I am currently playing a Nosferatu. My character is by far the youngest vampire in the city, as his embrace took place at a time where he was undergoing the change in game. Before his embrace, he was an undercover Narcotics agent, and as a result has considerable stroke with both sides of the law. Lots of fun.
Marcus Gaudry Your Nos sounds awesome and I bet he'd get along with my LARP Nos, Kyra. She's one of the babies too and she's got this crazy revenge plot after the Elders of her home city Deablerized her sire unjustly (at least that's how she sees it!) I could use awesome Nos like yours sounds like haha!
Every clan likes to claim the big names for themselves. Just a few weeks ago I heard a ravnos, a brujah, a tszmisce and a malkavian arguing about Dracula all claiming that he was really a member of their own clan. Well except for the malk, she insisted that Dracula was a setite.
I just want to say, I LOVE all of your videos. You are very thorough and give detail into the story as opposed to just the mechanics. I saw that you did a clan video for the Followers of Set, which is really cool, and in that video, you mentioned the Serpents of the Light, which is excellent, but the Serpents as opposed to the Setites are completely different clans with completely different pre-requisites for their childer, and completely different belief systems. Would it be too much to ask for you to do maybe a spinoff video delving further into the Serpents of the Light and their history, belief systems, and views?
A Cleopatra is the term for someone vain and hedonistic and snobbish possibly a womanizer a uncharitable person that is embraced Nosferatu. Their career is irrelevant.
I need to get another one of these videos up. You might actually have more of these up now than I do. Such a great job with the history of the clan. I also thought you did a great job talking about how the recently embraced looks so odd. I think that's good fodder for players.
I ran a brilliant Nosferatu Artist, well he could also help in construction and other crafting work, but also was a fine sculpture and ticked off the Toreador to no end placing genius sculptures all over the city for sale, as gifts to the public and such making the Toreador seek the master to embrace. Eventually they did find out and well were shocked, one or two frenzied after owing the artist myself boons for information leading to himself as the genius and found the whole affair amusing. I got serious clan prestige after that fiasco that lasted nearly two years of playing the game.
Disciplines develop in the blood over time. It doesn't take long for the basic to appear, although some Disciplines need to be taught, such as Thaumaturgy and Necromancy.
@huud007 The Nosferatu are one of the few clans that didn't undergo some radical overhaul into revised. They were pretty much perfect from night 1 of the game.
Ahh, this was very good... needed a good vampire video to sink my teeth into. The only thing that makes my eyes roll with Nosferatu is the amount of people who go with that name (or a poorly spelt variant) when playing characters online. Definitely give this video a fangs up! :)
Hello. I would love u to exsplain how to be the best harpya : (dunnu the english term) the gossiper. Im larping it and did not realy find a exsplain that i could understand so easily as ur videos
@Luxpulcher There are many rumours and tales, but how many of them are true? A Tzimisce can fleshcraft a Nosferatu to look beautiful but his work always reverts itself back to normal monstrosity after a while, unless he's made the Nosferatu look worse.
I've never played a Nosferatu, mostly because I was unsure of how to properly play one when I started, but I've grown a respect for them. Of any clans they've probably been the most helpful and useful to my coterie, at a price of course but no ones ever helpful for free.
As far as I know Baba jaga is not a Niktuku, she is actually the "true" founder of the Nosferatu, her sire is simply the one responsible for them. Also, are their plans to include the Laibon Guruhi? It is suggested that they either have an own Antideluvian related to the first Nosferatu or are a bloodline of Nosferatu themselves.
@23penguins32 In Requiem the Nosferatu even have a discipline called Nightmare. In Masquerade they're more about skulking hidden horrors than being in-your-face fright fests.
@clackclickbang Ventrue, from what (admittingly little) I've read... would make an interesting video, or Gangrel? It's like picking those "Options" hot chocolate sachets in the supermarket, so many flavours...
Clans of Vampires such as the Toreador normaly pick a mortal. Its not like they just walk out and grab a random person. They watch said person for some time and chose them. So they pick people with simular mindset but they also pass on the clans powers and flaws at the time of the transformation. When sired they depleat the human of blood then let them drink there own. The human gos through a painful transformation peroid in wich they become vampes. Then there sir must teach them the ways.
What is that website that you mentioned for the Nosferatu clan intel? I'd love to see it! I attend a bi-weekly Vampires The Masquerade LARP where I'm currently one of only two standing Nos in the city!
I am a major fan of Malks. Twisted little minds. They can be humorous. Or they can be harrowing. A lot of people play them with a degree of silliness. But in a world where controlling someone is the only true measure of strength, a creature who can't be controlled is truly unsettling.
@clackclickbang Favorite Batman villain: Scarecrow Favorite Metal Gear Villain: Psycho Mantis Favorite Vampire clans: Nosferatu, Malkavian, Mekhet. Favorite D&D class: Rogue and/or Illusionist I sense a pattern... Though I'm usually running a game rather than playing in it. My poor players!
