(I’m probably the most excited for kids out of Vader and Mayo as a pair! It’ll be a great match hopefully! 😍 And oh my gosh, Vader cracked me up when he was breeding Mayo. Like boy, calm down! 😂 And poor Dreamer, she literally was just standing there for a minute like “What about me? You don’t remember me from last year? I just want some love too. 🥺”
Legend: May, Vouge, Daisy, Dinky, Wildee & Tippy (Very excited for Legend’s ladies as well since it is their first time having kids except for May. 🥰)
Everest: Maddie, Made It, Cassie & Lillie
Merle: Dawn & Lodi (I’d personally love to see Merle pair up with Little Bit again.)
Lucky: Elsa
Schillie, Roxy and Sky are going to be bred in the spring from my understanding. Maybe even Ruger and Ray since they most likely have grown quite a bit by then. I also felt a bit bad that Lucky only got Elsa since he’s getting older. (Lucky could maybe breed Sky, Schillie or Roxy later on. Obviously not Ruger or Ray since Lucky is their father.) And poor Elsa in the beginning, Lucky was acting a bit crazy but by the end, both of them love each other. And it’s good that Elsa is a dominant doe that can hold her own and likely can tell Lucky to back off when he needs to calm down. It was also very cute when Elsa was rubbing on him. I’m also awfully curious on how Little Bit changed from when she was the only doe that was bred with only one buck.

I'm excited to see what babies come from Vogue, Lidi, Dinky, and Birdie! I hope they end up getting a lot of does again next year. I had to hold back a laugh when Vader fell down, poor boy. 🤣

Never realized how much work is involved in sorting the goats for breeding! I knew you'd been busy but, wow, so much has been done since your last video. The A-Frames are really cool. Love your soap factory. So great that you can work with your daughter in your soap making. I'm happy that the drought broke and you have lots of green again. Looking forward to more goaty stuff.

BIG shout out to Derek for the hard work on the pens, fences, and A-frames outside, and the beautiful shelving system indoors...especially the Cooling Box! That's one great idea -- bet other soap makers would love to copy it.
Darren, if you have been helping your dad with these projects, take a bow! These are Life Skills that will continue to improve and refine the more you use them. This country needs builders who innovate and improve conditions for goat herds, and carpenters who can create homes with adequate storage!

I felt the same way about Vader when the gals were walking him to his breeding pen. He looked so much bigger: a real stud muffin. He sure has his "hands" busy this season. I hope we get to see more of him in action.
And I hope May has an easier time kidding after being paired with Legend who is a much younger goat. I don't know if that makes any difference or not in the goat world but I hope so. May is one of my favorite goats at Blue Cactus and I feel for her because of her troubled deliveries in the past. And by the time she kids next year, she will be nine (9) years old. Like I said, I don't know much about goats, but Crystal does. And I'm sure she has her goat-children under control.

My mom's a fan of yours and used my phone to watch this and a few others of yours and i must say im so proud of your Blue cactus goat ranch its totally American and im in love but the soaps are sooooo friggin good. My skin is way better since ive been buying your goat milk soap's. I do recommend to purchasers of the soap to keep it in a cool place. Its just better guys especially If you're buying in bulk. Because of all the blue cactus varieties, you'll buy more trust me. I tend to buy different soaps because the soaps are so gentle on sensitive skin. Guys honestly the prices are way worth it and you are supporting an American business who is knowledgeable about great skin care. Just trust me the soap smells amazing and rinses fast off the skin without that residue feeling you get from most body washes even! Give yourself a relaxing wash with one of these soaps. It's like giving yourself a spa day! Enjoy the scents of an organic soap.

I really like your set up, for the goats living quarters, your milking system you have and your soap set up. So well thought out, nicely constructed and extremely practical. Still areas you can tweak but like anything, learn better, easier ways to achieve the final goal as you experience. Love the total family operation, everyone has skin in the game so has success and profit to own. If ever I had to choose where to learn how to run a business with milking/breeding/showing goats, I would jump on Blue Cactus's wagon in a heart beat. Thank you for sharing and being so informative. Trivia: there is a strain of Heirloom Watermelon called 'Moon and Stars' --- said to be very tasty!
