@@Herring1967 Richard, I know this is 6 years old, but your best interviews are ones where the person you're interviewing relaxes, is not in character the whole time and there is no competition with you with trying to be the funniest. Then we find out the real them. Ayoade always strikes me as someone who's always in character and it's kind of wearing.
He's wrong about the Daleks. They haven't used any of the original series operators in the post-2005 show at all. And Revelation of the Daleks was 1985, not 87. Christ, I need a life.
70 views, I'm the third 'like', it's nice to not have a life so you can get in on these early..... is that the Time Traveling Finger?...what did you stick it in, to get it infected?.....
As much as I love Richard, this doesn’t stand comparison with Stew’s interview with Alexei from the same year. I dunno, maybe they just didn’t click. The deployment of emergency questions which largely failed is telling.
What a great guy. Love his 80's TV work and all his books. Thanks for posting this.
Darth Hitler,
His books are sureal masterpieces.
always great to see my great uncle Alexei doing well
That blue light reflecting off Alexei's head looks proper sci fi.
Excellent interview, thank you Richard.
Ta
Alexei Sayle was hilarious on The Young Ones x
Watch merry go round
Lex is a comedy godfather.
Love the podcasts. Still hoping for Peter Baynham to make an appearance!!
I see Richard Herring hasn't grown up since those distant days at the BBC
you say that like it's a bad thing
Noel fielding would be a good guest
nah he can fuck right off
He'd be dull as dishwater.
@@cheekygeeks6662He is, in fact.
I like strangling budgies.
(I'm what you'd call an animal lover.)
should get Richard ayoade on this year
+Marcus Barlow trying
+Richard Herring Out of interest have you ever tried to get Daniel Kitson? I'd be really intrigued to hear him on here!
+qwertyuiopdan1 yes many times. He is resolutely opposed
Haha! No surprise. Love all your content and really enjoyed Happy Now? Cheers

Looking forward to Danny Baker (possibly my favourite RHLSTP RHLSTP) and Harry Shearer!
incredibly funny, blue, glowy-headed, bastard.
At times it looks like he's got a dent in his head.

Yep Stew’s interview was really interesting, just watched it. Different I suppose for Richard because it was in front of an audience.
@@FUNKINETIK
Yeah, I suppose I should have taken that into account. Will re-watch both at some point anyway.
@@rayscard2477 Seems to me that Stewart Lee makes you feel vely angly. But don’t let yourself go hey.
