This program is heart warming. The kids are awesome. Sometimes we forget that they're part of the Christian family. Keep the faith kids & thanks for the questions.
I am a silent admirer. I've never commented till now. Maximum respect to this one. I will relisten this thrice and look forward to reflecting your skill to my own children. 🙏
When answering the question about whether God is putting thoughts in our head or if we are thinking our own thoughts, I would also add (as a warning) that the Devil can also put thoughts in our head. It is up to us to decide which "voice" to listen to and follow. When we do the good (ex. decide to talk to a classmate who is lonely), we are following God, but, when we do the bad (ex. push/fight with others), we are not following God. Kids feel upset, frustrated, angry, and jealous, too, so it would be wrong to let them think that thoughts compelling them to react badly to a situation (ex. throwing a tantrum or hurting someone) are from God.
Listening to you both talk with children and each other really does demonstrate why, its so important for me to be familiar with the stories of our bible. I learned a lot in this Q n A....thank you. Still shaking my head with the realisation that children really do have thoughts like, "did God put these thoughts in my head"!
Please Bishop Barron and Brandon....can you talk about his great earthly journey in symbolism...'The Pilgrim's Progress' ....I just got to realize what a great evangelizer John Bunyan was in the 17th century. Please can yoh talk about this great man Bishop Barron.....the story although abbreviated in the version I listened to, was simply fascinating and amazing to think such a man lived his life under so great a turmoil. Please talk about John Bunyan...many tks!!!!
Re Sam from Minnesota's question about animals (15.20;) Animals clearly understand Love, therefore by definition they know God. Any creature which knows God must have a soul, and so must go to Heaven. btw Pope Francis, although he didn't say animals have a soul as such, has recently said that he believes animals do go to Heaven.
Thank you so much Father Barron for your ministry. Why did Jesus accept the pleading of the map with unclean spirit in today’s Gospel reading to send the legion(demon) into the swine knowing that they will destroy the people’s source of income? I look forward to reading your explanation. Once again thank you. ❤️
There could be umpteen initiatives by kids. Talking of Books, I once purchased a well-printed book of Paintings by kids and there was this one painting of a driver and a couple in a car. The caption of the painting read: 'God driving Adam and Eve out of the Garden of Eden.' I would like to see Word On Fire Catholic Ministries to organise kids for some RUclips episodes. The pandemic lock down has brought about host of engagements even virtually.
‘Why did God create “bad” germs?’ Hard to accept that God would be more concerned with bacteria and viruses as part of His creation over those made in His image. I would have answered by highlighting the fact that the order of creation we’re now living in is fallen, subsequent to the disobedience of Adam and Eve, and parts of this order are permissive but not sovereign with respect to His will. What will lions eat in heaven? Will they lay down with the lamb? Maybe for awhile and then eat it? Will they have to eat at all? Probably not. I know I’m looking forward to trees that grow perfect ribeye and T-bone steaks! For with God, all things are possible!
So here is something to chew on. If heaven is a place of ultimate happiness, and you will not be perfectly happy without your son or daughter there, will your son or daughter be there regardless of the state of their soul? Can the logic of the “animals in heaven” syllogism be applied in this way? Isn’t this Universalism? Not being difficult - just my mind wandering.
if God could will everyone into heaven, or even if we human could will that, we would(but we couldn't) the difference here is dogs/animal don't have the kind of freewill that we human do. your son and daughter can act against yours and God's will and will themselves out of heaven, and you will have to be perfectly happy about that or you have to make the difficult choice of joining them wherever they are (so you can be happy). Now, the more difficult question: is God in hell with the damned (because he loves all of us) and if he is in hell, then is hell longer hell?--hence, what really is heaven?
There are a myriad of reasons to believe animals will experience a happy afterlife. But i dont think you took your happinness argument far enough. It leaves the question, do i really need this animal to be happy? So you question heaven. A better approach would be to say we were made in the image and likeness of God, so true and good desires we have, God has also. So God cares for animals as we do and desires their good. Thats one argument. The other is that God doesnt place desires in the human heart vainly. So our good desire to see animals in the afterlife is already evidence of what God plans to do.
I will use these videos to teach my 4 yr old grandson about about Christ. Thank you . Love social media for these reasons.
Thanks Bishop Barron, GOD bless you and all the little children on this show. So cute. I enjoyed it.
Praise the Lord

Any chance you could put the Kids Q & A in a RUclips playlist?! That would be awesome!
Thank you for doing this for the kids--& for us!! I learn so much from their truly profound questions!
These kids are so cute and they really do ask the best questions sometimes. I never thought about the Adam and Eve one!

Re Sam from Minnesota's question about animals (15.20;)

ahh,so nice!!
I am sure Bishop Robert Barron
if he chose to get married and have kids will be a great father by the way he explains to kids
Hopefully these kids' generation will defend the faith and the moral values better than our generation.

Yes, you cannot destroy what God creates. A Rule

How can my son post a question? How may we reach you? thanks!
That little girl is so cute. Maybe there’s a children’s book to explore these subjects.

I think ultimate happiness will be God's presence itself, which should compensate all other or even encompasses all other presence.
if God could will everyone into heaven, or even if we human could will that, we would(but we couldn't) the difference here is dogs/animal don't have the kind of freewill that we human do. your son and daughter can act against yours and God's will and will themselves out of heaven, and you will have to be perfectly happy about that or you have to make the difficult choice of joining them wherever they are (so you can be happy). Now, the more difficult question: is God in hell with the damned (because he loves all of us) and if he is in hell, then is hell longer hell?--hence, what really is heaven?
Perfect happiness is God, not our desire to be with our children or pet. Our desires will be complete only with God.
There are a myriad of reasons to believe animals will experience a happy afterlife. But i dont think you took your happinness argument far enough.
