Products used:
acetate/plastic sheet for plate - look for flat plastic packaging, plastic file folders, etc or purchase Yuppo or Dur-a lar paper at an art store
paper - best quality gives best results, but copy paper, mixed media paper, etc can be used -- the paper will need to be used dampened The 40 page Sketchbook tablet from Dollar Tree will work
tempera paint - I purchased bottles of Prang brand tempera paint at Dollar Tree and they worked well. watercolor paint may work as well, not as rich in texture and pigment
brushes and other mark making tools
sponge for dampening paper
