      I’m guessing/hoping that’s the direction they’re going. It always felt like they were preparing him to stick around for a while (possibly longer than RDJ), and now with a new trilogy greenlit that might be the overall plan. Have a high school trilogy, a college trilogy, and then adult Peter (maybe as a supporting role like RDJ in Phase 3).

      @@WyattoonsComics I think we probably will get a third trilogy because sony needs to keep making at least one spidey movie every five years to mantain the rights. So i think we'll get a third trilogy with the introduction of Miles Morales or another spiderman where Peter Parker needs to face absolutely dangerous threats like Kraven and the Sinister Six (But this time, all from his own reality). And, at same time engage and big crossover events as a suporting character like you said about RDJ in Infinity Saga. I know they planed a Kraven movie before the multiveser idea spread so i hoe Peter Parker dies at the end of third trilogy like in Ultimate series and Spiderverse movie, fighting Kraven or the sinister Six, would be emotional as hell and really iconic.

    I have a strong feeling that NWH will end with Peter following through on the initial spell to make the world forget his identity. It'll bring him back to his roots as a solo vigilante facing a world with bigger threats than what he faced in _Homecoming._ It's clear that the theme is Peter trying to have everything he wants without actually sacrificing anything. He wants the world to forget, but to keep the bonds he's formed with the sharing of his secret. But I'm pretty sure after seeing how everyone's lives are effected by his secret being out, that he learns the importance of his secrecy. By the end of the movie, he's gonna have to be strong and give up the things he wants the most, even his dreams.
    So after NWH, he would be going into University with a newfound maturity, understanding and weight brought on by his double life. Hopefully they bring back the fact that he trusts very few people with his identity, even other heroes, and even in space (I'm getting really tired of everyone taking off their masks/helmets every 5 seconds for the star value of the actors faces).
    MCU Spidey has had a specific arc centered around Peter growing up and facing bigger responsibilities. When he was starting out, he managed to have some helping hands and security with friends. But now that he's getting older, he's left facing those responsibilities alone. No Ned to build Lego's with while discussing Spider-man duties, no MJ to share his fears with, no Aunt May to alleviate his stress, and no Happy to keep him directly tied to the Avengers/Tony

I also wonder if they will in fact have Tobey Maguire play MCU Uncle Ben, then Peter seeing the literal image of his uncle acting as Spider-man would lead to Peter starting to be more inspired by Ben’s memory as he chooses to be Spider-man, not to live up to others, and not solely because of guilt, but because it’s a responsibility he chooses to bear.
      I mean, hey. If Marvel decided a fan theory about the kid in Iron Man 2 was fun enough to be made canon (without ever actually delving into it directly in the movies), then making this fan request made since day 1 would be easy. Maybe something like Peter looking at old photographs in the list credits scene and we’re shown a picture of Uncle Ben with Aunt May and a younger Peter.

    The college period is definitely harder to pin down compared to the high school era, since really Peter's college days last all the way through I want to say 1982? So you've got Stan Lee, Gerry Conway, Len Wein, Marv Wolfman, and Denny O'Neill's runs to work through for a theoretical college trilogy of films. So there's a metric ton of material they can choose from going forward. That said, this is a fantastic rundown of Lee's contributions to this era, and the overall trajectory of Spidey as a character going forward. I can only hope the next filmmakers can be this thoughtful when considering where to take things next

      The thing is that even in the first comics there was a contradiction, the comic book presented him as a shy kid, but when Flash is a dickhead to him he always answers with a energetic remark that doesn't seem like a "shy guy" would do, so you can explain this change as him gaining confidence after the bite. Actually, even in the first comic he shows a confident side, he asks one girl out and she answers "For the millionth time, you are not my type" so he asks the girl constantly even after being rejected so many times.. I'm a true INTP and I would never lol He even says: "Hey! There's a new science fair tonight! Does anyone want to go out with me?" and they don't accept.. A INTP wouldn't call anyone, they would want to be alone. It just seems he's a loner not because he's really introverted, but because people around him were dickheads or were jealous of him being the most intelligent of the class. (Or because he was too diferent from them, had different interests) This is a personality analysis of MCU Peter Parker and it says: "His social life is weak, but it's not because he doesn't want one. He may not be a social A-lister in high school, but it's not because he prefers to be alone." www.google.com/amp/s/www.16personalities.com/articles/peter-parker-aka-spider-man-the-personality-type-of-a-webslinger/amp "His banter is nonstop, not just while behind a mask, like other versions of the character, but even as Peter Parker." "You almost hear the lack of confidence in Peter's voice. He is always looking for others to validate him. He may act confident, but it's motivated from outside of himself rather than a sureness that comes from within. He cares too much what others think".

Peter’s outward confidence grew post-spidey, but it’s not like he was completely unable to socialize beforehand. Rather, it was that he was a cold asshole who couldn’t see the flaws in himself, and that made him hard to approach. While being a victim of bullying for this attitude, Peter was never really that great of a guy before being Spider-Man. I remember I had these Marvel "Essencial" issues. It featured a couple storylines including the Spiderman no more storyline.
    Spidey stories alwaus had a ficinating way of pushing the whole comic book medium forward.
    A kid whose a hero instead of an adult.
    The public hates him instead of fawning over him.
    The intricate relationships he formed.
    The depths of tragedy like Gwen and Uncle Ben.
    The introduction of Venom.
    So many iconc storylines that so many other medims would borrow.

  • @armenmanvel

    I like this video, but still don't really get "bad temper Peter" point. Like sure, Peter have really short temper, but it's not THAT bad, it's very regular one I would argue. Tho I have to admit, in the college, Peter starts to lose himself more.
    I'm just saying this because I actually have bad temper like I'm pissed off, swear and insult people CONSTANTLY and believe me Peter isn't even close to that.

    • @tonylozano1728
      @tonylozano1728 2 года назад +6

      Peter has bad temper lol. Just cuz he can’t swear in an early comic doesn’t negate that. People act out in different ways when their temper is short and his is short probably due to some repressed trauma from losing his parents so young that they never ever explore

    • @danielhart7435

      I think he means in comparison to the Sam Raimi Peter Parker everyone goes off of

    • @armenmanvel
      @armenmanvel 2 года назад

      @@tonylozano1728my point wasn't about swearing, but acting in general because like I said I do have actual bad temper. And Peter was eventually swearing in the comics, but he wasn't using it often even tho he still had his short temper.
      You don't get that I agree Peter loses himself, but don't agree it's that often as people think. I see it as a 50/50 where it always depends on the situation just like for us people.

    There is debate as to whether or not Ditko really did leave over Norman Osborn being Green Goblin, seeing as how it was foreshadowed in issues that he worked on, as well as Norman's villainy in general. It was more likely just because he wasn't interested in being famous for comics the way Stan was, and seeing as how Marvel was getting pretty popular by the end of the 60s, fame was becoming unavoidable, so he left before too much more attention could be drawn to him.

    • @dakotah7683
      @dakotah7683 Год назад +1

      There is no debate considering that Ditko wrote that he plotted it and never had an issue with the whole Green Goblin thing. That's a creation of idiotic fans . Ditko stated that he left due to a lack of communication from Leez not speaking with them for a year and not paying him for being a plotter.
