"It took a muscle tear .." Or perhaps the prospect of facing Djokovic, against whom winning a match outside clay has been a problem for Nadal for almost a decade.
@@ashb001 Bro what?! You think he is dropping out of Wimbledon bec he doesn’t want to play Novak? He just beat him at the French and in his current form could have beaten Novak at Wimbledon too. Not to mention the prospects of completing the calendar slam.

Zverev could literaly do the worst drop shot ever and won the point, seeing how much Nadal was from baseline. Tennis isnt just power, first is about inteligence
In pespective, phsicologically speaking it was a good thing (for zverev) to lose the first set that was his for the taking (the 2 set points wasted on his serve while 6-3 up were both on his racket), because when the injury arrived the score was 7-6 and 6-6 Nadal....and i can guarantee that it would have hurt much more if the score was 7-6 6-6 Zverev.
I don't think Zverev thought he was out of the match. Everybody in the stadium knew that there could be only one victor that day, regardless of injury.
It took a muscle tear to finally stop Rafa's grand slam journey at Wimbledon.

Man the court is enormous. Gives Rafa time and space to chase down almost anything and create angles that shouldn't be possible.
What a great perspective! How far he stands behind the baseline and still manages to create that much power is amazing to me

No se ve un carajo.
Nadal stands so far back, why not just underarm it lol
If it was easy players would have done it. Ball bounces high on clay and Nadal moves well, must be hit to perfection to have a chance.
