Would you ever consider making a video explaining how you got into what you do? I'm just starting as a hobbyist but I can clearly see the potential to make money (as a side gig).

Great video, straight to the point! I am very new to filmmaking. And the main question for me is which one to buy - 6k or 4k (I can't afford 6k Pro). Basically, I have one very old lens Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 USM 'L'. I'm not a fan of those speedboosters. While 6k is just 500$ more and Metabones cost around 700$, so I guess 6k would be better investment. Or do you think I could use 4k without the metabones speedbooster. Just i'm a bit afraid of that 1.9x cropfactor. Thanks in advance for sharing the opinion!

It’s going to come down to the projects that you are working on. 4K is plenty of resolution for you. The crop can be good and bad. It personally doesn’t effect me. If you go with the 4K you could use the extra money to buy more accessories which I usually always recommend. Accessories will help you out on a project before resolution (4K/6k) will. The 24-70mm f2.8 is a great lens no matter which version you have. I’m also not into speed boaster which is why I went with this lens. But I will say that if you have canon glass (lens) then it can be great to help you repurpose your lens.

@@StixxVision Thanks. I will save for my 6k. A better sensor, plus I could use my only L lens without any adapter. So I could buy accessories like cages/V batteries/display.

Hey, dude. Just watched your newest video! Great content, ofc bmpcc is the best, hehe. I would like to ask about ND filters - what are you using with your Smallrig Matte Box? Just and adapter for simple Variable ones or expensive IR ones. Posted here just to be more consistet, maybe more people will find it more useful talking under the video which is for rigging your bmpcc.

I'm currently building my bmpcc 4k rig. So far I have a full cage(small rig), top handle, SSD w/ mount, & Small rig side handle. I think my next purchases need to be a baseplate and a battery mount. I was wondering how you felt about follow focus systems, like tilta? Do you use them?

If you spend more than $10,000 on an entire kit (audio to editing), you likely spent too much. The small/medium market is an abysmal mess and getting worse. Good luck on getting paid more than $500 for a :30 spot.
