This is what it means to be a nurse. I have been a nurse for 30+ years. She quarantined from her husband and young child so that she could continue to touch others lives when they were in need. That is worth 10X more to us than any paycheck. God bless you young lady! You are a true inspiration to all nurses and mankind!
Thank you! As an RN for 30 years, that means a lot for us to hear from the doctors! Many walk right past us and never bother to say hello or even learn our names, while we cater to their every need, in addition to caring for our patients. There are many doctors I’ve worked with over the years that I’m on a first name basis with & consider them a friend as well as a colleague, & would do anything for them. The ones who ignore us, treat us like we’re nothing, & don’t take the time to learn our names or get to know us-not so much.
I cared for covid patients on the recovering end as a home health nurse. Even though they were home, they were still sick---very weak, on oxygen, unable to even walk through the house without getting short of breath. Some of them were sent home too soon, and that's how I caught it. It is very real, and was very deadly in the pre-vaccine days. That this nurse sacrificed her time with her baby and husband to care for someone else's husband is what we do, and it's awesome that one of us was recognized for that.
You are a hero Terrie! I have relatives working, and that have been working in the health department. During this pandemic ive lost family and friends. Your words and this video actually made me cry for real for the first time. May the Lord shine on you and all who does good in the world. And thank you all, i needed this!
nurses is voice of a dumb ,hear of a deaf ,eyes of a blind and also movement or mobility of a paralytic . they are incredible personality and devote for their profession and i am proud on their and myself ..................... god bless to all .............................thanks
This nurse is not just a nurse..she is the embodiment of genuine humanity. She is an extra ordinary human being and i hope she and her young family are doing great as she continues in her calling to care for others.
As the father of two RN's, this video makes my heart swell with love and pride. I really love seeing videos like these because a lot of the time, the nurses go unnoticed but the doctors wouldn't be able to do what they do without my daughters and millions of other nurses. God Bless all of you and the work you do!
Nurses ARE the real heroes. I'm the husband of one, the son of one, the brother of one, the father of a CNA. So I know that nurses like Christie are called, and they answer that call.
And if I hear one more person say “none of this was real”…or that “people were not THAT sick”…I’m gonna snap. I work in an ICU in Ohio, on the front line and saw our nurses work their butts off to keep people alive…no extra pay, no recognition…just doing their job. I was proud to be a part of their team. Great story. She deserved this and a thousand times more.
This nurse and others who left their family to save other lives are real Godly live Angels. God is with them. They deserved to be recognized and honored!
Love , Respect , and prayers to all our Frontline Fighters....Thank you 💯💐🙏🏽❣️ Me ; I will never complain again about my 4 day 12 hour forklift operator work schedule !!!
In our family 4 people came down with covid. My wife's sister was in a coma for 4 days after she was admitted to hospital for brain related problems and was dignosed with covid the night before her surgery. They needed to release pressure on her brain. Still not done as the 3rd wave hit us about a month ago. Still sufferi g from severe headaches. Almost like having strokes. I agree people should get a wakeup call as this virus is no joke and kills indiscremanently
When my son was born he almost died and was in NICU. His primary nurse was beyond awesome. He was on a respirator and sedated so he would be comfortable. She kept him so clean and handled him with such care. She talked to him. I gave her a card and little gift but there is nothing I could ever say that would express how much I appreciate what she did for him. I wish her well in life wherever she is.
Nurses do not get the credit or recognition they richly deserve. We verbally appreciate our military, so why don't we agree to extend that appreciation to our nurses who are truly dedicated to those whose paths we cross.
Everyone should be proud of all of the doctors, nurses, EMT's, paramedics, law enforcement and all others that were on the front lines doing their jobs! THANK YOU ALL!
I don't know how they did it. They literally put their lives on the line for strangers. They are beyond awesome. Thanks to them and their families for the great sacrifice.
I agree with you, Texas Weather Enthuzst ❤️ Especially the nurses on palliative care. They were so good to my family, when my late mother was on the unit.
I like her loving encouragement of her patient. “ we love you, we need to hear your voice and you will be healthy again” positive talk, positive approach and in many cases positive results. God bless.
I'm so sorry. My husband's father, a dear friend I grew up with and both her parents and two cousins all died from covid. My sister survived, but her lungs are so scarred she continues to struggle and need oxygen some times. It's sadly all too real
One day to all you nurses who saved patients and worked with them God is going to reward you. To let you know you are in everybody's hearts. We think about you we pray for you everyday. God bless you nurses without you we wouldn't be around
My wife was an RN,and she worked in ICU/CCU. She passed away about 18 years ago. It's great to see this story. It makes me think of my wife. Thank you for what you do.
I've buried 5 people to this pandemic, thank you from the bottom of my heart for those of my family you have saved, and for those who's passing you made easier ❤️
I'm so sorry. My husband lost his father to covid and I lost my best friend from school. People don't comprehend how deadly this virus is. I'm an ER nurse and a mom...I wish I could do something too help you
@Ellie Souza I am so sorry you are at the Frontline of this fight, you all deserve the world! I'm hoping for a future in politics and I can promise you if that happens I'm gonna do everything I can to make sure Healthcare is funded and fully staffed and private companies stay out of it!!!
BIG THANKS TO EVERY SINGLE PERSON THAT WORK IN THE HOSPITALS. JANITORS, FRONT DESK PEOPLE, NURSES, DOCTORS, AMBULANCE DRIVER, ANYONE THAT IS RELATED TO HOSPITALS, ALL ARE HEROES. GOD BLESSED AND TAKE CARE OF YOUR FAMILY.
God Bless you honey! You ARE SO WONDERFUL for giving unselfishly of yourself in the battle against this horrible virus! ALL YOU NURSES are the STARS that fill the HEAVENS!!!
As someone who has been treated by nurses for various medical conditions and who has nurses within my family, I firmly believe that pretty much anyone who wants to be, is in the process of becoming, or is already a nurse is, in my opinion, an angel with wings only a select few can see.
These are the Special Forces of the nurse world! The enemy is behind every tree, fills every nook and cranny. Is all around you, but still you are ready to confront it, fight it with all of your being. You, darlin, are a true American hero!
In 1999, due to severe Ulcerative Colitis, I had to have an Ileostomy done. I got infected and slipped into a coma for two months. Had to be reopened twice and had a near lethal blood clot in my leg. I should have died. Missed my 23rd birthday. I survived somehow...and almost a year later I went back to the floor and visited everyone. Got a big bouquet of flowers for all the nurses. It was pretty emotional. We all promised to never see each other again under these circumstances. The 965 in my nickname was my room number where I woke up from my coma and every year since then, every July 27th, no matter where I am, I raise a shot of whiskey to the surgeon who saved my life,Best wishes to this nurse from Canada.
Beautiful heartwarming story thank you Christy for showing compassion for others bless your heart you deserve the gift you received. God bless you and your family.
She is such a sweetheart, you can tell she really cares. I spent 8 days in Kingwood Medical in Kingwood, Texas in May, 2021, Room 507, for covid. The nurses were fantastic and I told the personnel dept. that when they called.
Nursing is a ministry. My memories will forever live in my heart after 30 years of Nursing....God blessed me with the ability to share in patient's journeys

