For the Tangzhong:
All-Purpose Flour 1 tbsp.
Water 1/2 cup
For the Asado Filling:
Oil
Garlic 4 cloves
Onion 1 pc.
Meat 1 kilogram
Sugar 3/4 cup
Soy Sauce 1/4 cup
Salt 2 tsp.
Pepper 1 tsp.
Laurel 3 pcs.
Star Anise 1 pc.
Water 1 cup
For the Slurry:
Cornstarch 1/4 cup
Water 1/4 cup
For the Siopao Sauce:
Soy Sauce 1/2 cup
Sugar 1 1/4 cup
Cornstarch 1/2 cup
Pepper 1/4 tsp.
Water 4 cups
