Totally worth the wait! Again, another entertaining and informative presentation. I particularly enjoyed viewing quite a few photos that I had, up until now, not seen of the Mauritania II. Thanks so much, Jamie, for your fine efforts. 😉
A little nomenclature lesson. The correct name for this vessel is simply Mauretania. No II, 2, or Two. The previous vessel had been stricken from the register, so there's no need to differentiate. At the beginning, simply refer to her as the second Mauretania, then Mauretania after that.

My dad served in her as an anti aircraft gunner during WW2.A beautiful ship.
My family sailed on her Aug 63 ,New York to Genoa with a port of call in Gibraltar .
