Nadal Dominates Djokovic RG 2022 QF - Full Video
Nadal rose to the occasion during his 59th meeting against Djokovic in the 2022 RG QF and delivered a stunning and dominant performance. Djokovic made a tremendous effort to recover in set 2 after a 3-0 lead, and Nadal saved 2 5th points set on Djokovic's serve. The match was a true wonder with exceptional tennis played by both players at 35 and 36 years old respectively. Some say that this was a true final of Roland Garros, the match did not disappoint and finished after 1AM and 4 hours 12 minutes. This was the first match ever where the cumulative number of single slams from both players was 41.I have put together this video from footage I recorded with my phone. #roland #frenchopen #rg...

Nadal Djokovic - RG2022 QF - Nadal FH DTL

The now famous 59th contest between Nadal and Djokovic started on May 31st and ended on June 1st. Nadal came off the blocks with a super agressive mindset using his forehand down the line (FH DTL) to prevent Djokovic from dictating the game. Nadal won this contest in 4 sets. #nadal #rafa #rafaelnadal #rafanadal #djokovic #nole #novak #frenchopen #rolandgarros #2022 #quarterfinal #qf #2022 #goat

During his final against Ruud, Nadal had a particularly solid backhand with which he was able to take the ball early and attack Ruud on FH side (strong side). Some footage I took on June 5th 2022 during Nadal's 14th French Open victory (22 majors in total). #rafa #nadal #ruud #backhand #rolandgarros #frenchopen #rg2022 #final