From a good old southern girl it’s so hard not to hug someone who’s crying. Covid has done one hell of a number on everyone. Still praying for everyone to have help and happiness 🌻🌻🌻
I'll never forget the ICU nurses when my father-in-law passed away. When the family gathered around his bed as they pulled the plug you would have thought the nurses were family. They cried and hugged as much as the real family.
Thank you to all the Frontliners Doctor's Nurse's who are doing their very best just to save patient's with covid illness, God bless you all🙏Keep sAfe and healthy..
May God bless to all the Nurses and Doctors who took care of the sick people. Watching this video makes me so emotional as many never realize how dedicated and caring all nurses is. They deserve better recognition by all. Thanks for sharing such beautiful moving video.
It wasn't just one nurse. All of us in healthcare have sacrificed themselves over the last few years. Under staffed, over worked, exhausted physically and mentally, with very little appreciation from our employers. To all my brothers and sisters out there...you are ALL appreciated and heroes in my eyes.
She very clearly stated that it wasn’t just her. I think that is just common sense though. I think every nurse and Doctor that worked directly with Covid Patients deserves the same award. Since that obviously can’t happen, I am extremely happy they chose this young lady. She’s a true diamond.
When Christie's voice starts to break when she's talking to him....dang. Thank you to her and everyone else through the last almost 2 years who were working in hospitals.

As annRN, I too worked, the front line! So HAPPY FOR THIS FAMILY's TRUE MIRACLE!!!! MAY GOD continue to Bless ALL of them. This nurse is TRULY REMARKABLE!!! A credit to our Profession! ❤❤❤
Being a retired nurse I want to say. She is not just a nurse. She is one in 10 000 of nurses. I do not know her, but I do respect her.
This is what it means to be a nurse. I have been a nurse for 30+ years. She quarantined from her husband and young child so that she could continue to touch others lives when they were in need. That is worth 10X more to us than any paycheck. God bless you young lady! You are a true inspiration to all nurses and mankind!
That is the reason why me as a Doctor, love all my nurses... without her we are nothing.

@RADHA GURJAR thanks a lot for a positive appreciation for nurses community
These unsung heroes are the main backbone of the healthcare system.faisal.
Yes they are so awesome
The federal government calls different workers "heroes" every decade to pander the citizenry into a giant spending budget... watch out for it.
Doctors and nurses; our caregivers. They are underpaid.
This nurse is not just a nurse..she is the embodiment of genuine humanity. She is an extra ordinary human being and i hope she and her young family are doing great as she continues in her calling to care for others.
All the nurses are Angels that God sent us. I wish all the best
That ICU nurse is an awesome person! What a sweetheart. Her husband won the Lottery !
Proof Humanity is still Alive... there is still Hope, Glory be to God. Thank you Nurse Christie!
As the father of two RN's, this video makes my heart swell with love and pride. Happy Father’s Day Mr Irvin🌻 I want to send a special thank you to your daughters for all that they do .
Perhaps exchange your religious brain wash with proper grammar.
@@Pe6ek What "religious brainwash" would you be referring to?
Amen
Bless you, and your daughters.
Thank You!

