I am introducing you to the clans and bloodlines of vampires that exist within the world of darkness. In this episode I showcase the Nosferatu, one of the most cursed clans. They suffer with a physical deformity that makes them hideous to look at. But they are excellent spies, finding out information and using it to make them one of the most important members of the kindred. If you seek some information, a nosferatu will more then likely know it or be able to find it out for you.

Nosferatu are among the most interesting clans ever written!
They have an interesting fluctuation between malevolence and benevolence, with a superbly complex social structure that may well hold surprises for the end of time.
And their nature as the stereotypical spymasters makes them a welcome asset in every group!

Daedalus from the show Kindred The Embraced embodied the clan lore well IMO

I don't believe Baba Yaga was truly defeated the way the books say she was. Ravana gets a literal nuke and blasted by concentrated reflected sunbeams AFTER an enormous epic battle, but Baba Yaga gets killed off screen? Nope. I don't buy it. It's probably just an elder level Obfuscate Discipline power she used to make people think she's gone so she can operate in shadows now that her enemies have revealed themselves. Or maybe it was Thaumaturgy she used because she is stated out as one of the more powerful blood sorcerers with 9 Thaumaturgy.

The possibility exists. Though the one that was fighting her was the 4th gen Nictuku Vasilisa. The Nictuku were breed to kill off the Nosferatu. So it is hard to say if she did manage to escape into hiding or not. They were both 4th gens. Vampires that powerful are notoriously hard to get rid of, though. I'd like to agree with you that she escaped, or if she didn't I would like to either have a little more information on the epic fight, or even what trick may have been used to overcome her. We just don't know enough. Maybe a power that combines Thaumaturgy 9 and Obfuscate 9 could have saved her, some kind of epic combo ability.

The Dracovin Empire it just felt like lazy writing, and even if it is the truth for the canon meta-plot I will forever ignore it.

Perhaps their differing capabilities are the very result of innately being of different generations.
Ravana/Dracian/Zapathasura was a 3rd Generation Antediluvian, and with level 9/10 Fortitude! And may have even been able to use Chimerstry illusions as physical defense!
Baba Yaga is/was "just" a 4th Generation Methuselah, though Potence CAN be used for defense on high levels...

I honestly think the image of Baba Yaga's death sums it all up...The Vasilisa is a monster even for a 4th Gen we don't even know what the hell it is if it is a Nictuku or something more, it says it has "Transcended disciplines" it's probably the oldest methuselah in the whole WOD.
The picture of the Vasilisa as a child staring almost bored and dejected stepping into Baba Yaga's vitae as she meets final death says it all about how unmatched Baba Yaga was, the Vasilisa had no sign of damage or stress, it looked like the battle was as simple as the Vasilisa just yawning as she stares into the 4th Generation Baba Yaga's eyes as she turns into nothing.
Whatever the case, that image sums the battle in one true word: "Easy" and all Nosferatu know that survival should be higher for no matter how scary Baba Yaga was, how revered her name was for every other Cainite who shook in fear of her name, there's always a bigger badder threat, Montano (First Childe of Lasombra knew about that fact) Baba Yaga found out the hard way when she turned against her clan's values of hiding to survive and placed the shadow curtain around Russia revealing her location to the Vasilisa who made quick work of the old witch.

Such an interesting approach to the clan, I am a beginner in VTM and this explanation helped me understand better the clan I chose to play. Thank you

Defintiely my favorite clan! I prefer the more bestial depiction of vampires over the suave seducers. :)

I wonder what the general nosferstu feels about thinbloods. Another kind of exiled group pushed to the side.

They probably have some of the same stigma, something you just can't get away from, but they would be more willing to look past that and accept them because of their own problems. Then again, it is up to each individual. Their are some proud Nodferatu that would definately look down on them.

If you are going to do a video of this, should you know how to pronounce these names?
