I am a professional lighting designer and I work on the touring company of Dear Evan Hansen. Thanks for explaining how wonderful the design is to a very specific sense! We all really appreciate it! Also, fun fact you would love to know, the scene “You Will Be Found” is actually 1 cue. Everything was programmed with MIDI so it goes with the music, so our board operators only have to press GO once during that scene!
Board operators press go once but there are still many cues I would assume, they’re just being fired by midi not the operator. Otherwise that’s a really complicated cue, likely impossible without macro wizardry. I assume the orchestra is getting timecode then?
thank you! glad to know there are other lighting people who'd like this! (in the meantime, I do have a light show on my other channel @KristinMikles if you're interested) -kristin

Jacob Zamarripa curios if this ever goes in unexpected ways? Any nights you get a somewhat “special” cue stack? 😂
