I have been 6 months free of my repetitive sin and I pray I will continue to be free from it forever. I have heard a sermon praying that Lord please take away all forms of temptations around me because I cannot handle it. When I started praying that, my feelings toward that sin changed. I didn't want to do it anymore. I have no urges anynore. Sure there are times my idle mind would say, do it once it will feel good.... But I still have not and thankful for that. If you are struggling with a sin, you can take it from me that it is possible. I was not actually hoping to be freed for months of it. I have read so many devotions and heard so many sermons how to stop it but the prayer of Jesus taking away all temptations around me was the one that opened the gates of freedom. Believe you can change only through Jesus' name.

I'm not saying I've conquered ANYTHING, but I fasted from Dec 28, 2019- Jan 18, 2020 ONLY by the grace of God. I've never fasted longer than 3 days and the fast just happened out of nowhere. It HAD to be supernatural. My remembrance of my habitual sin is still there, but the desire is watered down, not strong as it was. I'm not indulging myself and I feel like God is in TOTAL control here. Just thought I'd share. ✌🏽💖

These are actually what I'm experiencing right now!! Im being freed from my repetitive sin which is bingeing and purging. At first it is hard. Really hard. Stumbled many times. I did fast many times in the beginning and it did help. But it sometimes comes back when i think about not doing it and sin again. But that's okay!! If anyone is experiencing the same, you are already doing a progress. Just don't focus on your sins and focus your time in God. You have to get rid of social media, listening to secular musics, watching immoral movies. You have to avoid these things because i noticed that when im more into these, my mind is far away from God and makes it easier for me to sin. But if you put God first and sacrifice your time instead of doing your flesh desires. You will forget about sinning because there will be no more room to sin anymore. Also praying many many times in a day really helps like praying before doing anything you gotta do and reading his word, watching sermons, Godly stuff and fasting once in awhile really helps!! you gotta seek him! The truth will set you free i promise you. It is gonna be hard but disciplining yourself in a period of time is better than sinning for all your lives!!! I pray that everyone will get delivered from their repetitive sins!! These are just my tips and i hope these will help you too :). Im still working on it but i found that these gives me more progress as time goes on. Just remember, do not give up!! You might stumble now but try again tomorrow. I actually overcome binge eating by fillling me with healthy food first :) and it is like applygodsword said, you sin less when you fill yourself with God first. Also what helped me was learning get to know God's character so that the devil can't lie to me anymore. Satans lies leads to sinning. Truth sets free. Sometimes we go to the wrong thing because we lack our identity in Christ or because we don't know our Father. Father God really loves us.
Keep fighting for the relationship with God. Confess your sin to him and try again. It might help to talk to someone, even if you can't put it into words what you have done. Tell someone you trust that you fell for temptation. Hopefully they will pray with you.

Drinking & smoking 🤮so over it! I spend time with God daily, all day infact. I live alone & work full time - I think its just boredom in the evenings sometimes, but I really want to break this cycle! I do well for a time then fall again - then I do well, feel great & then slip again!!😢
Im a born again Christian since 2004 and my husband suffers from sexual sin and is addicted to masturbation and pornography. I've been praying for him to be set free for years and nothing seems to be happening. We've been together 26 years and it's really taking a toll on me. Please pray for us

@Dan Blizerian well he is the baby of the family. Some of his siblings were much older than him. He actually has 3 siblings and his mother that has passed away. I was told his mother was quit promiscuous when she was young. She actually cheated on her first husband with his friend that was living with them and that man actually was my husbands father. He was raised by his mother alone after his father passed away when he was 5. I know she was very verbally abusive and would scream about anything. Ive asked my husband several times if anything happened to him as a child. I know there was a lot of sex going on in their house. His sister actually pregnant at 14. The whole family suffers from some kind of addiction problem. They were definitely a dysfunctional family. I feel really bad for his family. I've been praying for years for them. I actually brought one of his sister's and mother to the Lord before they passed away.

But during these times I've started to get even more closer to God...I've lost all of my friends b/c they've went the other route (&&) I decided to follow GOD! I've took myself from social media...but started to drift back..(&&) The sin started to come back (&&) I feel as though God is letting me go through this so I will be closer! I have been praying and worshipping at home in my bed 2 times a day. I really need to remember to pray in the morning. I've had so many bad habits since I was a child. I've been overcoming many of those habitual sins but still have problems with some. I do have conviction over them and I truly want to beat them . I don't pray for money or cars. No selfish prayers. I pray for God to touch my heart to love him with all my heart, mind , soul and strength. I pray to love my enemies and neighbor as myself. And always prayers similar. I pray for conviction. I'm going to start fasting. I want to walk upright before the Lord as much as I can. Pray for me please.