Correct me if i'm wrong but, wasn't there some mentioned relation between the Nosferatu's monstrous countenance curse and the Tzimisce? Been aeons since i've looked into WoD and the whole mythology of it was really "patchwork", so i may be mistaken.
dunno if you ever got your answer but ebay or some old book stores, the book is out of print and if you go to a hobby store that caters to gamers it might be a lil pricey. best bet is online.
Hey, GG. We're gonna play a Vampire game that's set around the 1900s, because we like the sort of 'transitional stage' that the world was in at that time. And recently I've decided I'm gonna make a Nosferatu. Not only a Nosferatu, but a Nosferatu that LOVES what he is. Like, he thinks of his form as being complete honesty about what he is. He kind of embraces being this apex predator. Anyway, I was gonna have him use really weird language when he talks, like he can 'see' your disgust pushing out of your tear ducts, or he can hear what you truly believe when he opens an artery and lets the blood hit the ground. But do you think that this would be too much like a Malkavian? I just wanted to portray him like one of those people who can 'smell' or hear colors, or they can 'see' sounds. Anyway, what do you think?
Not him, but I think that could work...the transition into a Nosferatu would be pretty damn invasive and could easily fracture someone's mind. Particularly someone who held their looks in high esteem initially...someone like a bohemian poet who looks like Jim Morrison or even a model for example, to suddenly have their looks shredded within a couple days could cause severe mental disorders. Consequently, the transitional phase you're describing would have been the industrial revolution (the end of the 19th and opening of the 20th century), or more specifically the Machine Age en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Machine_Age Ended largely with the onset of the atomic age when we created the transistor and nuclear energy. Also, the disorder you're describing is Synesthesia, the mixing of different senses, so people who will "see" colors associated with certain tastes or sounds...you see it a lot in the psychedelic community, a lot of people who have taken LSD or 'magic' mushrooms will experience synesthesia.
I should be working, but I ended up watching this instead. Worth noting: the Nosferatu clan book says that none of the Niktuku ever embraced, that all of the clan are descended from the Matron, a woman their antediluvian embraced in the heat of passion, who managed to escape. It also says that, while he was scarred by Zillah during their first encounter, he wasn't cursed until after his attempt to kill Zillah; an attempt that was executed prematurely because of his rage at the Matron's escape.
My first Vampire session on a convention was one as Nosferatu. Interesting clan but VERY hard to play if you ask me. Challenging. If I ever (I'm GM'ing vampire mostly) be a player character, Nosferatu will be my clan.
@clackclickbang Garry is the leader of the Nosferatu in Vampire The Maquerade: Bloodlines.. a pc game, quite interesting and amusing character indeed.. By the way.. Hi, amazing job, congrats from Chile ;)
Hey. I was looking at online forums and having problems coming up with an answer for a rules question. I just picked up Hive-minded. When ghouling insects, how specifically does it work? ×/× insects to blood ratio. One bug per how many blood, or vice versa? Thought that this would be a good place to ask. I wanted to send in small groups of them to spy on others in the chronicle. Also playing in St Petersburg Russia in about 1350 if it gives any further scope.
Thanks for the replies. I was just wondering for example what happens when a Gangrel for whatever reason embraces someone that has no ties to nature at all and is very much a city person. How would the Gangrel's stereotype conflict with the mortal's nature etc.
Aha, my favorite clan! Both in Masquerade and Requiem. Given my affinity for the Autumn Court in Changeling, I guess I just really like skulking horrors. But I'm also a huge fan of clan Nosferatu's most famous member. No, it's not Max Schrek as Count Orlok! It's Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins.
I'm watching all of these vids because I'm really interested in the WoD after playing the Bloodlines game, just ordered 20th anniversary edition as well. Great vids, really informative and well spoken. There's one thing about the whole clan thing though, how does that work when a mortal is sired? Like do you get turned by a Toreador and you suddenly gain their clan traits? Or do they look for humans with the same mindset?
Bdw, Do you have any idea when you'll start the let's play series of bloodlines? You didn't exactly ask me, but your next clan video should be setites... :-P
I'm running a new world of darkness game online where there is an NPC possessed by a demon 2 mages 2 nosferatu and a werewolf disk I mention one nosferatu is a serial killer and the other is an undertaker who examines the victims of the other nosferatu the only people that know each other are a. Mage and werewolf who found the possessed beaten up in the road. I'm having a real blast running the game.
Just imagine if Vampires have orchestrated the release of not only the Vampire RPG but novels as well to discredit any talk and or sightings of them.
What if you played a Nosferatu that likes to play classic World of Darkness as a Toreador?
@@Muykle That actually sounds kinda sad.
That seems more like a Technocracy thing.
Nosferatu is my favourite clan. Despite the beauty of the Toreador, playing as a Nosferatu grants hours and hours of fun! ;)
I am currently playing a Nosferatu. My character is by far the youngest vampire in the city, as his embrace took place at a time where he was undergoing the change in game. Before his embrace, he was an undercover Narcotics agent, and as a result has considerable stroke with both sides of the law. Lots of fun.

