my favorite movie is django unchained and it's a movie about slavery so the white actors say a lot of slurs lol, I don't think it matters imo cause it's just a character being played
@@Enchantix00Sasori very true!!! and on that topic i personally usually see people taking it as “representation” not in the project but just in the industry having an actor to feel connected to personally in that sense! but id also like to look and dig deeper to see more on that !
I thank algorithm and the search function for recommending this! Your content is nice and I can easily follow it! You have so many potential to be a good storyteller! My suggestion is more of the delivery, a.k.a the way how you tell your thoughts, since it's a video essay so this is important. One, background music is too loud and overpowering your voice, so I can't focus on your story. Two, it might be your personality already to be slow and a bit dark, but I believe you can be more energetic and passionate in telling this essay! This doesn't mean you should change your shirt to be a bright-colored one lol I just finished an hour (yes, an hour) essay from Jose about queer misery in the screen ruclips.net/video/6kNFNRWHH8k/видео.htmlsi=C0CYZOCPth8o4Ju1 And I see this as a perfect example of a good video essay!! You can learn how to talk like him (not following his style, but see how he tell the story). He tells it with a passion, he's energetic (but not lousy loud), and he knows what he's saying. He puts breaks, some witty jokes, questions, tones, and it makes the video essay much more interesting!! Hahaha sorry if I commented too much but i saw A LOT of potential for you to get bigger than this with your video essays! I subscribed already so can't wait to see what's next for you 🎉
i can’t thank you enough for this comment since it helps a lot! i’ve always been interested and wanted to make these styles of videos partly since they’re among my favorite to watch as well. so that’s why i began to start and improve since filming can be difficult due to my camera recording the audio so low and background music even at %1-4% being so overpowering so i figured with time and feedback and better equipment i’d eventually improve. but yes my personality and tone is quite awkward/ dull/ slow so i’m gonna work to let natural flow and personality out haha. i’ll definitely go through and analyze and reuse/ recycle in my own way people like Jose’s speaking and storytelling style :) and no worries since these types of comments are one’s i always wanted to receive since they’re genuinely breaking down as to how i can improve in a constructive way so it’s very helpful!
As a gay man…. Yes, it’s called acting

Would there not also be the question "Should gay actors play straight roles?" ?