I've been beating myself up for 2 years since I repented because I can't stop smoking these vile cigarettes I've been addicted too for 30 years ; God has delivered me from sexual sin, foul language, anger, selfishness, drug addiction & so much more but these cigarettes really tear me up inside cause I can't seem to give them up . Especially point no.2 I've been struggling with that issue for over 12 years now and nobody I know understand this, even in the big Church I go to and my wife so I've not known who to speak to. I don't blame them though. I could only speak to God. Many Christians who've obviously not experienced this tormenting issue would tell you how foolish you are, going back to your own vomit or tell you that God would not allow you to be tempted above your capacity of resistance. If you go to the back of your Bible to the concordance you should be able to find the word "prayer" and you can then do a word study on this. That might really help :)

Pastor Mark what God words for me. I repent for my sin. I get tormented daily and opression i always but on the armor of God. The flesh try to drag me down but sometime i do things with out thinking right. God forgive me. I will now no longer do those old sins things and turn away from my old ways. I will start to work out and get toned again. Eat healthy and to defeat my enemy who curses me daily. I pick up the Cross daily and follow you Father.

There's no such thing as 'repetitive sin'. Jesus has come to take AWAY the sin of the entire world with the promise never to think of that ever again The Father HAS reconciled the world with Himself! 🌾 You alreády are set free, and you alreády has been declared holy by His word, and yr sin alreády has been dealt with ánd paid!!, and the Father HAS given you the gift of righteousness (as if you've never sinned)!! Now is thís is not the good news Jesus has brought ín and for us, then i don't know. Stop focussing on that which you cannot get victory over. Jesus alreády got victory of every 'repetitive sin' we strughle with "while we WERE still sinners". Rom 5:8 We now are the righteousness* of God in Christ. Yes, believe this eternal truth and declare it constantly over yrself and see if you still struggle with 'repetitive sin'. God is Son-conscious (not 'sin consc). Renew yr thoughts to His words. Rom 12:2 *as if you've never sinned. 1John 4:17 Please read.
Makes me think of Alcoholics Anonymous...substitute one vice, alcohol, for another: sugar, or so my sister informed me about the benefit of going to meetings. There was a time when God allowed me to wallow in sin, until I was desperate enough to ask Him for help - besides probably my folks praying for me. It was a while after God gave me freedom, that I realized that I wasn’t needing to participate in the sin anymore, that I had never imagined living without. Since then, I’ve personally seen many more answers to prayers, after God led me to fast.

Please, I don't know what else to do.i talk to God,I swear I love him,if it wasn't for him I wouldn't be here,but I keep failing him & disappointing him.& when I'm sinning I always have this voice in my head saying your going to regret it after & I do everytime & I end up bawling my eyes out after the fact.because I could've chose to not do that but still I did it anyway & I tell God I'm weak im not strong enough to fight this.i really don't want to go to hell for this.i ask that yall please.help me give me some advice before it's to late. Don't give up Ashley, keep on praying to God the Father every day even (or especially) when you have failed him. I know that when I was in the sin spiral I couldn't bring myself to read God's word or pray because I had failed - I was trying to be free from sin in my own efforts. Don't give up, keep praying for the Lord to change your heart (and don't forget the Holy Spirit!) and also cut out parts of your life that take you away from God. In my experience stopping listening to secular music (like pop and indie which often have very bad / satanic messages within) which seems tough at first but is not that bad, because the music seeds ideas into your head which can develop into temptation and then sin. This was interesting to watch. I have been on a journey through 1 and 2 - taking notes of my own behavior and how to change the chain-reactions -and is now at 3. It felt like cheating to be told the step 4 before I got there, however it was good to know there is a happy ending! :D
This is a powerful video teaching. I find it completely consistent with scripture and the Holy Spirit's teaching. I will definitely be watching more of your teachings. Keep up the good work. The impact of the Internet is far reaching. As you said, victory over sin is not keeping the law or some other religious dogma which is based on human, fleshly efforts. The uniqueness of Christianity is the fact that our victory over sin is relational with Christ/God. Without the removal of our sin by Christ, there is no relationship. Always know that God loves you, go to Him for love, acceptance and restoration. Your sin has been dealt with don't let it keep you from God. God's love and grace is far beyond our narrow view of these terms. Seek Christ, remain/abide in Him, so you may continue to bear fruit.

I have been praying and worshipping at home in my bed 2 times a day. I really need to remember to pray in the morning. I've had so many bad habits since I was a child. I've been overcoming many of those habitual sins but still have problems with some. I do have conviction over them and I truly want to beat them . I don't pray for money or cars. No selfish prayers. I pray for God to touch my heart to love him with all my heart, mind , soul and strength. I pray to love my enemies and neighbor as myself. And always prayers similar. I pray for conviction. I'm going to start fasting. I want to walk upright before the Lord as much as I can. Pray for me please.
When I sin repetitively, I feel numb after. I pray for true repentance. I feel so ashamed.