I enjoyed this series greatly, You done us Nossies proud.
Wait... so does that make it possible that the sea monster in Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines you hear refered to could infact be Antediluvian?
A wonderful quote, especially relevant when considering the Nosferatu.
Every clan likes to claim the big names for themselves. Just a few weeks ago I heard a ravnos, a brujah, a tszmisce and a malkavian arguing about Dracula all claiming that he was really a member of their own clan. Well except for the malk, she insisted that Dracula was a setite.
Such pitiful things squabbling over such an obvious matter is both amusing and disappointing. As if I'd belong to any of their kind.
Keep Dracula Tzimisce, Yaga was ours. 🤘
This fills me with so much pride for my clan , your words truly put us in the light we deserve
I just want to say, I LOVE all of your videos. You are very thorough and give detail into the story as opposed to just the mechanics. I may do so, but I'm currently concentrating on Requiem. Thanks for the kind words though!
I role played my nossie as a cleopatra. Cleopatra is a term for an actress that's embraced as a Noseferatu I believe
A Cleopatra is the term for someone vain and hedonistic and snobbish possibly a womanizer a uncharitable person that is embraced Nosferatu. Their career is irrelevant.
When you said "actors", I instantly thought of Garry : D
A clan nosferatu video, I'm so excited!
Wow. Fantastic video, very informative and well narrated.
I need to get another one of these videos up. You might actually have more of these up now than I do. Such a great job with the history of the clan. I also thought you did a great job talking about how the recently embraced looks so odd. I think that's good fodder for players.
@whowantsabighug Thank you for your very kind words.
I ran a brilliant Nosferatu Artist, well he could also help in construction and other crafting work, but also was a fine sculpture and ticked off the Toreador to no end placing genius sculptures all over the city for sale, as gifts to the public and such making the Toreador seek the master to embrace. MORE! I need these videos to keep my beast at bay!
In Chicago at once time had a Nosferatu Prince.
@Komeister I've been playing it for a while, but I'm not sure when to upload. Setites, eh? An interesting prospect..
You're a very eloquent speaker, i really enjoy your videos.
@Komeister Especially challenging if you eschew Obfuscate. I often do.
Disciplines develop in the blood over time. It doesn't take long for the basic to appear, although some Disciplines need to be taught, such as Thaumaturgy and Necromancy.
@TemplarsCrusade01 Thanks!
@woodwwad I'm probably going to tackle Setites or Ventrue next.
@neotetsuo07 Thank you for the compliment and info!
For further material, listen to Mussorgsky - The Hut of Baba Yaga !
Excellent!
Thank you!
@huud007 The Nosferatu are one of the few clans that didn't undergo some radical overhaul into revised. They were pretty much perfect from night 1 of the game.
Good choices.