What an incredible story. This is why health care professionals deserve so many more thanks than they get
Our world needs more stories like this now.
Yes like the nurse

Hi
A nurse with a beautiful heart.
I was fortunate to have a nurse just like her when I was in the ICU for a different reason. We have a very close bond
I am praising to god that this type of lady nurse must be everywhere in hole world.....❤❤
And if I hear one more person say “none of this was real”…or that “people were not THAT sick”…I’m gonna snap. I believe in angels have been looking after good people for hundreds of years. Thank you angel nurse.
All nurses are incredible in their own way, they don't spend years of training and time away from family to care for others.
This should have MILLIONS of views.
Heroes don't think they are. What they do comes naturally. And thank heaven for that.
Is what nurses we do because we love what we do we really care about our patients 🌷🌷❤️❤️❤️
Nurses are true heroes and should earn more appreciation. Great story.
This nurse, Christie is an Angel! God Bless Her!
Hello Sandy
Nurses do not get the credit or recognition they richly deserve. We verbally appreciate our military, so why don't we agree to extend that appreciation to our nurses who are truly dedicated to those whose paths we cross.
There are angel's that walk among us, thank you Lady
Angel of Mercy, sweetheart, unselfish, cute and so out my league.
Everyone should be proud of all of the doctors, nurses, EMT's, paramedics, law enforcement and all others that were on the front lines doing their jobs! THANK YOU ALL!

Am from Texas everybody had too do
Thank you for the kind words, Texas. God blessed me with the only career I ever wanted- nursing! And, I haven't changed my mind 40 years later!
I agree with you, Texas Weather Enthuzst ❤️ Especially the nurses on palliative care. They were so good to my family, when my late mother was on the unit.
Doctors and nurses are some of the most unappreciated and hard working heroes on the planet. Amazing human beings.
When the nurse smile my hole world is smiling with tears ,God bless you
God bless this angel and thousands more like her. There will never be as many of them as we need....even during non Covid times.
Very few people in this world would be so dedicated this woman is a complete angel.
I think there are more than we can imagine. So many stepped up during this Covid ordeal, so thankful to all!
I like her loving encouragement of her patient. “ we love you, we need to hear your voice and you will be healthy again” positive talk, positive approach and in many cases positive results. God bless.
My sister was one of those statistics last year she is now in heaven I don’t wish the pain our family went through on anyone else ever
I'm so sorry. My husband's father, a dear friend I grew up with and both her parents and two cousins all died from covid. My sister survived, but her lungs are so scarred she continues to struggle and need oxygen some times. It's sadly all too real
Thank you Lord for using nurses, doctors for the healing of all who has sick. Bless them Lord, protect, give them strength and wisdom. Thank you. ❤❤❤
Let's hope that 'God' logs on . . to read your message.

ALL YOU NURSES are the STARS that fill the HEAVENS!!!
Bless you for being the calm in the storm
What a wonderful soul. She is the "poster child" of "CLASS". She is deserving of the car, and a lot more.
Nurse means angel, they are the care taker, may god bless them all.
Nurses are called angels but the word nurse doesn’t mean angel.
For the first 13 years of my life, I was in and out of hospitals. Nurses are just amazing, they know how to put people at ease. She has my respect.
As a retired soldier we all thank you and keep up the fight .
As someone who has been treated by nurses for various medical conditions and who has nurses within my family, I firmly believe that pretty much anyone who wants to be, is in the process of becoming, or is already a nurse is, in my opinion, an angel with wings only a select few can see.
Thats what you call a true american soul , Bless you all
It's got NOTHING to do with being 'American" ... but EVERYTHING to do with being a decent, caring and highly trained human being!!
God Bless you Nurse Christie!
These are the Special Forces of the nurse world! The enemy is behind every tree, fills every nook and cranny. Is all around you, but still you are ready to confront it, fight it with all of your being. You, darlin, are a true American hero!
Nurses and medical professionals are heroes. Please…we need to pay them more!!
In 1999, due to severe Ulcerative Colitis, I had to have an Ileostomy done. I got infected and slipped into a coma for two months. Had to be reopened twice and had a near lethal blood clot in my leg. I truly admire all medical staff but nurses are the backbone. They are simply the best. Miracle workers.

You could tell she really needed to hear those words. They definitely helped to heal her soul. Thank you Christie and other Nurses for all that you do
I found myself suddenly hospitalized in 2019 with a LOT of pain.
What affected me most wasn't the technical skill of the nurses.
That's a basic prerequisite that we assume has to be there.
What really moved me was the warmth, the comfort and compassion.
That's what really made the difference.
I feel such gratitude and affection towards nurses.
I bawled!!!! ❤️ im about to start nursing school in the fall and i just pray for the strength to get through the program so i can scarifice the rest of my adult life caring for those in need
