hi am new to mini just bought Mini Cooper sd convertible it has had angle eye lights fitted in the lower bumper that's replaced the fog lights but there is a bulb that shows up on the clock is there any way to get it off if you could help in any way would be appreciated thanks.
Depends on how they are fitted - I fitted some after market halo lights on a Cooper S and had a similar issue - part of the problem is you have to tap into an existing power wire going to a headlight and this effects the resistance - to explain - the car's ECU does a resistance reading on the light circuits on start up. Filament light bulbs have a known resistance so this is a good test. If you change the circuit by adding another buld you change the resistance and confuse the ECU. LED lights are very low resistance which is the reason why they are not suitable for cars not designed for them.
There are 2 different diesel engines in the R56 Mini - the pre-facelift (LCI) car has the Peugeot based 1560cc engine which has a cambelt. The later post facelift car has the BMW based diesel as found in the 116d and other BMWs and is chain driven. Clutches are a 6 to 8 hour job plus parts.
Yes I have the name engine 1.6 desal the reason I asked about clutch is it operates ok but don't bite till it gets near the top is this normal
if the clutch bite is high then most likely it has not much life left.

are they chane driven and would it cost to change clutch if it went