Thank u for the answer
And kinda miss clicked when i droped the phone cant se the reply
Nosferatu is best clan.
Agreed.
Kevin Dunn Definitely one of my personal favorites.
Malkavians aren't going to have a hand in the end times. While everyone else loses their shit, the Nosferatu will be plotting. Waiting.
But since the Malkavians have already lost their shit.. well... ;)
Malkavian is best clan, but almost no one plays them right.
#TooManyFishMalks
Not going to lie. I turned the lights on around 6:00
@Luxpulcher There are many rumours and tales, but how many of them are true? A Tzimisce can fleshcraft a Nosferatu to look beautiful but his work always reverts itself back to normal monstrosity after a while, unless he's made the Nosferatu look worse.
Your physical description of a Nosferatu makes me a little sick, which is AWESOME!

The Gentleman Gamer That might be difficult.

Thanks!
@MeesterWolf99 I'm going for Ventrue or Setite, I think.
@clackclickbang Ventrue, from what (admittingly little) I've read... would make an interesting video, or Gangrel?
It's like picking those "Options" hot chocolate sachets in the supermarket, so many flavours...
@GARYUKIP Indeed; the Nosferatu have many origin tales.
@Onionkid99 So who's your favourite Batman villain? The Scarecrow??
It's quite possible. But who can say about the master of Obfuscate?
Yes!
Yes.
Hmmm do you think the Tzimisce and Antribitu Nosferatu could possibly get along? The Tzimisce often willingly make themselves hideous afterall....
Clans of Vampires such as the Toreador normaly pick a mortal. Its not like they just walk out and grab a random person. They watch said person for some time and chose them. Ahhh Nosferatus the least fun loking clan to play with first but when you get to know them more thy become one of the best fun XD
The nosfurator in the role games years ago only in writings back and forth. Were always mentioning books. This description is creepy😅
I don't play/write anymore but this guy is entertaining.
The Setites love you.
@SirPercivalGallant Sounds like a rather fantastic character!
ah always had a soft spot for the Nosferatu, but have to say, Brujah is the rebel in me! ; ) Great vid as usual chap.
What is that website that you mentioned for the Nosferatu clan intel? I'd love to see it! I attend a bi-weekly Vampires The Masquerade LARP where I'm currently one of only two standing Nos in the city!

@Kretek Is that so? Now I know!
@hammeredshitsteak Nope, my playthrough is as a Nosferatu.
@Samwise7RPG There's one of them in New York!
Correct me if i'm wrong but, wasn't there some mentioned relation between the Nosferatu's monstrous countenance curse and the Tzimisce? Been aeons since i've looked into WoD and the whole mythology of it was really "patchwork", so i may be mistaken.
Your videos are really interesting and awesomely in depth very well done i was wondering if you knew were to get the clan book set?
dunno if you ever got your answer but ebay or some old book stores, the book is out of print and if you go to a hobby store that caters to gamers it might be a lil pricey. best bet is online.
@MeesterWolf99 Wunderba! Any preference for the next clan I visit?
Well vampires started as humans, and they still have perception of what is physically ugly or beautiful.
@23penguins32 Welcome to the house of fun!
@Demolitiondude Cock Robin is a rather decent Nosferatu Justicar too.
@Burori1 Garry?
@Azartusfar Oh good!

I never had a chance to play one, but they were interesting. I am still trying to create a character who would fit in that clan.
so...someone else besides me knows who Charles Atlas is...was our dad obsessed with the guy too?
@radewi1 I do particularly like the Nosferatu.
I should be working, but I ended up watching this instead.

Definitely.
@boltorange Less said about Skaven the better. I hear rumour they're tunnelling beneath my house.
Nosferatu & Antitribu Disciplines are the SAME.
Animalism.
Potence.
Obfuscate.
My first Vampire session on a convention was one as Nosferatu. Interesting clan but VERY hard to play if you ask me. Challenging. If I ever (I'm GM'ing vampire mostly) be a player character, Nosferatu will be my clan.
Probably a wise idea.
@Onionkid99 I can agree with you on all of those!
They are indeed role-playing.
Someone still active here? Could a Nosferatu 'hire' a Tzimisce to flesh craft him a little?
They could, but the following night their curse would make them look even more hideous than before.
@@TheGentlemanGamer shoot, that’s crazy you’re still checking the comments here

@tetsubo57 Aww. I doubt it.
@AnticsFrantic I take my time but I deliver.
I would probably end up looking pretty much like I do now...

my nos the cleaner for my prince I drive around takeing care of issues hes is the only one that can call me I am always wearing a wire so I can learn
Apparently not. Tzimisce tried to alter the appearance of Nosferatu. It made him worse.