I've been beating myself up for 2 years since I repented because I can't stop smoking these vile cigarettes I've been addicted too for 30 years ; God has delivered me from sexual sin, foul language, anger, selfishness, drug addiction & so much more but these cigarettes really tear me up inside cause I can't seem to give them up . This video is a blessing & I believe God guided me here to believe in Jesus' perfect work instead of my own strength or conviction to obey God's Commandments & not sin but stop condemning myself & just pray, read God's Word, & the closer I get to God the further I'll get away from my old self .God bless.

I've been struggling with that issue for over 12 years now and nobody I know understand this, even in the big Church I go to and my wife so I've not known who to speak to. I don't blame them though. I could only speak to God. Many Christians who've obviously not experienced this tormenting issue would tell you how foolish you are, going back to your own vomit or tell you that God would not allow you to be tempted above your capacity of resistance. I know the Scriptures they are referring to but have failed sooo many times despite my desire to serve the Lord. So I thank Him for using you in providing this different and compassionate approach.

It is true that a prayer that comes from the heart can move mountains, it increases your faith, and brings you closer to God.
If you go to the back of your Bible to the concordance you should be able to find the word "prayer" and you can then do a word study on this. That might really help :)

Pastor Mark what God words for me. I repent for my sin. I get tormented daily and opression i always but on the armor of God. The flesh try to drag me down but sometime i do things with out thinking right. God forgive me. I will now no longer do those old sins things and turn away from my old ways. I will start to work out and get toned again. Eat healthy and to defeat my enemy who curses me daily. I pick up the Cross daily and follow you Father.

I went from repetitive sin to becoming unbelieving. Since then my life has gone from bad to worse. I am now seeking God again and hopes he restores my life, forgives my sins and redeems me.

There's no such thing as 'repetitive sin'. Jesus has come to take AWAY the sin of the entire world with the promise never to think of that ever again The Father HAS reconciled the world with Himself! 🌾
You alreády are set free, and you alreády has been declared holy by His word, and yr sin alreády has been dealt with ánd paid!!, and the Father HAS given you the gift of righteousness (as if you've never sinned)!!
Now is thís is not the good news Jesus has brought ín and for us, then i don't know. Stop focussing on that which you cannot get victory over. Jesus alreády got victory of every 'repetitive sin' we strughle with "while we WERE still sinners". Rom 5:8
We now are the righteousness* of God in Christ. Yes, believe this eternal truth and declare it constantly over yrself and see if you still struggle with 'repetitive sin'.
God is Son-conscious (not 'sin consc). Renew yr thoughts to His words. Rom 12:2

There was a time when God allowed me to wallow in sin, until I was desperate enough to ask Him for help - besides probably my folks praying for me. It was a while after God gave me freedom, that I realized that I wasn’t needing to participate in the sin anymore, that I had never imagined living without.
Since then, I’ve personally seen many more answers to prayers, after God led me to fast.

Please, I don't know what else to do.i talk to God,I swear I love him,if it wasn't for him I wouldn't be here,but I keep failing him & disappointing him.& when I'm sinning I always have this voice in my head saying your going to regret it after & I do everytime & I end up bawling my eyes out after the fact.because I could've chose to not do that but still I did it anyway & I tell God I'm weak im not strong enough to fight this.i really don't want to go to hell for this.i ask that yall please.help me give me some advice before it's to late. He's blessed me do much this year.& in the beginning I was soooooo close to God & idk what happened 😭😭😭😭😭😭 I hate it that I kinda strayed away from him.& I know he loves me but I don't feel like he needs to forgive me for something I know better for. It's my fault not his & I just feel like a piece of crap because I keep letting God down.
Don't give up Ashley, keep on praying to God the Father every day even (or especially) when you have failed him. I know that when I was in the sin spiral I couldn't bring myself to read God's word or pray because I had failed - I was trying to be free from sin in my own efforts. Don't give up, keep praying for the Lord to change your heart (and don't forget the Holy Spirit!) and also cut out parts of your life that take you away from God. In my experience stopping listening to secular music (like pop and indie which often have very bad / satanic messages within) which seems tough at first but is not that bad, because the music seeds ideas into your head which can develop into temptation and then sin. God bless you.

This was interesting to watch. I have been on a journey through 1 and 2 - taking notes of my own behavior and how to change the chain-reactions -and is now at 3. It felt like cheating to be told the step 4 before I got there, however it was good to know there is a happy ending! :D

As you said, victory over sin is not keeping the law or some other religious dogma which is based on human, fleshly efforts. The uniqueness of Christianity is the fact that our victory over sin is relational with Christ/God. Without the removal of our sin by Christ, there is no relationship. Always know that God loves you, go to Him for love, acceptance and restoration. Your sin has been dealt with don't let it keep you from God. God's love and grace is far beyond our narrow view of these terms. Seek Christ, remain/abide in Him, so you may continue to bear fruit.
