing is that some people from this studio left and founded the studio Cats Who Play. So it's no surprise that the studio that made the Three Heroes game and the cat simulations decided to make a military strategy game. Old habits.)
Next up we get a racing game about that weird time in 2019/2020 when Russian and US patrols essentially played Mario Card against each other
Just played this mission and had to occupy the buildings to unlock the “Where did those rockets come from?” achievement.

Man i just bought all the dlc because of you I don't know if this game exists and man the game is wild fun
I NEED A FULL VERSION OF THIS 'GOD,SYRIA,AMD BASHAR'

Incredible how a game like this has better dialogues than well known RTSs like Company of Heroes or Call to Arms
Im disappointed Rimmy. The GRUs sounded like Combine Military from Half-Life
I feel like some of these maps could be replicated in arma quite well (perhaps as part of larger maps since they are all very small) Russian propaganda has some good level design
Sorry, if I am not mistaken having watched the video again, does this game use the same assets as ARMA?
Remember to like and comment to appease the almighty algorithm 😁👍🏼
It’s kinda funny how this game portrayed the Russian naval infantry/marines as unstoppable gigachads considering their current reputation of getting absolutely stomped in Ukraine. The 810th naval infantry brigade for example was one of the main Russian naval infantry units in Syria, and now look at it - got wrecked so hard at Krynky it had to return to Crimea for reorganisation.
That's just real war. At the same time, the Ukrainians will sit back and pretend they didn't lose SEVERAL marine brigades' worth of soldiers. So much so that, by the end of the battle, they were throwing in conscripts that were "marines" in name only.
what nonsense you write. They liberated Mariupol. They are so “broken” that they are being reorganized from a brigade to a division.
@@ДмитрийЛайкин-ц7з "Libarated" have you seen any city touched by russas terror bombing? There is nothing left to be liberated.
Silly Rimmy, Russia is capitalistic for the past 30 years.
Oligarchy.
@@imeryakwut6437 So... peak capitalistic?
Most of the Russian economy is state owned, and run by the oligarchs not very "free market" or "Capitalist" for that sake.
Now I actually want to see Dark Docs, Simple History or Yarnhub cover the story of Alexander Prokhorenko's sacrifice.
I WANT TO KNOW MORE DAMNIT!
I like how the game used a recorded history of Weaponized Autism as a mission
Man I’m so happy Rimmy brought this game to light, I think it’s way underrated.
I love this game, and would really like to see you do the expansions too. The first two missions of Return to Palmyra are, in my opinion, the absolute best the game has to offer, even if the others after it are a bit more of a slog. I haven't started the other DLC yet, but I'll be having a go at some point.
For anyone interested:
The music during the sacrifice scene was from a youtuber by the name Grishanov.
"Fox tail, Wolf's mouth"
"There are only stars above us"
These are the two most memorable phrases from the GRU special forces spoken in the voice of a robot.
And yes, I love the Mi-28 helicopters in the last mission. Two flying Rambo blow everyone to smithereens.
"Лисий хвост, Волчья пасть"
"Выше нас - только звезды"
Это две самые запоминающиеся фразы от спецназа ГРУ сказанные голосом робота.
И да, обожаю в последней миссии вертолеты Ми-28. Два летающих Рэмбо разносят всех в пух и прах.
First mission is actually based on real events as well. You can even find the video on youtube

Welcome back to Syrian Warfare
About DLC’s
The Return to Palmyra is really challenging.

You sure your neighbours aren’t asking you to turn that shit up?
I would have asking him to turn that up on max volume.
Again i hope rimmy sees this as there is a prequel of sorts called Warfare its old but its the same style but following the US. its a bit old but still just as fun.
Rimmy plays this inside of a T-72M for full immersion.
Love this game, it's great to hear different prespective of the war especially for the Russians side.
Play the DLC, its more chaotic than the main game. Short, the mission available will let you control numerous units.
who else got this game and still can't complete the first few missions, rimmy makes it look easy
