I remember this. We were the same age both from New York. It was such a waste of a beautiful young life. I am definitely pro police. However, looking at it from a technical point of view in as much as investigative procedures it is astounding to me that the detectives/police can be so dense! Ellie gave them the case on a platter. Then when the lowlifes left the family meeting, it was essentially confirmed, how much more do you need!!??? If they had arrested them on the next day the case would have been over then.