Rafa Nadal - 1st Full Match practice - Roland Garros 2022
It looks like a game from this height and angle
Who is he practicing with?
Maunar!
Rafa's gauyest backhand ever
I don't think Nadal has any chance of winning US Open. I feel Djokovic will win 22nd GS.
Sure
Unbelievable Bazooka Backhand winner!💪
Nole may end up winning more slams, but 14 RGs is going to stand forever. It's not comprehensible how anyone can win THAT difficult a tournament 14 times. If you've played on european clay, and understand the physicality behind it, and strategy, you'll know what it is. It is THE most difficult tournament in the tennis universe to win.
Fully agreed and Nadal has won RG in different ways: with an indefectible FH indeed but with better defence at times, with a stronger offensive clay court game, sometimes battling against odds, but most of the time the overwhelming favorite. People can debate about notion of GOAT, but this 14RG (and counting) is the greatest of any sport achievements!
This viewing angle tells you what a massive court area PC has. Makes Rafa's achievements on this court seem even more other wordly
I have absolutely no clue why doesn't any of Nadal opponents take advantage of him placing so far back in the court when he receives serve
Easier said than done (tennis players thinking)
@@am22pm90 underarm serve isn't that hard I guess, is it?
@@PanMarhewa is that the key to beating Rafa at the French? Feed him underarm serves?
@@jlwebster9 didn't say that. I imagine that giving a few underarm serves would put pressure on Rafa not to stay so far away from baseline, what will eventually make it harder for him to receive stronger serves
FHDTL is nadals most important tool in his match up vs Djokovic which has sucked since 2013.
magic moment !
Same shot as the final point vs Novak
Disgusting crowd
This could've been match od the decade, pity
Wow you can really hear the cheering from the fans,if you’re the opponent you really must have a mindset to be able to fight hiim
Nadal.
Único el rafa
Wow!! Live reaction I don’t get to hear this on Tv! Thank You for the post!
The best player tennis of the wordl ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Last shot eerily similar to last shot against Djokovic in the quarters.
That one eye look towards his crew and family is my favourite and it has now become a signature of rafa
Zverev could literaly do the worst drop shot ever and won the point, seeing how much Nadal was from baseline. Tennis isnt just power, first is about inteligence
Rafa would have chased it
@@kathrynisach7259 he definitely would, but even if he could catch up the ball, that would be an easy volley
Too short!!
In pespective, phsicologically speaking it was a good thing (for zverev) to lose the first set that was his for the taking (the 2 set points wasted on his serve while 6-3 up were both on his racket), because when the injury arrived the score was 7-6 and 6-6 Nadal....and i can guarantee that it would have hurt much more if the score was 7-6 6-6 Zverev.
I don't think Zverev thought he was out of the match. Everybody in the stadium knew that there could be only one victor that day, regardless of injury.
Would be better if the damn pop up didn’t block half of the actual video
Fixed.
14 titles in 18 appearances - double the amount that Chris Evert (who holds the record for the most singles title in the women's game) and 8 more than Bjorn Borg (who held the record in the men's game before Rafa). I hold his body holds up that he can get to 25 Grand Slam singles titles and bypass Margaret Court's record. Long live the King.
It is so insane this dude destroys all his rivals playing at this level
Nadal stands so far back, why not just underarm it lol
If it was easy players would have done it. Ball bounces high on clay and Nadal moves well, must be hit to perfection to have a chance.
No se ve un carajo.
What a great perspective! How far he stands behind the baseline and still manages to create that much power is amazing to me
why can't i eliminate the pop ups that appear in the last few seconds of all videos???? It gets right in the way. Very frustrating!!
Removed.
Perhaps CA will be considered as great some day, but I don't think so. A skinny kid from Italy with a one handed backhand just defeated Carlos Alcaraz in a final on clay.
It is so much more exciting to be there and see it for yourself. Your phone cam footage gives me the feeling of being there in the crowd with you. Thank you. Nadal Is The KING!
He’s so exciting to watch !
The King Of Clay shows us why he is The King Of Clay. Nadal Is My Champion!
It all seems so fast from this angle and camera.Nice,though.
Rafael Nadal unbeatable tennis star.
The crowd were one of the worst crowds booing between 1 st and 2 nd serves and even when novak entered the stadium
Most of the crowd cheered for Nadal yes, and a few isolated booed Djokovic early on! That does not mean overall the crowd did not behave well!
No one likes arrogant novak
@@am22pm90 no the overall crowd was pro nadal
Man the court is enormous. Gives Rafa time and space to chase down almost anything and create angles that shouldn't be possible.
I love Rafa for his humble attitude and generosity. See how he stopped to take a picture with those ball kids who waited on him? Even when someone tried to stop him. That’s class my friend. Him, Nole and Roger never forgets the kids who look up to them.
No other tennis player can dominate on a surface like Nadal... 14 finals for 14 wins...no one comes close...A record that will NEVER be broken...
Rafa packed his bags. Wow super cute
It took a muscle tear to finally stop Rafa's grand slam journey at Wimbledon.
It took zverev’s ligament tear to finally save Nadal
@@babu4250 he was winnig?! 😆
@@babu4250 from what?
"It took a muscle tear .." Or perhaps the prospect of facing Djokovic, against whom winning a match outside clay has been a problem for Nadal for almost a decade.
@@ashb001 Bro what?! You think he is dropping out of Wimbledon bec he doesn’t want to play Novak? He just beat him at the French and in his current form could have beaten Novak at Wimbledon too. Not to mention the prospects of completing the calendar slam.
Wow look at the depth of Djoker's shots though
This clip only works if you adjust the end-screen or leave it out entirely.
You are absolutely right, will remove it
A humble Champion. Nadal Is The KING!
Just some good love to Nadal. Rafa was so focused for this match and it showed. Nadal Is The KING!
Now I can really see how far nadal stands...
I know, eh? I knew he stood far back...but never really could picture just how far back. That is just insane. Standing that far back and still being able to cover the angles is very difficult.
I mean, just imagine a Rafa without all this injuries. He even beat Taylor fritz injured. Someone like novak would give up immediately
Novak won australian open 2021 playing for weeks and all that time he had the same injury in the tournament like Rafael with Taylor. Have more information next time when you put your opinions
Novak's abdominal tear was 25mm when he won Aussie open while Rafa's was 7mm when he retired
@@a.s1469 at nov. the novak movie will be out and we will see exactly wat happened with injurie with all the facts 🙂🙂
LOL. Djokovic straight-setted Medvedev in AO with a 30mm abdominal tear.
Nadal can LITERALLY only beat Djokovic on clay. hasn’t taken a set off him on HC since 2013. 2013! Nadal is a clay court merchant and has less titles outside of his favourite slam than Djokovic. He’s won 75% of his titles on a surface played 25% of the time. Djokovic is the much better player overall
Wsfuiy6rsopt
This win, over Novak, was in the works for the past 12 months. Once he lost, in 2021, I knew he would not lose, again, to Novak Djokovic. I waited and waited. This one felt so good to me. Thank you, Rafa, for regaining your Kingdom and Crown.
